CHAPTER 3

It's already late but my eyes still open. There were many things happened to me in just one day. My mind was in a moment that I want to run and get out in this room but the thought that he was guarding outside of this room made me just sit at my bed. The room has dusty table and floor. Tattered curtain and broken windows. The cold wind entered in the room causing me to shiver. I'm still wearing his jacket but it's not enough to make me feel warm since the windows were broken. The door suddenly opened , I saw him entering with clothes in his hand.

" Change with this."

He put it on my bed and exited. I immediately change since I feel sticky with my wet clothes. I hang it to the window to dry. I finally feel fresh with my dry clothes. I lay down, hoping that I will be able to sleep since I feel like my body was being drained because of too much running.

Blood..... I see blood everywhere , dead bodies were being scattered, and screaming were echoing in the surroundings. Werewolf and Vampire fighting for their lives. Each of them trying to win , not wanting to give up.

" Please take care of my child."

The woman kissed the baby before giving it to the other woman.

" Let her live a normal life as a human."

She was crying while looking at her child . After that the other woman run with the baby on her arms. My feet move on her own and I followed them wherever they go. They run and run until they were far away enough to the vampires and werewolfs. The woman stopped. She breathe unsteadily , her face was cover of sweat. She bent down to check the baby on her arms.

" You're very young to experience this kind of agony."

The baby cried as if she already knows what the woman said to her.

Suddenly, There was someone watching them at the bushes , looking for a chance to attack them. He had pale skin with red eyes and a fang that almost showing.

"A vampire."

I tried to call the attention of the woman but it seems that she doesn't hear me. The vampire slowly approaching them. I shout out of lungs but I feel like I am invisible to them. I want to help them, run to them , but my feet suddenly froze on the spot. I'm not able to stay still where I stand. I can see the vampire approaching. He walked slowly, I felt very scared. Suddenly the vampire's mouth opened and the fang came out and was ready to devour them. I feel frustrated that I can't even help them. Gradually, I just closed my eyes because I couldn’t bear to see two innocent people die at the hands of a vampire. Crying was all I could do as I heard the screams and cries of the child. My body feels heavy. I was having trouble breathing as if something heavy on my chest. I can't longer take this. I feel so weak that my knees on the ground .

" Wake up! Wake up!"

I immediately get up when I heard a voice. My heart was beating so fast. Cold sweats pouring down from my forhead. For some unknown reason, my tears suddenly poured because of fear. Another impulsive move from me, I suddenly hug him and cry on his shoulder. I feel that he stiffened but he didn't refused. My dream was still fresh in my mind. The war, the voices who are asking for help, the blood, dead people ,and the two innocent people died in the hands of vampire . I'm so scared watching them fighting and killing each other. I feel like my dream is real.

" Are you okey?"

He asked. Still , my arms wrapped around his shoulder. I calmed down a bit and only a faint sob coming from me. I let go out from his embrace and wiped away my tears.

" I'm sorry."

I said. He just took a deep breath and looked straight at me. I can't read what in his mind. He just stay silent while not looking away from me. For unknown reason, he suddenly smiled foolishly. I was scared because of that.

" It soft."

He said still smirking at me. At first, I don't understand why he acting like that, but I realized that I only wearing a thin white shirt because my undergarments were still wet. I feel the heat on my face and cover my front with my hands.

" Pervert."

He smiled even more at what I said. Gradually, he brought his face closer to mine. I backed away because of that and leaned against the wall. He didn't look away still wearing his foolish smile. I feel my heart does a leap and some butterflies bothering my stomach. As if I was electrified when his arms touch into mine. His face was very close that I can now feel his warm breath. I stiffened when I think that he might kiss me. And with that I just close my eyes and just wait what will happen .

" Hahahahah ."

A laughed came from him. I opened my eyes and saw him holding his stomach because of too much laughing. I stared at him cluelessly.

" Are you thinking that I will kiss you ."

He said between his laughter.

" I just fixing the curtain ."

