Seeing that Arthur was serious and knowing that he was an elf prince, as he had told Nadlyn, it was clear that the man would not lie. Nadlyn knew what kind of beings they were, apart from being intermediaries of the gods, bringing and delivering messages, they were beings who could not lie. Unless they had been sent by the gods to do their job. So Nadlyn had decided on an answer.

"Promise me first," Nadlyn said quietly.

Prince Arthur gave her a genuine smile, then gave a small nod. "Say that I will grant your wish."

Nadlyn took a deep breath, hoping she wouldn't get into trouble. "I will come with you because I am very curious. But you must promise to bring me back here before Lady Rachel finds out that I have left this room. She must be very upset because the door to her room is locked. I don't have any reasonable excuse to give her. That's why I'd rather avoid the trouble."
