Today was going to be the best day of life, the day I finally left the pack with my mate.Today was my wedding day but the only difference was that my twin sister was dressed in the beautiful wedding gown I had picked out and now she was getting married to my mate.
The door to the pack kitchen opened almost immediately and Madam Abigail the pack cook was standing by the door. Her face had this displeased look on it and the moment she saw the empty cup on my hands she glared at me and approached. “Madam please” I said tiredly as my voice broke while I held back the tears threatening to pour out of my eyes. The moment she got to where I was, she grabbed my hands and all I felt next was a hard smack on my face. You wolfless bitch she cursed angrily. All you had to do for one day was serve the drinks at the wedding. Your father made it pretty clear that you’re never to take in anything but yet you think you can hide in the kitchen and drink like the petty thief you’re. I held myself from collapsing as the tears blurred my vision and my stomach rumbled loudly. The maid outfit I wore was humiliating enough serving drinks to the guest had ruined me but watching my own mate get married to my sister after rejecting me killed me more. Your father is watching you Isolde, don’t keep the guest waiting. I said nothing but my heart burned the most. I hated how miserable I felt and how painful it had to be. Madam Abigail walked out of the kitchen and once again I’m forced to carry out the drinks to serve the guest. I could hear the whispers from the pack members as I walked back and pain I served each of them without looking at any of their faces. “Isolde” the deep voice of my fathers cuts across the loud music as I raise my head to look at him. “Alpha” I replied calmly hiding behind the pain as I bent curtly and now I can feel almost all the pack members watching me “Celia wants some drinks” he says rather coldly. I said nothing and nodded. The music continued while I approached my sister who looked all happy and beside her was the bastard, the monster who had ruined me. Jace. Celia was dressed in the most expensive and most beautiful wedding gown ever produced by the pack seamstress and Jace was dressed in a well tailored suit, his blonde hair was perfectly styled to the back. Approaching these two people it felt like my heart was being ripped apart. First my own sister was getting married to my mate and my mate the lying bastard got her pregnant while he kept lying to me the whole time about how much he loved me. I found out Jace was my mate when I was 17 and it was the best thing to ever happen to me so I thought. I had known him my whole life. He's my fathers beta son and even though he never spoke more than two words to me since we were little I was stupid enough to think that the mate bond was enough. He didn’t mind the fact that I had no wolf, he didn't care, he loved me fiercely but still made me keep our relationship a secret. I could still remember his words just two days ago the way he kept thrusting in and out of me but suddenly stopped and rejected me but when my father found out? He told him he had already rejected me and yet I couldn’t take it and kept throwing myself at him. That was just two days ago and I can still remember the hard slap my father gave me after calling me an embarrassment. Celia kept her gaze on me, the look of disgust fixed all over her face as I approached them. “This is the drink you asked for” She doesn't reply but instead she moves a bit closer to Jace who was now rubbing her back while holding her arms. “You didn’t congratulate us sister” her sharp edge voice filled my ears. I forced myself to say nothing as I stared at the bitch I hated her so much. “Look at you Isolde, what wolf would ever want to be your mate. You are so worthless to think that you’re worthy of being Jace mate. Not only are you weak you’re wolfless and cursed. I said nothing but swallowed the pain and agony as I forced out a heavy smile and looked at her. For the first time since his betrayal I looked over to Jace hoping he’d say something and stop this torment but when he looked at me the man I knew was gone and the only thing I could see was his total disgust for me. “Isolde” Celia's voice breaks me out of my thoughts as I hand her the glass of drink. I faked a smile hiding my pains as I looked at them again. “Congratulations sister, I hope you have all the good things you’ve ever wished me” Celia's face twisted in anger and for the first time I felt satisfaction within me. Without waiting for her reply I turned to walk away. I hadn’t walked away when I heard the commotion going on behind me. I turned and the scene in front of me made me freeze as the horrors unfolded. Celia was being held tightly by Jace who looked so scared the glass cup of wine I gave her was down on the floor just beside her as she clutched tightly to her stomach groaning in pain. My father rushed over to her the panic in his eyes as he grabbed her but suddenly he turned his face at me, “you have poisoned your sister” he says as his voice echos through the pack hallsTears welled up in my eyes, and I started backing away, unable to believe that this was happening to me. Something in me told me that he was going to rip the cords from my throat and leave me lying dead.“Ron... please, please stop,” my voice broke as I rushed to the other side of the library. His gaze followed me, and in an instant, before I could even move, he was standing right in front of me, looking like a demon-possessed monster. When I looked back at the full moon, it was beginning to complete. I could tell he was losing control, and the rattling notes of the chains made me helpless, but my head was screaming for me to run away. I knew I was going to die if I didn’t leave this place now.*Run, Isolde. Run for your life before I lose control.*His voice sounded in my head again, but before I could even sprint for the door, I was grabbed and slammed across the tanks, and it was only then I realized the chains on his right hand had broken off.A loud scream tore out of my mouth as
