Chapter Three

ARIA’S POV

All I ever wanted was the Moon Goddess to bless me with a mate and now she did, she blessed me with a cursed one.

“ What mark are you talking about, how did that beast mark my daughter?” My father’s bitter voice broke my heart, my hands began trembling with fear. It was a lie, I wasn't marked by anybody.

“ I don’t bear his mark father and am not carrying his pup, I promise.” My lips trembled as those words forced themselves out of my mouth. What if it was true? What if I bore his mark and he was my mate?.

“ The seer clearly stated that you have been marked by the Alpha of a cursed pack, shouldn’t you be glad at least the Moon Goddess is doing the cursed creatures now a favour?. Matching them together as mates.” The excitement in her voice was that of a five years old kid. Everyone could tell that she was happy.

“Melissa watch your tongue unless you don’t want that empty head dripping with blood.” My father's words got to her as she slammed her mouth shut.

The whole pack suddenly became quiet but their faces said something entirely. Everyone was afraid- Including my father.

“ You have to get that pup out of you before the news gets to Damien, I can't let that beast claim ownership of my only daughter.” My father furrowed his brow, he looked troubled everyone in the pack too–including me.

“ Your only daughter. Isn’t Sophia your child.’’ My stepmother muttered, Sophia wasn’t my sister nor my stepsister. My father had just agreed to care for her as his own.

“ She is not my daughter, Melissa. She is your daughter. Take her to her room.” My father instructed the gammas in charge of escorting her.

“ I choose to stay here Clement, Aria is our daughter. I am a mother to her since she has none.” My stepmother muttered those words intentionally to hurt my father’s feelings.

A mother to me?

Never. She was far from being a mother, she was a beast.

My father began walking towards me. He yanked my hand and began dragging me towards the packed hospital. What was he doing?Does he want the wrath of Alpha Damien on our pack?.

“ I don’t care what it takes or what is required, I must protect my daughter at all cost.” He muttered furiously.

“ I want her pup out immediately.” My father ordered the doctor as soon as we entered the pack hospital but he declined.

“ She is two weeks and not a week Alpha; this singular action can cost her life.” The doctor explained to my father but he wasn’t buying it, he needed it out.

“ I am your Alpha, am her father and i know what good for my daughter!’’ He exclaimed in rage. The rest of the people gathered around began muttering to themselves.

It was obvious, my father didn’t care about my own life but just how he could save his pack.

“ Enough father, I am keeping this pup until my mate is aware of it.” I screamed at my father, my breath shaky but somehow stable. This was the first time I wanted to do something for myself for the past eighteen years.

“ See how confident that slut has become. Why are you sounding surprised Clement?. We all knew that this very day would come. The fruit doesn't fall far from its tree; they say” Her mischievous smile grew wider.

Just then a gamma rushed in and whispered something in my father’s ear ... .and all I could read was a four letter word written on his face.

FEAR.

“ He has gotten to the border, he is here to claim his pup and his mate.” The seer said, stressing the word “mate”.

“ I guess the Moon Goddess is in full support of this, she will be dead in two-days anyways.” My step mother’s voice couldn’t hide the joy that was evident in them.

“We will tell him that he deceived that there is no pup.” My father’s frightened but calm voice. Who was he going to deceive with that? Someone who perceives his mate and also his pup?.

Just then a loud howl broke into the room, everybody shivered in fear. We were all afraid of him, his wrath.

“ He is not going to hurt you but those that did hurt you and your pup.” The seer quietly assured me as a smile formed in the corner of my lips as I looked towards my stepmother’s direction.

“ Isn’t he coming to kill us because of this….” A huge black claw scratched my stepmother’s mouth and forcefully tossed her to the ground.

The entire pack went still no one dared to make a sound. Not even my father. Not even his gammas.

We all stood frightened as the scenes unfold in our eyes, the huge black wolf morphed into his human form, not naked like normal omegas or even betas but fully clothed.

There he stood Alpha Damien of the Moonlight pack, his presence intimating even my father bowed his head in fear.

Then I felt a hot breath on my neck, then its soft purrs made my body freeze. I stood rooted in one place, my hands shaking trembling in fear. Why was I so affected by his presence so much? Was he really my mate? I will indeed be a Luna for a curse pack for a cursed Alpha.

“WHO. TOUCHED. HER” He asked in a low but extremely dangerous voice. Was this what the seer meant by he was going to hurt those who hurt me?.

He stood with a commanding presence that devoured the air, his deep steel grey eyes were motionless and cold, his breath rough with rage, how can this strictly handsome man be called an ugly creature or was it his wolf?

“I ASKED A QUESTION.”

“ No one did, i wasn’ t touched neither was my pup.” I said with a calm voice, I needed to protect my pack, my father’s dignity.

“ I don’t need you lying to me Ria, they hit you, they strip you naked for horny men to feast their eyes on you, they hurt our pup by hitting you, i could feel your pain from miles away, i could hear the faint heartbeat of our pup, i could hear the helpless cry of your silent wolf.” He said his gray eyes were soft on mine. He was here to protect me, to protect Carissa, to protect our pup.

“ You bear my mark Ria, you are my Luna. No one is permitted to hit you, not even your worthless father.” His voice turned cold and dangerous as his eyes met my father’s. My father was indeed worthless wasn’t he?.

“ I told you that I wasn't hit!” I snapped at him, he was my mate and not someone who would insult my father the Alpha right in front of his entire pack.

“ Prepare my bride for the Mating Ceremony.”
