Azael and Reuel approached the hidden door in the office and pressed a button. Behind the door was a staircase that led to another part of the club, the part that was hidden from everyone who didn’t have a membership.

The guard by the stairs moved aside as soon as the two men appeared before him.

“How’s everything tonight, Quin? Did something happen after I left?” Reuel questioned while Azael looked around.

While Caleb was in charge of the club and the dance floor, Quin was in charge of the part they were in. He overlooked all that happened there, everything minuscule or huge.

“No, Master Reuel. Everything is as usual.”

“Good.” Reuel nodded.

“How are you, Master Azael?”

“I’m good, Quin.” Azael gave him a wicked smile. “I hope you didn’t wreak havoc in my absence.”

Quin didn’t reply this time as he followed the two men.

“Is Howard here?”

“Yes, Master Reuel. He is. Should I bring him here?”

“Yes. I don’t want to disturb the guests. They shouldn’t find out what we will be doing next.”

“And while you’re at it, escort Boris Green out of the club. His membership is no longer valid.” Azael ordered.

At first, Quin didn’t know what had happened and how Howard had pissed the two men off. Even without them saying anything, he had sensed the killing intent from them. But the moment he heard Master Azael’s instruction, he had a fair inkling as to where this was going.

“Yes, Master Azael.”

While Quin got to work, the twins entered the room beside the elevator. The place was wider than their office and was accessible by only three people, Quin being the third one.

While Reuel didn’t take a chair, Azael sat in front of the multitude of screens that were capturing all that was happening in this part of the club. Every nook and corner of the club was under surveillance and nothing could escape their eyes.

However, a few of the screens were black and Azael didn’t even look at them. After all, they were private dungeons and he was not interested in looking at what was happening there until it was absolutely necessary.

“Seems like Boris is putting up a fight with our men.”

“He won’t stand a chance. He should’ve seen this coming when he tricked his way into becoming a member here.”

Just as Reuel had said, Boris put up a fight. But he could in no way overpower the two men Quin had brought with him to escort him out of the club, more like he was hurled out of the club like trash.

A few minutes later, Quin returned with Howard following him and the man was visibly shaking. His face had lost all its color and why would it not when he’d soon be facing the wrath of the two most dangerous men in the world? He had fucked up big time and all of that for some extra bucks.

“It looks like someone has become bolder in our absence and is breaking the rules outright,” Reuel commented as he fixed his gaze on his prey while Azael continued to monitor the situation outside the room.

“Master Reuel, I...” Howard trembled in fright. Words failed him at such a critical moment and he gulped as he waited for his death sentence.

“What? Cat got your tongue?” Reuel sneered, his eyes cold and emotionless. “What happened to your fear when you issued membership to Boris Green? Didn’t you know he wasn’t someone who’d ever be allowed in this part of the club?”

“I’m so sorry, Master.” Howard kneeled immediately as he begged for mercy. “I became greedy for a moment and...”

“And you broke the rule, not just one but three rules.”

Howard’s eyes widened in horror as Reuel stood up.

“Thre..three?” Howard stammered.

“First, you issued membership to a man like Boris Green.” Reuel started counting. “Two, you hid this matter from everyone, from us. Three, don’t you know people aren’t supposed to use the emergency door to enter this part of the club? Why did you inform Boris about it?”

‘Fuck!’ Quin cursed at Howard’s foolishness. He now understood why his Masters were this pissed. The first two were still acceptable, but not the third. Definitely not the third.

The hidden part of the club was accessible by three doors, with one of the doors being exclusive for the twins as it led to their office. While one door was the main entrance that only the members could use, the other connected to the dance floor and was kept closed most of the time.

The door was meant to be used only during emergencies and had to be kept closed at all times. Nobody but the two men were allowed to use it. But Howard had informed Boris about the door and he had entered from there.

“Why didn’t the guards inform me about it when I came here earlier?”

Howard knew that the question was meant for him and he didn’t have a choice but answer him. Silence was not an option and if he dared to defy him, he’d be silenced forever.

“I tricked the guards and escorted Boris Green myself.”

“So, no one realized that he had used that door.” Azael turned to Howard finally and the man nodded at him.

“I think you know what is expected of you,” Reuel stated and Howard looked at him as he teared up.

“Master, please. I was wrong. Please give me one chance.” Howard crawled towards Reuel but Quin held him back immediately.

“Chance? You do know that’s not something we ever give to anyone. You brought this upon yourself.” Azael shrugged and flicked his wrist, indicating to Quin what was expected of him.

Howard didn’t even have the time to apologize. He was thrown out of the place just like Boris Green.

“Quin, please. Could you please talk to Masters...”

“Howard, be happy that you only lost your job.”

That shut Howard up.

