Look For a Hiding Place

Ardina doesn't know what to do? What is certain is that she looks very sorry for having done such a foolish thing that the grim reaper is seriously injured. And because of her stupid what do, she also couldn't carry out his duties.

"Stupid! You're so stupid Ardina, I should have following him. But this is against him. And if I listen to what he said, maybe everything would be fine," Ardina abuse herself inside. Flapping her head, she felt her brain go completely blank.

"Where are we going?" Ardina asked. And that was the dumbest question she had to ask a creature called the angel of death.

Again, Rail didn't answer. He felt an unpleasant air. His head looked up. Ardina looked up too, she wondered what Rail saw in the sky. Only the black sky that she used to see when it rained and it was already night. But for Rail, this is a sign. A bad sign that is about to happen.

"We have to hurry from here before the devil catches up with us." Said the angel without turning to Ardina for a moment. She sighed irritably at Rail.

"Why do we have to run from him? Why don't we just fight him until he no longer attacks us again?" The grim reaper stopped walking. Then turned around, looked sarcastically at the girl who died at the age of fewer than 17 years. In fact, in three days he will celebrate his sweet seventeen birthday. "This is bad, these eyes .. ouch .. could it be that the angel is angry with me?" He said to himself, guessing.

"Do you know who he is?"

Ardina shook her head.

"And you know the power it has?"

Again, Ardina could only shake her head.

"So don't be pretentious, don't ever give your opinion again to me." He added curtly. His bulging eyes could not leave his face.

"Yes .. that's not it either, I mean we won't be chased like thieves." Ardina's opinion just came out of the lips. Hurriedly she shut her mouth which was getting out of control. Afraid Rail grew angry with him.

"You better shut up and walk to follow me." The grim reaper ordered, Ardina silenced her mouth all the way.

The grim reaper stopped after a few kilos of walking. Gasping for breath. He leaned against the tree, squeezed his chest. From the look on his face, maybe he was in pain. It hurts so much.

Then he saw again the condition of the sky that had turned very dark. This time it was accompanied by terrifying thunder. "This?" He said stopped. Makes him suddenly change his expression from being in pain to a face that is increasingly worried about the state of nature changing so fast.

"We'd better get out from here!" Rail said, his attitude made Ardina wonder. But Rail didn't want to waste any longer.

"Shouldn't we take a break first?" her suggestions went unanswered. She does very much worry about Rail, but she was not afraid of what the Angel of Death was worried about it happen. Now and after Rail caught his breath, the gust of air from his nostrils had blown several times.

"That too if you want," she said both resigned and annoyed. Ardina stared at the sky, her state had changed very quickly, looked very dark and filled with lightning flashes. She hopes the rain will no longer be heavy, but it looks like the rain will continue to fall. And for her, this was just a natural phenomenon that was about to rain down heavily after seeing the sky.

"Are you okay, angel?" Ardina asked, more worried about Rail's condition than what might happen. A surprise from Asmodeus. "We have to rest if we want to survive!" He said walking so fast while feeling the pain that continued to beat the injured wing. Because that's the part that he feels the most pain.

"But your condition is getting worse. Even the blood from your wound keeps coming out! Can you not be in the least bit selfish to heal yourself?"

"Okey, we'll rest at the front. There's a cave for us to hide from the devil."

Ardina carried him up to the cave. His wings gave her a little trouble while supporting Rail. Ardina's weak body leaned against the cave wall. "Wait here, I'll get some water first," Ardina said to Rail who was already unconscious. Leaving Rail after Ardina was covered his body with her jacket wore during her life.

Ardina came out of the cave, she started exploring a different side of the forest. Very dark. There was no lighting, only her eyes became the pedestal for her footsteps in the dark forest without light. Searching the river to get water for the grim reaper. How will Ardina take water from the river later? She will think about it later. She realized that she was a soul that could not hold anything. And it can't be seen by anyone except Asmodeus, Rail, and other beings.

She was neither afraid nor threatened by the existence of Asmodeus, who might suddenly attack her or be behind her. Keep walking until it is a little away from the cave where Rail is located.

Then Asmodeus, the portal opening ritual is over. There came out a large, three-headed creature similar to a dog. The dog looked vicious and fierce. His teeth looked very sharp, ready to tear apart both Ardina and Rail, even though Ardina was an impossible spirit to touch. But that dog could crush Ardina's body very easily.

It seemed that the giant dog was very tame to Asmodeus. The creature was very pleased when Asmodeus' hands started stroking his neck, he even lowered his head asking to be petted as well. "How are you, Orthos?" Asmodeus asked the giant dog which was none other than Orthos.

The dog he found when he first came to hell. The Mormon king pick-up Asmodeus from earth to hell. And Arthos is his first friend in hell. Asmodeus nurtures it secretly.

"Good boy! Now, it's time for us to test our instincts to do the work for me. Orthos!" Asmodeus said he made the giant dog kiss Rail's wing feathers that had fallen on the ground. Orthos kissed it's and he immediately ran towards the path Rail and Ardina was on.

