MEGAN'S POV
TWO WEEKS LATER“Get out!” He spat while he pointed at the door angrily."You monster, I regret ever knowing you!!" I yelled as I ran out of the office, tears flowing down my face.I staggered out of the office. He was a damned bastard.I was going to make sure he regrets all that he's done to me. I was never going to forgive him. After a while, I walked out of the company. I didn't have a destination, so I decided to loiter around for some time.I had already stopped crying as I knew I couldn't continue crying right out in the open."But wait, is he impotent?" I muttered under my breath as I walked along the street. There were not many people around as it was almost nighttime."Yes, he must be impotent for him not to be moved by my advances." I continued to mutter not caring about anything else.If it was not that he was impotent, there was no way he would be able to reject my advances.I didn't have any other reason not to think he was impotent. An upright man would have already fallen for my charm."Hump!!" I snorted in disgust as I thought this. If not for the fact that he was exceptionally good-looking and had all I wanted.I Megan wouldn't have thrown herself at him so many times. If only my father was willing to listen to me."Sighs!!!"I sighed as I quickly pushed the thought of my father away from my mind when he crossed my mind.He was one of the people I hated the most. Ever since I was young, he had never let me do something of my choice.I had to follow all that he said and I was not allowed to refuse. If only he understood me better. then I wouldn't have been here.I signed and forcefully pushed the thoughts of my father away from my mind.I turned around to look at the building I had just walked out from.It was one of the most magnificent buildings in the area.It was where I worked to sustain myself. Even though my position in the company was rather high, I could care less about it.What I wanted was to make the CEO of the company mine. Ever since the day I met him, I had sworn to take him for myself. But the CEO was an impotent man as he had been rejecting my advances. No matter how much I tried, I wasn't able to break the layer of his ice-cold expression.Over time, he began to make me work. Anytime I tried to complain he would ask if I was going to quit the job.Well then I also wasn't a woman to be trifled with and thus I began to approach him even more boldly. But even at that, he wasn't moved in the slightest bit which shocked me a lot.I couldn't believe a man was able to reject me. I was confident in my charms, but the CEO was the first person to ever make me doubt myself.Today, I tried to seduce him as usual and was met with his ice-faced expression. But then I could care less about it and went ahead to do what I wanted only for me to hear him say I wasn't attractive in any way and that I was no better than those prostitutes.Hearing his words, I burst into tears and ran out of the office. He was a heartless beast.Since that was the case, I hoped he would be cursed and that he wouldn't be able to find love in his life. After a while, I sighed and turned around. If not because of my father, all these wouldn't have happened. If he had just listened to me, then I wouldn't have met the ice-faced CEO who compared me to a prostitute just because I was trying to get his attention. All this was his fault. He was to be blamed for my predicament. If only he wasn't going to force me to do what I didn't want I would have gone back happily."Calm down Megan." I muttered to myself, "It's all in the past."After a while, my raging emotions were as calm as the sea. It was already nighttime.Looking up at the sky, I could see the full moon. It was so big and bright that I felt as if it was going to be a good thing to be able to hug it.Well, it was all in my imagination, the moon was surely beautiful and I couldn't help but remember some of the fairy tales I heard. The fairy tale had said there was a goddess who was as pure and beautiful as the moon.Even though I couldn't remember the content of the tale, just this was enough.Right at that moment, if I had any wish, then it was too big for the moon as it looked so beautiful.I was so enchanted by its beauty that I couldn't stop staring at it for a long while. When I finally came to my senses, I turned around. It was time to go back home.It wasn't as if the CEO was going to take me back anyway. Thinking about this, I couldn't help but glance at the building. The light on the top floor was on meaning he was still in the company which made me wonder what the hell he was doing. He couldn't be trying to get some paperwork done or some other things as I was sure he was a novice when it came to all those things.Otherwise, he wouldn't have made me do it using a feeble excuse that he was getting back at me."Young lady, you seem to love the moon so much. How about I take you up to it." A voice sounded in my ears making me turn sharply."No thank you," I replied curtly, not bothering to be polite, and tried to walk off. Before I could move even a step, a strong arm drew me back."Paww!!!"I raised my hands and slapped the man holding onto me. How dare he touch me."It seems like you're quite vicious, I'll like to see this attitude of yours later." The man smiled and suddenly his friendly aura changed, scaring the hell out of me.Suddenly, I could see two canine teeth sticking out of his mouth."What...What are....are you?" I shuttered as I managed to ask."That's not for you to know." He smiled as he stared into my eyes, "it's time for you to sleep."Immediately, his eye color changed and I couldn't resist it anymore and fell asleep.--I didn't know how long I had slept, but a piercing pain in my neck made me open my eyes.I couldn't help but scream when I saw a figure biting my neck. The pain was even more intense as I and I could feel a large amount of blood being drained from my body. What the hell was happening? Why was this man biting me? Also, it seems like he was sucking my blood.I couldn't shout as I knew I had to endure the pain no matter what. But then the pain was unbearable and I could feel myself going lightheaded."I think you have enough blood." A cold but rather familiar voice said calmly making the man who was biting my next stop and raise his head.Even though I couldn't see the figure well as everything was blurry, there was no way I wasn’t going to recognize his voice. But what the hell was he doing here? How did he find me? Also, why didn't he look afraid when he saw the man sucking my blood?Barrages of questions came into my head to which I wanted an answer. But then I was sure no one was going to answer my questions."And who are you?" The man frowned as he looked at my boss who had come to save me.Even though, I had mixed feelings in my heart as I didn't know whether to forgive him or not.Right at the moment the hatred I had