38. Decision

Jade stared at Tristan with a frantic expression masked on her face.

"What do you mean by that?" She asked.

Tristan took a deep breath. He had always said he was going to do what he felt was right after all his fate was in his hands. He didn't want to keep acting nice to Jade anymore, not after what she did to him before everything changed.

"It's as it implies. You say Lydia is suspicious but the true suspicious person here is you. You can't accuse someone you do not know when you are the real suspicious one," he told her. 

Jade's eyes fluttered and then her brows creased. "I'm surprised by your statement. You think I am suspicious?" She scoffed.

"I have known you for years Tristan and as for you, you haven't known her for half a year and you trust her more than you trust me? Why is that so?" She got up from where she was seated and raked her hair with her fingers.