“You can still find work somewhere else, Howard. I’d suggest you leave the city and never return. I don’t think Masters will be this merciful the next time.” Quin advised before he closed the door on Howard.

“There seems to be a public scene. Do you want to attend it?” Azael asked once Quin and Howard were out of sight.

“Another one?” Reuel was surprised. This was the second public scene for the day. Although having multiple public scenes in a day wasn’t unheard of, it wasn’t a common occurrence either.

“Why? Was there another one some time ago?”

Reuel nodded as he rolled his sleeves that had slipped to his arms until they were back to his elbows.

“Do you want to go?” Azael looked at his brother with interest.

“I oddly want to. What about you?”

Azael didn’t reply. His smile said it all and just like that the brothers attended their first public scene after a long break.

It was a sleepless night for quite a lot of people. While the twins’ thoughts were filled with Elise as they planned their next step to get her attention and catch her interest, the lady in question, however, had fixed all her focus on Borin Green. She had been looking for a good moment to capture him and had finally got it.Although she was vexed because it was the Sephyr twins who had helped her reach him, she wasn’t a stupid person to not accept their help. Their intentions could be anything but innocent. But it didn’t erase the fact that they had helped her catch a certain drug lord and for this at least, she was grateful to them.“Are we going to meet Chief now?” Kai questioned as he got inside the car.“Yes. Before we start, take a look at this.” Elise handed a file to Kai who took it with a questioning look.“What’s this?”“That’s about the prey we were trying to catch yesterday,” Elise muttered as she buckled her seatbelt while she waited for Kai to finish reading.“Holy fuckin

Elise's eyes narrowed as she saw the two names at the bottom. Alarm bells went off in her mind and she pinched her thighs to clarify if she was dreaming.'This is not good. How did they find out?' Elise wondered. More than being frightened, she was vexed and she couldn't put a reason behind it. She didn't know why she was exasperated. But she was. The twins were getting on their nerves and she didn't like it.Elise wanted to inform Kai about the email. But she thought against it. The twins were clearly targeting her. Otherwise, she wouldn't have received the email out of nowhere.'But why?' Elise pursed her lips as she read the two names again and again.Elise pushed her against her cheek thoughtfully as she composed a reply.'Although I should be scared that you two know the reason why I was at your club earlier this evening, I'm more miffed because you're crossing your limits here. Please stay within your limits. Otherwise, it'll do you no good.'Elise.Elise sent the email before s

"What do you think, Elise? Do you suspect the Sephyr twins?" Kai glanced at his friend who was staring outside the window as they drove back home. The silence was oddly unsettling, especially after the dreadful incident and the nightmarish meeting with the twins. "I do. I definitely do. The Sephyr twins must be behind Craig's death." "Death?" Kai stepped on the brakes, forcing the car to come to a sudden stop and Elise jolted due to the sudden impact. "Do you have a death wish, Kai? Spare me. I don't want to die yet." She glared at him as she looked behind to see if they had hindered anyone else on the road. Fortunately for them, the road was deserted and they were alone. Otherwise, horns would have brought out their functionality in the dead of the night, scaring all the sleeping creatures away. "My bad, I apologize." Kai started driving again and this time, he was careful and alert. "Do you think Craig is dead?" "I don't think, I'm damn sure about it," Elise stated with convic

"We understand. You may leave now." Reuel remained unfazed by Caleb's words and gestured with his wrist to leave.Although Caleb was surprised by the two men's reactions, he didn't dwell more upon it. They would handle the matter themselves. He did his duty of informing them. Bowing slightly, he left the office and the door closed after him.Reuel darted a glance at Azael who was already staring at him and his brother got the message immediately. In a blink, Azael was by the computer and his fingers flew over the keyboard as he tried to retrieve the video. He specifically targeted the time after they arrived at the club to get the lead.Reuel picked up his drink and stood behind his brother's chair as he stared at the screen curiously. Azael picked up the camera that pointed towards the entrance of the club and just as Reuel entered the club, a lady collided with him."Rewind it from there." Other than Azael and Reuel, the three men jumped to their feet instantly. They were utterly spooked to find blood and immediately, their gaze turned to the twins.Oddly, the brothers were calm as they sat in their chairs. Their face was unfathomable and Elise couldn’t make out what was running in their minds. However, it didn’t matter to her. They may deny as much as they want. But eventually, their crimes would come to light one day. After all, karma was a bitch.“May I know whose blood this is?” Elise wasn’t as perturbed as her teammates. Instead, she continued to watch the twins as if she was not dealing with the two most dangerous men in the world but someone who she’d soon put behind bars.“That, Officer, is my blood.” Azael broke the tension in the air and Elise finally lost her composure.“Your blood?”“Yes. You see I was careless and injured my foot before you guys came.”“You got injured today?” Elise tone clearly depicted that she didn’t believe a word he said.“Yes.” Azael
