The New Beginning

Sarah's POV

Six long months has passed since the purple moon incident where the Demon King returned on his own with blood in his hands. Nobody spoke, nobody dared ask for the expression on the king's face tells it all. From then on, there was no mention of the priestess.

The sky was fairly blue when I started gathering herbs but now it has turned golden red. It was time for me to head back to the castle or Narth will get worried.

Though the castle never looked alive, it had became a home to me. Narth was kind enough to take me in. Although, my herb gathering isn't a necessity, I've become accustomed to it. It's one way not to get bored in the big manor.

"Have you mistaken the sky as dawn, Sarah?" Narth asked while the maids serves us our dinner. "Did you sell out some herbs again?"

"My apologies, sire. I lost track of the time as I focused on another herb that I believe is in your book."

"One in my book?"

"Yes." I nodded. "I'm yet to show you."
