Play the perfect wife

I’m stuck in a spot unable to move or breathe.

My lips quivering silently and for a moment I wished that all of this would just end.

Ronan still stood there but the moment our eyes met I bent my head down, unable to stare at him for long.

Unlike the men in my pack he was far different than what I had imagined he would be.

A slow silence stretched between us none of us moving or saying a word.

My blood ran cold when his fingers touched my chin as he slowly raised my face up and for the first time I felt shivers run through my spine when our eyes met.

His deep brown hazel eyes mixed with his perfect dark hair stuck out and I gasped again.

His eyes travelled from my eyes down to my body, I could see the sudden look of disdain on his face when he looked at me.

Alpha, I heard someone call and recognized it to be the voice of the man that I had come here with.

Ronan doesn't reply to the man but instead he just walks from behind and stands in front of him.

I could see the panic all over his eyes as he stood before him.

Roman turns and starts walking away leaving me behind as the man follows.

Last night had to be the longest night of my life,my food still untouched and even the breakfast and lunch were there.

I had no spirit to do anything. I didn’t know if the man still wanted me as his mate or if he was going to send me back to my father.

For the first time I paced around the room worriedly the sun was beginning to cast on the pack and I looked at it from the castle window.

I could see people moving around carrying things and little chatters almost like there was a celebration going on.

After about thirty minutes of looking, the door to the room opened and the man that bought me walked in.

His eyes suddenly glanced at the food still untouched on the table and then he sighs.

My chest rose and fell heavily as I looked at him, I knew the next statement would either kill me or break me.

I knew being married to Ronan was worse but yet he was my best bet . My father would kill me if I dared to return.

“The ceremony is starting soon”

What's ceremony? I asked faintly.

“Your wedding, Ronan wants a wedding and wants most of the pack members to be in attendance”

For a moment tears almost poured out from my eyes but I controlled them.

I didn’t have time to think about it but soon some girls walked into the room and started dressing me up, my short hair was styled so perfectly and packed to make a short bun as it was already growing back considering how quickly it grew.

The wife of the man whom I had learned her name was Melissa sat with the rest of the girls dressing me up and she seemed more excited than I was.

By the time they were done I was dressed in the most perfect wedding gown, the makeup fitted my face and the gown hung tightly to my body bringing out my curves.

My reflection in the mirror was the total opposite of what I had seen my whole life, I looked like a fucking goddess.

Melissa stood by the door while I waited for my name to be called.

I hadn’t moved from the window, I kept watching the whole pack.

When I turned again she was standing very close to me. My husband told me he bought you from an auction after your father sold you out to be killed. I know you’re having so many doubts in your mind.

No one knows why he wants a wedding but just know that the majority of the pack will never accept you but with time they would and if anything just know Blake and I would always be here for you.

“Thank you” I whispered as I struggled to hold the sobs as I looked at the woman.

Our talks were interrupted when the door opened and Blake stood there.

“It’s time”

I walked silently behind Blake as we approached the hall. It was already getting dark outside the pack house but yet I could see the lights coming from the pack garden and before we could go in the man stopped me.

I heard all they said about you Isolde but I don’t think you’re cursed and now you’re about to marry Ronan he needs a wife and an heir to carry down his lineage.

Ronan is hot tempered, rude and sassy and yes he cannot speak, his mute but dangerous as well don’t try to get on his nerves play the perfect wife, obey his instructions, and observe his instructions and with time I think you would learn to communicate with him more be obedient Isolde don’t make me think that I chose the wrong girl.

Blake's words sounded more like a warning but yet I said nothing and nodded my head and the curtains came off. I was standing right in front of the most beautiful decorated garden with more than 100 people seated on both sides as Blake led me down the aisle.

As I approached the pack priest, my eyes fall on Roman, his hair was styled even better, his brown eyes shining even brightly and the suit he wore hung tightly to his body but he never looked towards my direction there was this impatient look on his eyes more like he didn’t want it but had to do it anyways.

Blake's words kept ringing in my head and a part of me kept screaming at me to run away from here but yet I stood still as I stood face to face with the man.

The moment I got there the priest handed us the ring and we exchanged it almost immediately.

I tried to look at him hoping that he would look at me but still the man avoided my face so much.

Do you take this man as your lawfully wedding husband?

I do” I silently whispered to the calmness of the whole pack

Do you….. the priest's words get stuck on his throat. Ronan doesn't say anything, he just stares at him like he was considering tearing off his throat. By the laws of the pack I pronounce you man and…….

Before I could tell what was happening Ronan pulled me closer with just one hand and all I felt next was his teeth being sunk into my neck.

A loud piercing scream tore out of my mouth as the pain ravaged my body and I struggled helplessly beneath his body.

Ronan pulled away almost immediately and I fell weakly to the floor in pain but when I looked at him, a helpless feeling filled me he had just marked me but not as his mate, I could feel it, it was as a member of his pack and now I feel attached to him. He was my Alpha.

Ronan turns and walks out of the hall and my eyes suddenly go weak as darkness takes over.
