Tristan clenched his fist and then he closed his eyes. He had sensed something strange earlier but had overlooked it because he didn't want to appear weird in front of Lydia anymore.
"She is beautiful. Very beautiful. If you are here, where is the real Tristan Stone and how come you are suddenly loved? What's happened, Tristan? I am very curious to know what happened in the werewolf world, very...very," he said his words precisely, one word after the other riling Tristan more than he already was.
"Why don't you go back to the werewolf world and find out for yourself," Tristan said through his teeth.
Lancelot chuckled. "I wish I could but then again I can't. Can you go back though?"
The skin between Tristan's brows creased as he wondered why Lancelot would ask him that question.
"What do you mean by, 'can I go back?" Tristan aske
"I told you that I would kill you, didn't I Tristan?" Jade laughed out hoarsely. Tristan gulped down the lump that formed in his throat painfully as he stared at Jade who had claws and fangs. She also had blood dripping from her claws and at the side of the mouth. Beads of sweats formed on Tristan's forehead and his heart beat in trepidation. "I will ruin you. You won't succeed in your mission because that is what I am here to do. To make sure you fail." She took steps towards him and he walked back to avoid her from getting closer. "Don't...don't..." He tried to speak but couldn't as he suddenly lost his voice. He couldn't help himself no more. He screamed but he would only hear it in his head but his voice was gone. Jade laughed out loud. "This is it for you Tristan. You will die in this world
Tristan cautiously walked towards Lydia. It's been over two week since they started dating and made things official between them. The past two weeks for the both of them have been very nice but since yesterday Lydia has been acting weirdly and it disturbed him. She became distant after they had gone a little further in their relationship. She wouldn't talk to him and when she did, she never said more than two words. He didn't intend to secretly follow her but he just couldn't help it as she kept speaking in a hush tone on the phone making him curious. He could tell Lydia was speaking to someone but he didn't know who she was speaking to and he wanted to know. One part of him told him to go back and not be seen by Lydia so as not to create any misunderstanding between them but he didn't listen and kept walking further. Lydia heard and s
Tristan had informed his servants to not disturb him until he came out and they did as told. He entered his room and closed his door. He took a deep breath and exhaled deeply before speaking. "I know you said not to call for you until I had successfully completed my mission but you know that's not possible right? You are literally the only one that I can talk to considering my life right now and I need you to speak to me," he expatiates. "What is it that you want, Tristan, son of Mateo?" Tristan's face lit up when he heard the voice of the moon goddess. He wasn't expecting her to answer him that fast. "Moon goddess. Thanks for answering me," he appreciated her for her response. "You are always thanking me Tristan but fail to abide by what I tell you to do. What is it? Why have you called me this time around?" The Moon goddess asked. "Jade Morris.
Tristan woke up to the ray of the sun reflecting on his face. He groaned when he opened his eyes to see the sun and used his hands to shade the sun from his eyes. He felt his head ache as he struggled to get up and then he looked around to find out that he was in a forest and he was lying on the ground. "The fuck?" He cursed as he looked around again, wanting to believe he was hallucinating he saw the forest and he knew he wasn't. "What happened?" He asked himself as the last thing he recalled was falling down on his knees and succumbing to the darkness. Fear gripped him. Did I fail my mission?" He asked himself as he got up from the ground. He pinched himself to see if it was a dream and he felt pain. "Did I fail my mission?" His heart dropped when he thought of that. He couldn't recall what happened after then
"I never expected that you would be able to break out of the illusion." Tristan heard the voice of the moon goddess. He looked around to see that he was in a dark space but hearing the Moon goddess voice made him feel at ease. "What happened, Moon goddess? How did I get there and why am I here now?" He asked, perplexed. " A lot happened to you while you were asleep but rest assured. You only slept for two hours. There is still plenty of time for you," the Moon goddess told him. "What do you mean? The last thing I remember was collapsing in my office. So why did I wake in that place and why am I here now? Why did I suddenly feel pain in my chest?" He asked inquisitively. " Like I said, a lot happened. Tristan Stone was attacked in your body and stabbed. He was on the edge of dying but I had to intervene and switch things up wh
"I repeat, what is she doing here?" Jade demanded in a stern tone while Tristan closed his eyes, trying to calm his nerves. That moment, he wanted everybody gone so he could have some time for himself and also speak to the moon goddess. He had not expected the Moon goddess altering time to cause this much damage. Jade was not only demanding an answer from him, she also called him by an endearment and he has no memory of how it happened. Was he and Jade a thing? He thought to himself. "Simon called me here," Lydia replied calmly. Hearing Lydia's voice, Tristan opened his eyes to see the woman that was supposed to be his girlfriend. He wondered how she was coping and if the memories of them were still intact or if the effect of the Moon goddess altering with time affected her too. "Simon?" Jade turned to look at
"How have you been?" Tristan asked Lydia with a smile on his face. Just holding her hands made him feel warmth in his stomach. "I've been good. I'm glad you are awake now," Lydia told him. Simon cleared his throat. "Aren't you going to go after Tristan?" He asked. Tristan rose his brows up in a questioning. "What would I do?" He asked. The facial expression on Simon's face told Tristan that he was surprised to hear his reply. Tristan had decided to keep Lydia by his side now that he was awake and stay away from Jade so that he would get his mission done. Jade was a problem before the Moon goddess had altered time and now she was one too. She didn't even change one bit and he wasn't surprised. "Wow! You are really not going after her? What if she commits suicide?" Simon questioned.
Simon opened the door and came in to see Tristan and Lydia hugging. The moment they felt his presence. They pulled away from one another. Lydia tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "I sent her home. She said she will call me once she gets home," he told Tristan. "Okay," Tristan replied shortly. Simon cleared his throat. He placed both of his hands in his pants Pocket. "I know you both like each other but Tristan, if you knew you would not be able to love her, why did you choose her?" He questioned. Tristan knowing well he never made that decision and everything happening now was because of the time the moon goddess had altered thought of what to say to Simon that would not blow his cover. "She said she was going to die so I had to stop her from doing so," he replied. "Still. Still Tristan, it was better you never chose he
