"You want to make him jealous?" I whispered against her ear, feeling her whole body press into mine. She was getting warm again...too warm...Actually she was burning and her scent had changed. It became more intense, sweeter, and intoxicating. She was slipping into heat again....because of being close to me. This was not good...not here. I quickly looked round and I knew the wolves present had sniffed her already. She even caught the attention of the elder hosting the party. She looked like he had just sniffed heaven.
She didn’t say anything, she just let out a shaky breath as her fingers curled slightly into my chest, and she couldn't look up at me. But her ex...the idiot...was still staring at us from across the ballroom.
I turned, still holding Seraphina close. “Come on, cutie... I said louder, for him to hear. “Let’s dance.”
We danced slowly to the music, drawing attention. People wondering wich lucky lady was in my arms so affectionately. But I didn’t care. In fact, I wanted them to look. I saw Ayla sitting and staring at us....I knew she was not pleased. She rolled her eyes, stood up and left angrily.
“You’re Lucien Kael,” Damian said behind me, suddenly there again.
I stopped dancing, and slowly turned around. “You figured that out, huh?”
I left the dance floor with Seraphina in my hands as Damian followed. He laughed, but it was hollow and nervous. “You’re...like, the Lucien Kael. the billionaire...the hotels...the tech firm...the clubs.”
“Correct, you saw it yourself when you checked online, didn't you?" I said.
He looked at Seraphina, then back at me. “And you’re her boyfriend?”
“Correct again.”
His smile twitched. “But how?”
“How what?”
“How would she...” He waved at her like she was a used pair of shoes. “...pull someone like you?”
Seraphina flinched beside me, but I moved closer....just enough to make him step back.
“Maybe because she’s not trash,” I said simply. “And maybe because I see what she really is...a beauty and damsel.”
Damian looked ready to explode. His eyes were red now, and his fists were clenched. “You think you’re better than everyone else just because you’re rich?” he asked.
“No,” I said. “I know I’m better than you.”
He couldn't accept it...then he tried to grab her hand with his hand to take her away. "We need to talk, Seraphina."
That was a very big mistake. How could he touch what's mine?
Seraphina gasped, stumbling back, her breathing pattern was getting irregular already. Her skin was flushed, and her legs were trembling. She was overheating again, too fast this time.
“Don’t touch her,” I growled, and before his hand even made it halfway, I grabbed his wrist and slammed him against the wall. The sound echoed, and people turned to look but then they quickly turned back, pretending they saw nothing. I held him there with one hand while the other hand was holding Seraphina, and his face twisted in pain.
“You lay another finger on her,” I said calmly, “and I’ll make sure you never use that hand again.”
He came closer, angrily. “She’s mine...you're just using her...someone like you can never be truly with someone like her."
“Was,” I corrected. “She’s not yours anymore and she never will be.”
Seraphina’s breathing worsened as her hand gripped my arm tightly. I looked down down at her.
She was sweating, trembling and her pupils were blown wide... Her lips parted and she was... sniffing me?
Damian and I blinked for some seconds, confused. Next thing, she pulled at my jacket, clumsily trying to unbutton my shirt.
Oh Shit!
I let go of Damian immediately and scooped her up in my arms. She clung to me with her face buried in my neck, inhaling me like I was oxygen.
Damian shouted something behind me, but I didn’t hear it. I was already moving fast through the ballroom, past the crowd and out the private exit. People were staring and might have thought she was sick and I was rushing her to get help.
Her heat was stronger than before. The scent was addictive and brainwashing. It was pulling me in, badly.
I found a small, locked lounge room upstairs and pushed the door open with my shoulder. It was quiet, the lights were dim, and it seemed private enough. I set her down gently on the couch but she clung to my shirt, whimpering softly. "Lucien..." she whispered, softly.
I looked at her...her cheeks were read, her eyes were seductive and her skin was shining with sweat. I was on a mission to watch her but this was very hard for me.
She pulled me down to her, looking into my eyes with those lustful eyes of her's. I held myself back, but her hands moved to my chest, trembling as they touched my shirt. She started unbuttoning me again, as one hand got into my chest and started caressing my nipples.
My breathing got heavier, but my pride got in the way. This was my chance. “Cutie...if you want me that bad, you'll have to beg me.” I whispered into her ears as I brought her face up using her chin.
She didn't answer me. She was too focused on touching me which was driving me crazy. But I held her hands together. “Tell me what you want, cutie...tell me you want me....”
She looked up at me like I was water and she was dying of thirst. “Please,” she whispered, barely able to talk. "Please, help me.."
"What do you want?"
"I want you...." she whimpered, touching herself now. I growled softly, pulling her close, one hand sliding up her thigh. My control finally slipped. I was ready to make her mine...claim her. Her body curved into mine as my lips brushed her collarbone. I could feel her heart beating like crazy.
But then her phone started ringing. It buzzed, again and again, from her purse on the floor. I tried to ignore it, but then my phone rang too. I stretched my hand to check who it was. I looked at Elder Alpha’s name 'Alpha George' staring at me. I answered impatiently. “How can I help you?”
"That girl with you..is she the human girl who doesn't know she is one of us...the omega?"
"Yes, she...is."
Seraphina was kissing me down my chest, when she moaned and giggled. I flinched at the sound.
“Lucien....are you....? You need to stop,” Elder George said. “Right now.”
