CHAPTER ELEVEN

They were sitting next to each other in the back seat of the car. Her crutches were in the middle of them. As she looked at the back, she saw the security from her palace and his following them.

She exhaled deeply and looked back at the front. A small smile escaped her lips. The driver and one of the guards were sitting in front and silence enveloped the inside of the car. Not until Flint talks.

“You look like you're not close to your parents.” He pointed out.

Hannah gulped and shifted uncomfortably in her seat. She really didn’t want to talk about it, but it looks like Flint thought it was okay to ask.

“How can you say that?”

When their eyes meet, she silently wishes that the emotionless she put into it would be worth it. She bit her tongue inside as her closed lips became a shield against what was happening. She can still remember how she easily told him her problems that night, and is afraid she will tell him again.