My face became red because of humiliation. I can't believe that I thought of something ridiculous to happened. I cover my face with my both hands.

" Or maybe....

He suddenly hold my hands and put away on my face.

" What you're thinking was true?"

He cupped my face with his hand and slowly his face getting closer to mine. He stopped and stared at me. His effect on me was different from Louis. I just admiring Louis appearance but for him, I feel like I'm drowning to his stared as if he was hypnotizing me. My heart seems melting because of him. I don't know why I feel this way even though we were just met.

My eyes widened when he suddenly gave me a peak on my lips. I blushed causing him to smirked at me. I don't know what would I react. We were just met this morning and he already did that to me. And I also don't why I'm not angry at him despite of what he did.

" You're so red."

He said and walked out of the room and left me dazzled to what just happened.

Three days passed, I'm still being captived by this vampire. He always followed me wherever I go, he always there whatever I do. I don't understand why he keeping me here , I don't know why he still saying that I am a spy and he want me be a bait for them. To whom? I don't know. I just want to go home, and see my mother. A sudden tears escape from me when I thought of my mother worrying for me.

" Anastasia."

I wiped my tears immediately when I heard a footsteps coming near to me.

" Magnus ?"

He frowned as soon he saw my face. I bent down avoiding his cunning gaze at me.

" Are you crying?" He cupped my chin and tried to face on him. I flinched but he was so strong for me to resist him.

" What's wrong?"

He asked again. Until now , I don't why he treated me this way. His a vampire but I don't why do I feel protected when I'm with him. I don't feel like he's controlling me. Yes he always followed me but not to the point that I will be afraid of him.

" I just miss my mom." I said almost whispering.

He sighed and patted my shoulder. The tears I had been holding back had completely escaped from my eyes. He immediately rushed beside me and engulfed me to his embrace.

" It's still dangerous."

He said while his hand rubbing my back. I tried to comprehend him but even his action towards me still difficult for my mind to process.

" Why are you doing this?" Why do you care for me?"

I asked between my sobs. He let go of me and looked at me straight to my eyes.

" Because your my hostage."

He reached my face and wiped the tears .

" Is this how you treated your hostage?"

Stil, his eyes intently staring at me. I can't read what in his mind. What his plans or what he might do to me?

He stay silent for a second. But without a warning , he crashed his lips into mine. I stiffened on my spot and I don't know if I will push him or not. He hold my backhead and pushed it to deepened the kiss. Seconds later, I found myself responding to him. His hand travelled from my thighs up to my back together with his tounge savoring my inside mouth. I closed my eyes and cling my hands onto his neck as we devoured each other. My mind seems stop functioning because of his touch. He pulled me closer to him and his chest pressed into mine. I gasped when he suddenly bite my lower lips. He's hand still traveling on my back. My fingers running through his hair . I feel like I am drowning to his kiss . My heart pounded in my chest as I feel his soft lips against mine. He pulled me again as he hungrily claiming my mouth and addictively invaded all my senses. Leaving me breathless, he's now invading my neck and tasting my flesh. A faint moan slipped in my mouth as he nibble my neck. My mind is going crazy as I didn't noticed that his hand was already inside my shirt.

" Magnus..."

I said as I parted my lips to his. Looking at me breathlessly , He fixed my shirt and hold my face.

" I'm sorry,"

He walked out leaving me still processing what just happened. I hold my cheeks as I feel my face heated due of the flashback of what we just did.

" Magnus , can I talk to you?"

I said one evening night. Magnus sitting at the stair outside. He just looked at me and motioned his hand for me to sit beside him.I felt the weight of the darkness gradually spreading around the surrounding. My mind suddenly recalled the dream about the vampires and werewolfs. Paranoia started to build up in me.

" What is it?"

I immediately distracted by my thoughts when he spoke. Just I began to calm down, convincing my self that everything is alright.

" About what you said, that I am spy. I just want to clarify that---

" I know."

He didn't give me a chance to finish my words. He looked at me with his rounded brown eyes.

" I know that you are not a spy."