---The look on Lydia's face when I walked away would stay in my head all day until I couldn’t get it out anymore. It’s been three whole days since that confrontation between us happened, and even though I knew she was surprised, she didn’t believe that I could defend myself in such a manner.I shut the doors to my room and stayed indoors until I was exhausted.I knew that the full Blood Moon was coming soon, and I hadn’t been out much since then.I was the only person who wasn’t going out.Thane had come to see me, and he told me that I should stay in the moment I noticed that the full moon was here since I was wolfless and totally prone to attack.I nodded and smiled at him as his words rang in my head over and over again. The thought of not being able to go out was killing me. I was beginning to find solace in the times that I sneaked out.The jeers, the screams, and the party from outside the pack, right inside the woods, were loud enough to make me feel out of place. The children
A mute Alpha is not fit to be king. How long do you think he can hold the kingdom without an heir to take back his throne? His brother is in good shape and can take over if need be.The words of the elders stuck in my head as I walked through the pack alone.I didn’t try to think much of it, but I noticed that when I got out of the pack house, almost everyone stayed clear of me, and no one bothered to talk to me or even acknowledge my presence.I’m used to treatment like that, and I don’t care, but I hate that a part of me hurts this much even though I don’t want it to.Ava told me that the Blood Moon was coming soon, and seeing the festivities going on, I knew that the pack members had more in store for it.I had no idea what they would do or the things that came with it. I couldn’t relate to any of this. I was wolfless, and I didn’t know what the Moon Night came with.I didn’t move far from the pack, and I tried my best to take my thoughts off Roman and the stupid whore he had all o
Chapter 20I couldn’t sleep the whole night. Ava was already asleep from the sound of the waterfall that flowed behind us, but yet I stayed awake all night.Ava told me that the woods outside the pack house were safe and that most times they stayed out there, and that was the only reason why I had agreed to do that with her. But with this fire in my heart, I knew I was going to be a mess soon. The thought of Lydia filled my head, and Ronan being attached to another woman was killing me, even though I hated the way he treated me.The fireplace that we had set was suddenly going out, and the cold from the woods was hitting us when I finally felt movement behind us.I grabbed the knife that I had hidden in my shoes as I stood up immediately, and when I turned to look at who it was, I saw a tired Blake standing there, and sudden relief washed over his face as he saw me.I slowly lowered the knife as I looked at him.Blake seemed a bit tense, but suddenly he moved towards me, straightening
*******Isolde*********I woke up the next day with shivers and the heaviest hangover that I had ever felt. It was more like I had spent the whole night doing things that I shouldn’t have been doing. When my eyes opened clearly, the first thing I noticed was the girl sitting just beside my head, the familiar figure that I had grown so used to.She had worn the same maid outfit that she had been putting on for years as she stood there. The look on her face was the one thing that almost scared me, but I didn’t move. The moment she noticed my movement, she rushed towards the bed and grabbed my arms in the most comforting way.Her eyes were filled with tears.“You have been out for two days.”“I have?”Ava nodded and then smiled again before she pulled herself closer to me.The scenes of that night came back like a nightmare that I didn’t even want to think about. The thought that he would do something like that to me killed me more than anything in this life.I watched her move back, pick
******Ronan******“Please stop… please…”Her weak voice rang in my ears over and over again, but my wolf was more enraged than I was.I tried to calm myself, but yet I couldn’t do it, and watching the life suddenly slip out of her eyes, I knew that I was going to be in a whole lot of mess. The door to my chambers was suddenly blown open, and a shocked-looking Blake came sprawling through my door.I turned to him with that anger in my eyes, but when he grabbed me and pulled me back to consciousness, I noticed that the girl in my arms had passed out.“Fuck, Ronan, she’s dying!”Blake’s worried voice suddenly filled the air as he bent to pick up the weak girl who lay there on the floor in her nightgown.Blake took her back to the room while I stood there unable to believe what I had just done. For the first time, when Blake looked at me, the disappointment was obvious on his face. I could tell that he was so fucking mad at me and had so much to say, but yet he didn’t bring himself to say
Ronan pov.The last few days felt like I was losing my mind.My rage wasn’t enough to send Blake crashing, the b*st*rd and whoever told him that I needed a wife. In his defense the council of elders were going to shift it to my brother if I didn't get married and bore an heir and so he decid
I’m stuck in a spot unable to move or breathe. My lips quivering silently and for a moment I wished that all of this would just end. Ronan still stood there but the moment our eyes met I bent my head down, unable to stare at him for long. Unlike the men in my pack he was far different than wha
My buyer stood just by the hall in the early hours of the next day. It was almost daybreak and I could see his face it was a lot clearer than last night. After being sold to the man he didn’t take me away immediately like the rest of the men did with the girls but instead he just asked the man t
“I didn’t do it papa, I didn’t poison her”I cried loudly when the pack guards gripped my arms tightly and pulled me away. The wedding had ended in a disaster and the best part of it was that my father didn’t hit me or lock me in the dungeons like he always did but instead he told them go lock me i
