CHAPTER 25— LET'S PLAY CARDS

Kiara walked her way into her room, her eyes observing the emptiness inside. She had nothing in her possession but that bag of clothes he had brought her, the bracelet around her wrist and her pride which he had completely shattered last night.

She thought she had forgotten about it, but she couldn’t. She could remember it vividly even though it was an unfortunate situation.

His eyes had looked down at her so differently and his voice had sounded so sweet when he wasn’t condemning her for being weak.

It had made her heart flutter, made her hold on to him even through the pain. It was probably because of the heat, it definitely was...after all, she hated those dark orbs and the scar under the left one and she hated his voice too.

That face, she could never confess to liking it either, but last night she couldn’t stop staring. She had observed and memorize every single detail.
