The Deceitful Heart of a Billionaire

ETHAN’s POV

 

I am standing behind thousands of demons, observing the war tactics of my new enemy. I dont know anything among them not even the kind of creatures they are. They look just like a normal human being but I sense something different in them. “What it could be?”. They are well skilled in swords and hand fight. The best man of their king is right infront of him, striking his sword into my demon army spilling their black blood on the ground. The demons dont hiss or scream in pain. They are meant for this, meant to stand in the war face to face with their death. One step behind they know that will be their last step in their life. The war zone is chaotic, good enough to make a normal human panic and run for their lives but we, being the divine creature, we dont run. We face every war with high head and broad shoulders.

 

I Dont see my enemies being tired. Yes, they are dying in the hands of my demon soldiers but only when they are attacked on their necks. A strike of sharp sword on their necks, a powerful snap, choking them etcetera  is causing death to them. I have to know more about them. This isn’t the first time other universe have attacked ours. Actually this is first time I dont see fear in my enemies eyes. “I hate it”.

Living my twenty five years of life in hell, am habituated to hear screams of agony, fear. Begging of souls to get freed from the pitch black fire of hell. I see fear in their eyes, the fear which is greater than the fear of death. I feel powerful seeing it, I feel satisfied.

To be honest its not my fault, I was born from the darkness , brought to life by Lucifer himself. There is black blood flowing in my every vein. Thirst for destruction is in my blood. “I was born to be just like him”, just like Lucifer, who is my so called father.

 

I Dont feel satisfied in this war. So I decided to step in. I know the minute I place my leg into the war field, the war will end. People dont call me god of wars, Ares, without a reason.

 

 

I pulled my sword from its scabbard and spread my silky pitch black wings wide and barged in-between of my enemy’s army. Soon they surrounded me, an amused smirk appeared on my face because this is exactly what I wanted, a real fight, a really good fight, a tough competition. I can see a group of men setting their arrows target on me.

 

“I like it”. I stated totally impressed raising my eyebrow.

 

As I started to spin my sword in defence because I wanted to see how long they can try to get me down without being tired. The arrows are left free on me, the speed of my sword spinning around me, a strike in the front to back then returning it all way along, all the arrows thrown on me are destroyed down to my feet. What a waste.

 

I evanesce my wings then started to slash everyone in my sight, this time attacking them. Piercing my sword trough their hearts and a good slash on the neck. I kept on going till I reach their king. As soon as I reached him,  he didn’t get startled showing that he is not afraid of me.

“Aren’t you afraid”, I asked him showing him my fake concern.

 

He scoffed and said “why would I stay here if I was afraid of you”.

 

While tusking I speak “you are sure a man, I see”, saying that I swirl my sword at the man’s right leg but soon turned around and slashed his left leg leaving him off-guard. A yelp of pain escaped his mouth which was scoffing on me few seconds ago. While I kept smirking all the time enjoying the every step of their destruction.

 

“I like to hear screams from my opponents, their pleadings to let them live but trust me I never gave them enough time for echoing their voices in the battle field”. I Want to play with you, you look interesting, I said.

 

I see his jaw tightening in anger then he unclenches is. He kept doing it to control the pain. No matter how hungry I am for his death, yet I dont want to kill him. I want to find out the main moto of these people, who are not from my universe. Who announced a war against my realm.

As we both are standing face to face and moving slowly circling seeing each other’s moves and he was observing what would be my  next move.

 

I Ignite the fire on my sword, which is completely covered with orange fire. Ready to slash and burn my enemy. 

I can see his facial expression got changed. Like he might be not expecting to see this. A smirk plastered on my face in satisfaction by seeing fear in his eyes for the first time.

 

“Like what you see?”, I asked him gaining his attention back on me. He gulped down hardly trying his best to not show his fear but I already saw it in his eyes, more over I call smell fear from him, making me more excited.

 

Smirking at him I asked “do you have any special powers like this?”

He was taken aback and stood stiff.

Hmmm! I hummed not getting any further answer.

“It seems that you are too afraid of fire, so lets play fair!”, I said by evanescing the fire from my sword.

He came forward tightening his grip on the sword stumbling a little because of his wound I gave him with my sword on his thigh. He swung his sword up so that he can give me a cut on my arm but I dodged it away gracefully. He didn’t stop his attempts to try again and again, swinging his sword numerous time attempting to cut or thrust it into me with his sword.

 

As usual I didn’t even get a scratch on my body. His legs started to tremble due to loss of blood. I didn’t want to play more with him now as he is in the weakest state yet not wanting to kill him because first time I saw someone who have guts enough to point his sword towards me.

 

I put my sword in scabbard and punched my fist into the neck of the enemy so that he fell unconscious. Holding one of his ankle  I proliferated my wings picking pace emerged towards sky roaring in victory.

 

My soldiers started hooting and others were mourning thinking their king is dead. Least they know that I was  going to hostage him and play with him to pass my time in pitch black dungeon of hell.