Ardina is still tracing the path where trees and weeds are growing. Not how far away. Her ears began to pick up on the sound of the water gurgling up ahead. There was a sense of dread for a moment, however, as soon as possible she has pushed aside for the sake of the grim reaper. She looked back briefly. Things are still safe from Asmodeus. And she hoped it was indeed the sound of water.

The eyes continued to open, glaring suddenly at the sound of bat wings flapping past them. Pretty tense and scary. In her life, she had never been go to darkness place, and it was because of her phobia of darkness.

The water was flowing fast, she smiled when her eyes found the river water. Her feet rushed to the riverbank. She crouched down, took the water from the river with both hands. Luckily, she was able to take the river water even though she was a soul. Hurriedly she carried the water with both palms, walking slowly. However, not how far she had gone, the water had run out halfway. Ardina grieved, she then returned to the river and fetched water once more. Unfortunately, the water still ran out before she reached the cave. She was running out of patience, repeatedly gone back and forth she didn't get water.

Ardina looked for a container for the information she would take, then she took a drink bottle that had not been used for too long. She filled the bottle with water.

She immediately carried the air, ran fast, and hoped Rail was still conscious and alive. Arriving at the cave, Rail was still in a state of closing his eyes, sweat continued to pour out. Mixed with blood that doesn't come out of the wound. Now and then he winced in pain. The power to heal itself seemed to diminish. He had concentrated his strength so that the wound would heal quickly. Longer than usual. Ardina approached slowly, she annoyed Rail who was healing himself.

"Mr. angel, please drink this water," Ardina said awakening. Her eyes flickered, staring at him faintly. Then those eyes turned to the drinking bottle in Ardina's hand. He started drinking it. Ardina looked at the tired face. The grim reaper looked very thirsty. Unintentionally, her eyes glanced at Rail. Initially feeling normal, suddenly the victim's face looked very handsome in Ardina's eyes.

Degh .. !! Instantly the face blushed. The grim reaper's face is not as bad as its cold nature. Very handsome, his good looks are more than a Hollywood celebrity. "Aaah .., damn, why does it have to be an angel?" Ardina thought at times as she lowered her face.

"Already .. that's enough. I'm not thirsty anymore." The guardian angel said, interrupting Ardina's reverie. Unconsciously the air in the bottle spilled on the crotch of Rail.

"Aaah, sorry .. sorry I accidentally!" Ardina said in a panic, she put down her drink bottle and started cleaning with the jacket that had covered Rail.

However...

"No need!" Hold Rail, he doesn't like body parts being touched by people. "You better rest. We'll have a long walk tomorrow."

Ardina only nodded. Hide a slightly flushed face. Then, he immediately stood up and left Rail back to rest. Ardina started to lay down. She turned her back on the seated Rail and her eyes could not be closed. Stay awake. In his mind still flashed the image of Rail's handsome face.

The grim reaper closed his eyes. There were streaks of tiredness painted on his face. Ardina turned around, stared briefly at Rail who had fallen asleep, for some reason her chest was beating again. The beat was like a drum beating hard.

She sighed, returned to her original sleeping position.

"Mr. Angel, have you slept?" Ardina asked curiously. All this time his mouth was itching to know about the relationship between the grim reaper and the devil. But there is no answer. Ardina turned her head, she snorted. Rail went back to meditating, healing himself. Ardina got up and sat down. Take a deep breath. Stand up then. She walked over to Rail who was meditating. There was a sense of curiosity that he wanted to ask, but he felt that it was impossible to ask a question at this point.

But there was one other thing that made her curious besides the questions she wanted to ask. Ardina looked seriously at Rail's face. She was curious about the real form of angels, according to her mother's story, angels are creatures that have never experienced self-aging. The skin is very smooth, soft, and shiny. It is from her mother's story that she knows what an angel looks like. And now, she is in the presence of the Angel of Death. Paying close attention to the face of the very handsome angel. Without realizing it, Ardina's hand was near Rail's face, but she didn't have time to touch Rail's face.

Rail's hand had stopped what Ardina's hand want that was about to touch his face. "What do you want, Huh?" asked Rail intimidating Ardina. His face was so clear that he was angry with that rebellious spirit. Ardina was shocked that Rail woke up, his face getting even paler.

"N-no, I'm not doing anything!" Ardina stammered, stuttered, and embarrassed. She didn't dare look at Rail. Her head cried out in fear and utter embarrassment.

"Remember, don't you ever touch my face, lost soul!" exclaimed Rail very seriously and sarcastically. Ardina tried to let go of Rail's grip, but it seemed like she was doing it in vain. Because the grim reaper held him very tight and strong. Rail's gaze was very sharp, the sharpness of his gaze made Ardina's heart tremble violently. This was the first time for Ardina to feel such a strong heartbeat right now in her heart.

What happened to Ardina's heart? Does he feel the seeds of love growing in his heart? Then, what happens next? Will Asmodeus find the two of them hiding place.
