'Cursed wolf.' Everywhere went deafening silent the moment someone in the crowd had uttered that statement and Tristan had halted on his track. Tristan clenched his fist with his eyes closed, trying to control the rage he felt. The people worried as they looked amongst themselves, trying to fish out who had muttered that word to avoid being killed for they knew Tristan wrath and he didn't waste time in getting rid of anyone who dared him. Cursed from birth, Tristan had to suffer the hereditary curse passed down to him because of the sins of his father. His father Mateo had killed his cousin brother who was supposed to be the Alpha and took over the Alpha position and in doing so, he angered the moon goddess and so she placed a curse on Mateo and his son who had been born then. Tristan had to endur
Tristan set out to embark on his journey once it was midnight. He called out to the moon goddess while in the middle of the forest to ask for her guidance as she had promised to direct him. "Moon goddess," he called and he got a reply almost immediately. "It's time, Tristan, son of Mateo. Today you shall begin your journey to the human realm to break the curse bestowed upon you because of the sins of your father," the moon goddess said. "You shall walk towards the path your instincts tell you to go and you will know you have arrived at your destination when you see a white light from above. There, the veil between your world and the human world is and you shall have to go through it," She explained to him. "The direction my instincts tell me?" He asked rhetorically. "Does this mean, as long as I walk towards the direction my heart tells me to, I should and should
"Tristan." Tristan need not be told that it was the voice of the moon goddess when he heard his name. He changed position on the bed and was now sitting down hastily. "Moon goddess," he called. He has been wanting to hear from her since he woke up in this place. He had so much to ask as he didn't know why he was in this big room and what to do next. When the moon goddess had told him he'd have to embark on a journey to the human world to find the one who would break his curse, he didn't expect things to turn out this way. The room was luxurious and more different from the room he had back home. Everything about this place was fancy and different. "I know you have a lot of questions to ask and I am here for you to ask them. So go on, ask me," she said. Tristan exhaled deeply. "I know this is the human world but
When Tristan woke up the next day, he already had enough knowledge of Tristan Stone. That night when he fell asleep, he was shown the life of Tristan Stone and the important people in his life so he would be able to live as him till his time was up. "Good morning sir," Arla greeted. "Good morning Arla," Tristan replied, getting off the bed so he could leave the ladies to do their work. He walked into his bathroom to freshen up and by the time he came back out, Arla and Kim were gone. "I said, where is Tristan!" Tristan heard a feminine voice call his name from the living room even though he knew he only heard her because of his super hearing ability. Her voice was loud in his head even though she wasn't closer. He wondered how loud it could be when she came closer. "Tristan!" He heard his name again and her footsteps.
It's been over a week since Tristan arrived at the human world and things have not been as he expected it to be. He didn't expect to find the one who would break his curse easily but adjusting to the lives of the humans has not been the best. Everyday he woke up having it at the back of his mind that he had to go to work and that wasn't the problem but having the handle the company was. The moon goddess had only shown him the life of Tristan Stone but not how to live the life of Tristan Stone. For the first two days, he had difficulty handling the computer and going through the files always at his table every morning. He had to ask the moon goddess for guidance and she had told him she had no idea of how the humans worked. She however told him to watch videos that could help him and in no time he was handling things even though he wasn't fast with it.
Every day Tristan woke up with the hope of finding his mate but it seems fate has other plans for him. No matter how hard he tried and not matter how carefully he looked at every lady who he saw every day, none of them seemed to have glowing eyes. Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months and Adrian wasn't having it. He didn't expect things to be as difficult as they were for him. He was doing fine as Tristan Stone and has now gotten used to being Tristan stone. As much as he loved the way he was treated in the human world and how different it felt compared to his world, he knew he had come here for a mission and time wasn't smiling with him. It felt like a blink of an eye and eight month passed yet Tristan didn't come across any female with the glowing eyes. He thought he might have seen her and not recognized her and so he cried to the moon goddess to come to his aid. "What
After a year in the human world, Tristan did not believe he would finally see the woman with the glowing eyes. He began to look carefully at her from her red hair to her forehead then to her pointed nose, to her high proud cheek bone and then to her lips. The moment his eyes landed on her lips, she parted them and he cursed mentally. He took his eyes off her lips and looked back at her eyes and it glowed again. It was just as the Moon goddess had told him. He would feel an instant connection the moment he saw her. "Excuse you?" The lady voice snapped Tristan out of his thoughts with her calm and soothing tones that sent a jolt of electricity down his spine. "Oh I'm sorry," Tristan said.
"Tonight's was beautiful, thanks to you," Tristan said to Lydia and she smiled at him in return. "You made my night lively and different. I actually came here to ease myself because of the stress I'm currently facing. Meeting you wasn't the plan but I'm glad I did tonight," Lydia said. "I'm honoured. I also cake to relieve myself from stress and overthinking and I'm glad I was able to do that and the credit goes to you Lydia," Tristan tells her. She heaved a deep sigh. "I guess I have to go now," she said getting up from her stool but in the process, she lost her balance but Tristan caught her just before she fell. His hands were firmly on her waist and they sent a jolt of electricity down her spine. Their eyes met and her lips parted slightly. She placed her hands on his shoulder to balance herself and until she was standing properly
