Chapter 2

Out of all the individuals that visit this store, Amira finds herself most intimidated by Karens. They are quite unique, they are ugly bitches!

“Call your manager now!”

Amira just yawned at what she heard. It was as if the gossips of ants came out of Karen's mouth, she couldn't figure out. She watched like a mirror, don't have a damn to the person staring in front of her.

“I don't have a manager,” she replied simply.

Karen's ear turned red as if she was eating a lot of chili. She breathed deeply, calming and extending her patience.

“Who do you think you're talking to? You have no respect, ah! You're just a worker, I'm a costumer! Customer is always right! So bring out your manager, so he knows what you're doing -!”

“That we don't give a discount, especially if you only buy candy?” Amira immediately asked with a smile.

“Amira!”

Karen smiled as she glanced back at the source of the voice. She immediately turned to Amira, posting a grin.

“Oh, I thought you didn't have a manager? Eh, what do you call him?”

Karen noticed at the manager, who seemed proud of herself. She seems to have won a big contest because of the confidence she has.

“Excuse me? Are you the boss of this woman?” She pointed at Amira with the fan she was holding. “I'm not happy with her. Why are you hiring a rude employee to costumers?”

Amira's boss, George, ignored her. It just walked over to the counter and passed her.

“Owner, you're here!” smiling, Amira's greeting as she raised her hands.

“Yes, yes. Good work today, Amira.” said the old man and adjusted his eyeglasses. “You should hurry home now.”

Amira stared at her watch. She saw the movement of the hands of the clock, it was eleven o'clock in the evening.

Her boss confronted the woman, who is disgusted from now on. “Go home, we're going to close.”

Again, they ignored the woman until she finally left the store. They even heard it rumble as if it were a child who had not bought a toy.

“Are there any more Karen, Amira?”

“I'm used to it, boss,” Amira laughed.

“You know, I don't know what I'm going to do with those Karens.” He leaned against the counter and looked at his little shop. “Good, and you handled it. Some part-timers have already given up on them so well, and you can handle them for real!”

Amira laughed softly again.

“I have no option, boss. If I only had a choice, I might have resigned here a long time ago!”

That's the truth. Amira doesn't really intend to stay here long, just because, regardless of what she applies for jobs, she won't be able to pass. She graduated as a Marketing Student but still could not pass. And if she leaves her job now, she doesn't see where else destiny will pick her up.

“But anyway, you gave me the idea, boss. I will reach you out, I'll resign in the next few weeks.”

His boss, George, seemed to be bleeding. He was surprised by what Amira said.

“H -huh? I could pay off you more!” George encourages the joking Amira.

“You can offer me more!” Amira suppressed a laugh as she stared at the confused George.

She burst out laughing when her boss couldn't answer.

"Just kidding! Did you see earlier? That karen want a candy and asked for a discount, what about your other products? Do you think your shop will survive if I will demand more?"

There are almost as many stores around George, so even if he doesn't make any more money, as long as he gets the investment, he is ready to give a discount to them.

“How's that, boss. I'm going to close and what time is it. I might not have anything to ride.”

Amira removed her green apron. She folded it to five and put it in the drawer, at the bottom.

“Don't worry, I'll just close, Amira. Go home and it's night.”

Amira shrugged at what George said. “Ok …”

She turned around and picked up the red backpack. She slung it over hee shoulder before finally leaving the store.

Not only that, but she seems to have stepped on Mount Fuji because of the extreme cold. Because her pants were so thin, she gradually felt the cold on her body.

“I'm used to coming home at this hour, but I'm still foreign by this cold breeze!” she whispered to herself before finally walking in the middle of the night.

Sounds of crickets dominated her path. The yellow streetlights that serve as her guide.

And when she took refuge in the waiting shed, she just sighed because of the extreme cold.

“When I get rich, I'll buy a heater, and then I'll install it on the moon.”

It also took a few minutes before a bus finally stopped in front of her. As she rode, as she sat, she felt tired from standing all day.

With her eyes closed, less than a minute later, a man dressed in women's clothing approached her.

She didn't know if she would be fired up or laugh. Be annoyed because it bothered her, or laugh because of the uneven and thick make-up posted on his face.

"Nice, you might bet to apply!” shrill male voice. “The freshness of your aura! You will be famous!”

Amira frowned to greet him.

“Oh, why is that?”

“Maybe you are interested to work for my company!” gladly, it says that it seems to have seen a star. “Wages are high!”

When Amira heard the word wages, her ear immediately tingled.

“What are the requirements?” she immediately asked.

But the man raised his hand. “Don't worry, there are no requirements! All it takes is good face!”

In her mind, she would definitely earn a lot if Amira agreed. Because of her beauty, its porcelain complexion and its red lips, he will undoubtedly get a huge amount of money. And he didn’t seem to be disappointed because he got the curiosity of her.

“When do I start?”

“Now, right away!”

“But how's that? I haven't been home yet. I haven't been able to change my clothes yet.”

“Don't worry! There's a lot of dress and makeup there!”

Because of the joy, she did not even ask what job she would take.

Until they finally stopped at a two-story building. Building that is plain in color, nothing special. If anyone could get through it, they would think it was just a simple house.

“Will I be a housekeeper?” Amira asked as they entered the two floors of the establishment.

That was the first thing that came to her mind because of what she saw.

“Yes,” the man answered weakly before they could finally enter.

It seems that only now did Amira get nervous when they entered a room. Just plain too. Apart from the mirror, bed, aircon, and make-up placed there, there was nothing else to use.

“Here, do you know how to put on makeup?” the man asked and pointed to the make-up arranged opposite the mirror. “Just call me Mother Jeffrey.”

Amira nodded in response.

“Ok, just wait! Wait for me here and fix it first. I'll just talk to our boss, so he can interview you right away.”

Amira could do nothing but stare at the make-up. The last time she did this was at her graduation.

She picked one up. She was very happy and wanted to thank Jeffrey for his help. She did not think that just by taking the bus, she would have a job.

Not only that, but she smiled, she faces the mirror in front of her. Furthermore, she watched every time she put make-up on her face.

She stayed there for a few minutes until she finally finished.

She looked at the watch in surprise. Astonishment immediately flowed through her mind when she saw the time.

“Shocks, why the delay?”

She sat up in bed, looking up at the ceiling until the door finally opened.

There she saw Jeffrey, with a fat old man. In her mind, she realized that it was probably the boss.

She immediately stood up and bowed. “Good evening.”

The aged man smiled and looked at Jeffrey. “Good job. I will double my pay for you,” he whispered, making Jeffery smile.

Jeffrey turned to Amira. “It's fine, don't waste the opportunity.”

Amira nodded. And when Jeffrey got out, Amira immediately introduced herself.

“My name is Amira. I'm 24, graduated from—.”

She couldn't finish what she was going to say when the old man removed the buttons of his polo.

“Don't introduce yourself, darling. I'm sure I'll moan your name later.”

There, Amira's forehead almost furrowed in astonishment.

“W -what? What do you mean?”

The old man laughed and shook his head.

“Ok, undress now, so we can have more rounds.”

At that moment, it was only then that Amira realized the situation.

Wanting to have the bills paid, she was dazzled by the job offer and was not asked if it was safe or not.

She was completely pushed back and swallowed completely when the man took off his clothes.

"S -stay away! Try to come closer, I'll kill you!”
