CHAPTER TWO

The next day was a wonderful day for Laurie. To her greatest surprise, her secretary came into her office and gave her an invitation card. It was the big business event she had registered for. This means that her business was selected. She screamed with gladness in her heart, tears of joy rolled down her cheeks because her cosmetic company will receive a special and global recognition on that day. 

As days drew closer, she prepared for the event and her speech. This business event means a lot to her because it is one of the biggest events that is going to happen in the whole of Hawaii and her business will get that global recognition she has always wanted. She couldn't wait for that day to come because she knows her company will move to the next level after that day but she didn't know all her expectations were wrong.  

The day came, Laurie was beautifully dressed in her red beautiful gown worn on her figure-8 shaped body along with her black heels, her hair straightly stretched and little make-up worn on her face. She was looking so beautiful like one of the successful women she has always wanted to be. 

A lot of people admired and complimented her. They respected her a lot because she was specially invited as the business owner of her company. 

Then the organizer of the event came in who was James Brookes, a lot of people surrounded him, mass media were all over the place and bodyguards. He was one of the great businessmen in the country. Apart from this, he was a handsome young man who had charisma. He was an epitome of wealth and success in the eyes of all the people. 

As he was entering the hall, everyone stood up and welcomed him, Laurie admired him so much that said to herself that; "Wow, this is a handsome and successful young man." This is the kind of man she has always wanted for herself.