“She’s in heat, it's driving me crazy,” I said, my eyes still on her. “She needs relief, I do too.”
“Not from you,” he snapped. “You don’t understand. That girl… she’s not normal. You can’t mark or claim her. Don't touch her.”
“She’s mine,” I growled.
“No. She’s sacred, she needs to be pure. You mate her, you start a war.”
"But what if she isn't pure anymore." I insisted.
"As far as she hasn't mated after her first heat, she is 100% pure. That scent that is driving crazy proves it." He answered with a rough voice. "She is an extremely rare omega from royal bloodline."
"Understood." I said, then hung up without another word. My jaw clenched as I stepped back. She whimpered, reaching for me desperately.
“Cutie, Sorry...I can’t,” I whispered, more to myself than her.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Someone was hitting the door hard.
“Seraphina!” her cop partner's voice yelled out loud. “Are you in there?! Open up!”
I didn’t move...I was devastated.
CRACK. He kicked the door open, then his eyes locked on me...seeing my shirt her face red and looking like she wasn't herself.
Chapter 11 – “The Rogue HouseLucien Kael's POV“We’re close,” I said, my boots hitting the hospital floor hard.Ayla was beside me, sniffing the air like a bloodhound in wolf skin. She was he only warrior with that talent hence why she is among the top five best warriors. Two of my warriors flanked us...Orion and Dax, both alert. When we reached the hospital hallway, her scent hit me like a truck. But it had a mix of fear, sweat, heat and blood.“She was here,” Ayla growled. “Not too long ago.”We stopped outside the emergency treatment room as the door opened slowly. I sighted her detective cop mate Marcus laying unconscious on a bed. He was bandaged and pale, but he was alive.“Sh*t,” I whispered, stepping closer. The machines beeped quietly. A nurse tried to stop us, but I held up a fake badge. Our faces had black face masks over our nose and mouth so people couldn't easily notice our true identities.“Check the cameras,” I ordered Orion. He was already at the wall console. He ha
Seraphina's POV"Seraphina?"I heard a voice before I opened my eyes."Hey... you awake?"My eyes blinked open slowly.Everything was too bright. The ceiling was white. The lights filled the whole room. Then someone came into sight."Marcus...?" I whispered. He leaned close, a big smile on his face. "Oh thank God. You scared me half to death!" He hugged me tight...very tight."Ow...Marcus! I'm still alive, not a teddy bear."He laughed and pulled back, looking like he wanted to cry and smile at the same time. "You had me so worried, Sera. You don't know the kind of things that have crossed my mind today... ""You're a drama queen and worry too much." I blinked, looking round. "Where...am I?""You're at the hospital. I brought you here."I looked around again...then realization hit me. "What happened?"He scratched the back of his neck and sat beside me. "Okay, uhm I didn't want to be the person to tell you and you might not believe me if I said it but... you kind of lost it.""Lost it
POV: Lucien Kael “Get away from her! Did you get her drunk or high on something, just to take advantage of her?” He stormed in and shoved me hard, but I didn’t budge.“You don’t have any idea what's happening...be careful what you say to me...,” I said quietly, holding back a growl.“She’s human!” he shouted. “She’s not one of you...she's not yours....to do as you please!”“She’s not yours either...besides you're extremely lucky as a human...humans who know about us don't live to see the next day.”He didn't look scared. We stared each other down like animals ready to bite. I couldn't kill him cause he was the only who could get her away from me. And she would overreact if she finds out we killed him. "She's fine there is nothing wrong with her...she's just very horny." I added. His eyes went wide open. "What? Seraphina is never like that...you must have done something to her." He quickly reached for her again. "Hey! Sera....Sera."She was restless and coiled up. But then she reach

“So this is our target?” I whispered to Marcus as we stood at the edge of the ballroom, pretending to admire the chandelier.Marcus nodded, sipping from a glass of champagne he hadn’t touched. “Big icon...Old money...Name’s not on anything directly, but controls everything behind the scenes.”I scanned the crowd to find him. I noticed that he was wearing fancy clothes and also wearing smiles with people flocking around to have the privilege to greet him.“He looks like royalty,” I muttered. "Royalty with a lot of skeletons in the cupboard..."Marcus flinched towards my direction. “Don’t say that too loud...someone might actually be one.”"But I'm not lying, I'm just stating facts." I rolled my eyes."Yes true...facts that could get us killed or worse turned into dead bodies that can heal."We both chuckled then after five minutes we split up. Marcus took the east wing; I moved toward the main lounge where more deals were happening than drinks. I scanned the area and my eyes met Damian
“You disappeared for two whole days, Vale. What kind of excuse do you have for that?” Captain Moore’s yelled across the briefing room.I stood stiff, clenching my hands. My mouth was dry, and the taste of suppressant pills still coated my tongue. “I have an explanation,” I said carefully. “But you might not believe it.”The rest of my team looked at me; some curious, some annoyed. Marcus just looked worried.“You know the claw mark murder case...I went undercover to follow a lead to find out who the rogue killer is,” I said. “But it turned out that he was not just a man. He was something else. He was...” I paused. Everyone leaned in anticipation. “He was a werewolf.”“You’re telling me a what killed the man?” my supervisor asked, frowning like I’d just spoken in alien language.“A werewolf,” I repeated. At first everyone was quiet. There was total silence in the room. Then, snorts and laughter came in after.“Seriously?” one officer muttered. “You drunk again, Vale?”My boss leaned
