AN EASY CHOICE

Sienna kicked, thrashed, punched but the man held her in an iron grasp. Her efforts weakened as her strength waned. In the end, she decided to conserve her energy for later.

Sienna pretended to faint and let her head roll to one side. It was becoming increasingly uncomfortable to stay in the man’s proximity. The strong stench of alcohol threatened to send her down a spiraling hole of dark memories.

She held her breath and imagined the heavenly fragrance of Alaric’s perfume. She imagined that she was with him and soon her anxiety faded enough for her to pay attention to details.
