Lennox's mind was a little stunned by Jerika's offer. Was she really offering him a blank cheque?

For a moment, he just stood there, lost in her gaze. Then he lowered his eyes and chuckled.

Jerika was baffled. Why the hell was he chuckling?

"I appreciate the offer, Alpha Jerika, but if it's possible, can my blank cheque be reserved for later?" Lennox inquired and watched discomfort creep into Jerika's brows.

"And why's that?" She asked.

"Well, I just don't know what to ask for now. Perhaps, I could have a better request later on. A blank check can be reserved, right?"

Jerika backed away from her desk and reclined in her seat.

"I can't guarantee if the blank check would still be available, but we might just have to see about that, Mr. Lennox," she answered curtly.

"I understand. Thank you, Alpha." Lennox left afterward.
