Chapter 56
THE room in Daki's house was a mess. Chloe had kicked the chair that was just at the side and tumbled across the room and into the table where the papers were stacked.
"Chloe, calm down. You're in Lord Daki's house," Jucel scolded.
"It's fine. As long as you clean your mess," Daki answered. He and Neptos stood on the either side of the doorway, casually leaning against the wall. "But even so, you have to calm down."
Chloe took a deep shaky breath and exhaled slowly to calm herself. After her fight with Reuna, Chloe decided to call it a day. She went back to Daki's home on her own, with Jucel being forced to dump on her next fight and follow her best friend.
"They're too lax and overly confident because of the false peace of that damned Hwā," Chloe growled as she glared at the window in front of her. "They're supposed to be the soldiers. They're supposed to be strong."
Daki had raised his eyebrows when he heard Chloe curse the Hwā. Then his face softened
