Chapter 8

Drinking down the warm cornflakes in fast gulps, I grabbed my head in my hands and sighed. A very horrible headache decided to wake me up from a very short sleep.

After giving Michael my number I headed back inside the bar to get Abu and Amara as it was almost 1:00am. As I walked into the bar, the people who witnessed my little brawl with the drunk man kept staring at me till it got unnerving. I was almost shouting at them to go get a life but I dismissed the thought the moment it came through. I've had enough drama for the night.

On heading to the table, to my surprise the table was ringing with laughter from the people surrounding it and I sighted Abu with a girl that wasn't there before, beside him. Even Zayn is back into the party spirit as he is also laughing to whatever the new girl said.

I looked around for Amara but didn't see her, almost immediately, I noticed that the dude she was clinging to wasn't here too. This shouldn't be what I am thinking it is. I thought as I ran my hands through my hair.

I walked close to Abu and asked him of Amara.

"She said she won't be long. She left with kelvin a while back."

Really? Wow, I thought.

"And you, where have you been since? You spent like... Wait, lemme check the time..." He pulled his phone from his pocket and swiped the home page before saying; "...Oh, you spent up to one hour outside. Fay, where were you?"

He inquired quietly.

"So, if I was kidnapped, y'all wouldn't even notice I was gone for that long. Right?" I scoffed

"it's not like that, na."

"I don't even want to know how it is again. Where's Amara please? I'm tired, I wanna go home." Fay  said as she looked around the table for any empty chair to sit in, her legs were getting tired already.

Third person's POV

Apparently, her chair was given to Anna, while her bag was placed on the table, which was a good move because assuming her bag was placed on the floor, Fay would have fought with Anna immediately, not caring if she was a stranger. That's how rough she is.

Zayn who noticed Fay looking around for any chair to sit in tapped on his laps and called out towards Fay.

"Come sit in my laps, till you're ready to go." Zayn said to Fay who looked at him weirdly for a few seconds before glancing at his laps then back to his face.

Abu, who's already used to madness and knows what she can do pulled on Fay's hand till she's on his laps, before saying into her ear.

"Tell me you weren't planning to do anything back then."

"You know me so well, he was saying trash, I got speechless for a moment there." She replied him as quietly as he asked her before.

Anna, a girl that's going to a different school but around for the main time. She feels Fay is acting too big and high as she didn't even make an attempt to know her, In fact, she ignored me totally, which is rare. Anna is never ignored, she's always owns the whole attention everywhere she goes, well except here, she grumbled. She immediately agrees that she doesn't like Fay.

After a few minutes of doing nothing but glaring at everyone and no one in particular, Amara finally showed up.

Fay looked her up and down, a smile tugging her lips as she stood up from the legs she was sitting on.

"Let's go, then. Finally!" Fay said very audibly as she walked around to where Anna was sitting, she stretched and grabbed her bag, hitting Anna's chin with her elbow mistakenly in the process.

"Oh, I didn't mean to..." Fay muttered as she strengthened up then whirled around as she headed for the entrance.

"She's sorry." Amara apologised on Fay's behalf. She have known fay since a few years ago and she knows that Fay never apologized, she might say she feels bad and the rest, but the words 'I'm sorry' is rare from her.

Fay is one piece of work, Amara thought as she followed Abu outside after they bid goodnight to the rest of the guys still sitting around the table. They didn't look like they were going to leave the bar anytime soon.

Fay's POV

Amara, give me the paracetamol in your room, my head is about to burst." Fay called out to Amara who's still dressing.

We got home by almost 2:00am this morning. Abu didn't come with us, he only waited till we were on a bike before he headed his own way.

We knocked a few minutes before our gateman, John opened the door. He didn't looked surprised or anything as we walked into the compound at that hour, he was already used to students returning back from wherever they please anytime.

Most houses have rules, timetables and the rest, that's why we didn't rent a house there, we wanted freedom. The freedom we don't get at home. Who doesn't like freedom anyways?

A cleaner comes in to sweep the whole compound three times a week. Of course we pay her, it's already in our payment for the house.

Finally, after I was already done with my breakfast and packing my bag, Amara walked out briskly from her room, slamming the door shut. She walks towards me and threw the tablets at me as she quickly started packing her hair. My wig was already on my head, I don't like unnecessary stress.

I took two tablets and dropped the sachet on the sofa as I stoop up, grabbing my bag, a bigger one this time. It's a chanelle made bag, the one that's supposed to be worn on the back, I decided to take this one along because of the amount of works I have today. Which makes it easier for the textbooks and handouts to fit into it, along with my notebooks.

"Let's head out." I told Amara as we left our apartment, heading for school. The compound was quiet, most of everyone has gone to school or are still preparing, the rest would just skip school today in whole. Some of the guys in 400l doesn't even go at all, "I have my ways, I can't fail." They would always say. They are always on the laptop everyday, every time. What they are always doing on the system every day of their life is beyond me.

"I was here first, why should he get to submit his before me?" I snapped as I glared at Toben.
