18. About the Statement

NADLYN

The full moon had arrived, a full eclipse visible through my bedroom window. I could clearly hear the wolves howling. They were releasing their emotions. Before the eclipse Alpha Mother told me that I must not leave this room. I must lock myself in and not let the wolves come in to mark me. I knew that if I hadn't been marked by my mate, I would have to take care of myself so that the other wolves wouldn't mark me. But I never expected Damian to mark me. He doesn't love me. I let out a long breath, then quickly closed the window Damian had used to enter the room.

Before I closed it, I was surprised to see a shadow pass by. I almost swore.

"I wasn't wrong," I murmured as I rubbed my eyes a few times. "Is that the wolf that hunts here?" I muttered to myself, feeling my hair stand on end, I should close this curtain and go to bed. I don't want to get bitten.

"Wait!"