for him was quite stronger than the side that wanted me to forgive him."I'm not someone you'll wish to know, just leave her and get the hell out of here." He said with a smile pointing at me.At that moment, I had the urge to shout that I didn't need his help, but then I had no choice but to hold back."She's mine, so there's no way I'm going to leave her!!" The man yelled as he looked at my boss nervously."Who said anything about her not being yours!!" He smiled, "just leave and then leave, I'll be able to guarantee that you'll be able to leave with your life at least...""If not...."I watched in a daze as he threatened the man."Get the hell out of my sight!!!" He yelled and I could feel my head buzzing due to the loss of blood. The next thing I knew was that I was succumbing to the darkness calling on me.Even though I tried to resist, it was stronger than me and so in the next moment I was gone.Leo POVAs Leo retreated into the darkness, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of sadness for the path he had chosen. Despite our victory and the revelation of the truth, there was still a lingering shadow of conflict that cast a pall over our newfound peace. In the days that followed, our pack worked tirelessly to rebuild and strengthen our bonds. Megan, now officially recognized as our Luna, played a pivotal role in uniting our members and healing the wounds of the past.We reached out to neighboring packs, seeking alliances and cooperation to ensure lasting peace in our territory. It was a slow and delicate process, but the shared goal of a harmonious coexistence drove our efforts. As for Leo, he remained a formidable adversary, lurking in the shadows with a burning desire for revenge. We knew that the threat he posed could not be underestimated, and we remained vigilant, ready to defend our pack at any moment. One evening, as Megan and I were seated in our private quarters, discussi
Khalid POV I returned to our pack’s territory with Megan by my side, and the moment our dude of the pack members caught sight of us, a wave of jubilation swept through the crowd. They cheered, clapped, and howled in delight, their faces filled with relief and joy. As we approached, my men and warriors surrounded us, offering their congratulations and embraces. Megan was welcomed with open arms, and it was clear that her return had brought a renewed sense of hope to our pack. Amid the celebrations, I noticed some of my closest allies looking anxious. It was clear that they had something important to share with me. I pulled them aside, Megan by my side, and asked, “What has happened while I was away? Why do you all seem so concerned?” One of my trusted warriors, Marcus, stepped forward. “Khalid,” he began, his voice grave, “while you were searching for Megan, Aaron has made a significant move. He has revealed that he has a son named Leo, and Leo is helping him plan for the upcoming b
Khalid POV The land of the dead had taken Megan from me, and the ache of her absence felt like a wound that would never heal. The spirits of the elders, whose guidance had sustained me, now seemed distant and insubstantial in the face of this profound loss. But as I stood there, a spark of determination flickered within me. The forest may have claimed Megan for now, but I could not let it have the final say. I had come too far, faced too much, to simply accept defeat. With a heavy heart, I made a silent vow to continue the journey, to find a way to bring Megan back from the land of the dead. The love and memories we shared would be my guiding light, the force that propelled me forward through the darkness. The forest’s eerie whispers and haunting spirits would not deter me. I would face whatever trials lay ahead, for Megan’s sake and for the legacy of our love. The path ahead was uncertain, but I would walk it with unwavering determination, fueled by the promise of a future where w
Aaron POV I took a deep breath, my anger still simmering beneath the surface, but now tempered by a growing sense of understanding. The spirit’s words had struck a chord within me, a reminder that my journey was not solely about seeking answers but also about confronting the tumultuous emotions that had shaped my path. With a nod of acceptance, I turned and retraced my steps, making my way back to the barrier that had initially thwarted my progress. The prismatic walls of the chamber seemed to watch over me, a silent witness to the inner turmoil I had faced. As I stood before the shimmering barrier once more, I closed my eyes and focused on the roiling anger within me. It was a storm of emotions, a tempest that threatened to consume my reason. Yet, with each breath, I sought to gain control, to understand the source of my rage. Images and memories flickered in my mind, moments of pain, betrayal, and frustration. I allowed myself to fully experience these emotions, acknowledging the
Leo POV My mother, Bridget, began to speak, her voice carrying a weight of ancient wisdom. “Long ago, in a time when our kindred packs, the Moon Pack and the Sun Pack, coexisted in harmony, there was a love that defied the boundaries of our divided world. That love was between me, Bridget, and Aaron, your father.” As my mother spoke, the ethereal surroundings seemed to shift and transform, displaying scenes from the past. I watched in awe as the story unfolded before my eyes. My love with Aaron was pure and unbreakable,” my mother continued. “But our love faced a dire challenge when my father, Alpha Cyrus, your grandfather, made a grave mistake. He believed that an alliance with a powerful dark force would grant our pack strength and dominance over the Sun Pack.” The scenes showed Alpha Cyrus making pacts with shadowy ominous figure for his gain of power and dominance, his actions leading to the outbreak of war between the Moon Pack and the Sun Pack. The devastation and suffering c
Zack’s POVI went to back to the mansion and called for Jack, the leader of the warriors. He came in after some minutes.“Greetings, alpha.” He saluted.“At ease, soldier.” I said“Any lead on the search for Kaine and Darren?” I asked.“We have searched the eastern and western perimeter fully but still no sign of either of them.” He said.“We have caught traces of them in two different locations but by the time we arrived ,it seemed they had long departed from there.” He added.I had just returned from Ruby’s place. I had confronted her about the note she left me. She claimed she knew about Annie. But Annie is dead, I thought. What is all this rumor going round that she is alive. If she were alive, I would feel her somehow. But her presence is still same. Dead to me since I was told she died. Could it be possible that she is alive? I was having mixed feelings about it. A part of me will be happy that she is still alive but another part of me is worried about the effect it will have
