Chapter 8: Play Pretend

AMERIE was reading peacefully at her pavilion in the garden when she heard someone call her so familiarly, and that someone will ruin her day once again.

Just like how she always did in the past.

Looking up from her book, she saw Amelia running towards her with a bright smile while holding a huge basket as a maid that was assigned to her rushes behind her; seemingly flustered that a noble lady would carry such an item.

If Amerie is the same as before, she will find this act endearing and cute regardless of how the other maids attached to Amelia to care for her looked at her with disgust.

She never noticed it before, but maybe she was just blinded by Amelia's actions that she didn't bother to notice this.

However, she is not the same Amerie as she once was.

Moreover, it is deemed unbecoming of Amelia to do such a thing but the Voulir couple spoiled her rotten, never lecturing her on how to act as a proper lady. Hence, Amelia has no regards to her actions.
