Chapter 31- Daniel
I was so engrossed in my work that I was startled when my phone went off. Who calls this late in the night? I checked the caller id to find none other than my second in command Liam. He is been away to see his mate. She is from another pack. From what he told me, a very bad pack.
Our pack’s name is Night Walker pack and I am the Alpha of the pack. I formed this pack nearly five years ago. We are a pack of runaways and exiled wolves. Only the royal family knows of this pack’s existence. They insisted on the secrecy as we are the pack of wronged rouges or the other Alphas will probably want us dead.
Most of the people that are here are decent common people. Some were wrongly accused and kicked out or just didn’t like the pack life at first but with time wanted to be in one or rouge borns who wanted to be a part of a pack.
These people who accidently stumbled upon us. One became two and eventually an entire pack of atleast two hundred members.

The following day I woke up early in the morning as we are going to have visitors coming and went to my office at seven in the morning. What is this loud beeping in my ears?Who the hell set the alarm?Please someone just shut that damn thing down. It’s been a month since Evelyn, Lizzy and Adrian came to the Night Walker pack. They were introduced to the pack at the end of the first week there.As the pack didn’t have the Luna, Lizzy had to fulfill the part of the beta female as well as Luna. That kept her busy all day long. Adrian joined the warrior training and has been training pretty hard to fit the brief.Evelyn on the other hand helps in the chores of the house, from cooking to cleaning. Anything she can help with.The doctor had advised her to rest but she didn’t want to free load, so she does whatever work she can. She still gets nightmares frequently but has learned to cope with them a little. The only problem being that she can’t fall back asleep after she has a nightmare.She didn’t tell Adrian or Lizzy about it though, thinking they already have enough going on with their lives.On the other hand the Alpha still gives Eve the cold shoulder.Dan

Damien had smashed the things in the room. Broken lamp, pictures, etc. were lying everywhere.“Yes.” Damien’s said in a hoarse voice.‘He doesn’t have the right to sulk’, Caiden thought.“Alpha Lizzy, Adrian and Evelyn have left the pack last night.” He said in monotone.“Evelyn” Damien said testing her name. He didn’t even knew her full name till now. Then what Caiden said sunk in. “WHAT?” He said “HOW? WHEN? THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE.”‘No she can’t leave him’, he thought.“I just found out. The last month went good and uneventful which I am grateful for. I am gaining weight at a rapid rate though. I had started to have weird cravings and I eat almost all the time I am not doing anything.Today I have my first ultrasound appointment and I am really excited about it. Adrian is going to come with me to the appointment and Lizzy is going to be my doctor. I hope my baby is alright.We just had our breakfast. The appointment is at eleven, which is in two hours. I cleaned the table and Adrian went for his usual training. After half an hour of cleaning I am done with the table.I went outside to water the plants in the garden. The time went by pretty quickly. Days are passing by like a blur. I am about three months along and swelling like a balloon. It wouldn’t be long before I resemble a whale. It’s getting hard to move around though. My feet keeps swelling like someone is filling them with gas.Lizzy has ordered everyone not to let me work due to which I have nothing to do all day than eat, sleep and wonder by the woods, which I do by sneaking around. She doesn’t want me to go in the woods…at all.I still remember the day when I asked Adrian to be the god father. That very night Lizzy had come stomping in my room asking why I haven’t made her their god mother, which Adrian had apparently boosted to her about. “Why would he get mad? It’s not like we are planning on doing something illegal or against pack laws. You need to get out of here. Besides you are growing in size so you will be needing new clothes. We also need a lot of stuff for the babies. On the positive note, we can spend some time together. We haven’t done that since….” A look of pain passed his face. “Fine. I went in the bathroom and took a quick shower and changed into one of Adrian’s sweat shirt that I stole and some lose pants. He is right. My clothes don’t fit me anymore. I laughed at him which he returned with a hard glare and continued to pick the clothes. I found a chair and sat down. I know he will buy everything that’s needed. I don’t need to worry about it. After two hours of watching Adrian throwing everything he liked in the shopping cart, he was done. My butt started to ache from all the sitting but he was still full of energy. He paid and told me to wait while he dropped the bags in the car. He came back in five minutes and dragged me to buy clothes for my enlarged self. Adrian being Adrian grabbed anything he liked including some loose flowy dresses for later. I didn’t complain as all I had to do was to sit down and watch him dance around… not literally.
