FAZER LOGINSliver pov {the devil himself}
Sleeping became impossible after that.
Everytime sliver closed her eyes, she kept seeing the underground hall ways stained with bloods and people crying out for help echoing behind those metal doors. By morning, her whole body felt weak, sunlight passed through the cracked church windows as she turned and stared at her reflection in the small mirror near the fire place.
she could barely recognized her self.
Her dark hair loose around her shoulders, still wet a bit from yesterday down pour. The oversized black sweater swallowed her body completely, exposing the bruises around her wrist, making them standout more.
She looked more like a ghost than a bride who ran away from the church. A knock sounded at the door, making her turn instantly
“come in”
The door opened slowly, showing an old woman holding a tray filled with food. She smiled after noticing Sliver was awake.
“you should eat” she spoke quietly.
Sliver hesitated before moving towards her, she removed the cover and saw the tray was arranged with coffe, toast, fruit and scrambled eggs.
Strangely looking normal for a place like this?
“thank you, ma” Sliver murmured.
The woman stood stiffly but avoided making eye contact with her while still standing , holding the tray.
Like she was nervous or afraid.
Before she could leave after dropping the tray slivers poke again.
“wait”
She froze immediately.
“who’s azuka?” she spoke carefully. “who exactly is he?”
The woman whole body went still. For several seconds, she didn’t say anything. Then slowly, she looked towards the door before turning to sliver.
“you should never ask any question related to the man”
Fear passed through her.
“why?”
The look on her face changed “because questions like that are very dangerous here”. Then she hurriedly ran from the room before sliver could ask her more questions, shutting the door quickly behind her.
Sliver stared at the door in silence, those words didn’t only answer her questions but made her more curious. An hour later, she was finally able to leave the bedroom. The church felt some how light though it was day light and less more hunted but stilling scary unlike yesterday night. Dust flew through the hall shinning as light passed through the window, candles still burning during the day, with the flames dancing on the alter slowly in silence.
But now every thing became clear to me now, things she didn’t noticed yesterday .
Men.
Armed looking men with guns on black.
Some standing near the church entrances wearing black suits and ear pieces, while others moving around quietly through some hidden hallways behind the church walls.
Nobody spoke loudly.
No one with smiles on their faces.
And everyone looking very dangerous.
“she’s the runaway bride?” a low voice suddenly moved from nearby.
Sliver moved slowing, hiding behide one of the stone pillars. she saw two men standing not too far from her speaking with low tones.
“she truly has no ideas whose place she took shelter in”
The other man scoffed softly. “does azuka plan on keeping her here?”
“when has Azuka Lorreto ever done any wild or dangerous thing with a hidden reason?”
her heart skipped a beat.
Lorreto.
The name sounds familiar, then suddenly she remembered.
Many years ago, a lot of news papers always mentioned the Lorreto family.
Old blood money.
Powerful beings.
Very untouchable. Until it all collapsed overnight, murder accusations.
People disappearing.
Being entagled in political scandals.
But one person name always repeated over and over again.
Azuka Lorreto.
The main devil of the underworld.
The man many people feared enough to whisper his name.
her stomach twisted painfully.
So this is him?
The same man who locked her inside his world.
The same man whose also hiding beneath this church. Before Sliver could think further, footstep began echoing near the entrance few meters away from her. the old church door opened, and Azuka walked in.
Talks died instantly.
Everyone inside, positioned well by straightening their back with there face looking ahed, the moment they saw him.
Not by restpect.
Fear.
Azuka walked calmly through the church wearing a dark gray shirt with his sleeves rolled up, past his arms. Dark skulls tattoos round his skins in dark inks, disappearing under his shirt.
He looked tired.
Very dangerous.
But still handsome. Sliver bit her bottom lips for noticing those things about him.
“we noticed some movement near south tunnels” one of the guards who approached him immediately spoke.
Azuka face remained unreadable as he stared at them.
“double security”
“yes boss” he bowed then left.
Boss.
The word echoed in her head. Then Azuka looked up, their eyes met instantly across the church. Sliver chest tightened as she saw him moving towards her slowly, every stepped calculated. The more close he came the more it was hard for her to breath well.
“yoy left your room, again”
she folded her hands under her two breast, ready to defend her self again.
“you left my room unlocked”
Something showed on his face.
Probably amusement, but went quickly.
“were you able to sleep?”
“I couldn’t”
His eyes stayed on the dark circle under her eyes before looking away. For some reason, it really annoyed her.
“you could have given me a heads up or like warned me there were armed men stationed around every corner”.
“and you still stayed”
she was about to talk then stopped , because he was damn right.
she saw everything, bloods on the walls, people screamimg and crying everywhere……..and she still stayed.
Azuka noticed she wasn’t talking back like before.
His eyes watched her closely, before either of them could talk again, shouting erupted outside the church.
Sliver froze with her heart pounding loudly.
A guard ran through the entrance towards them.
“there’s a black SUV coming near the big gates”
Cold air passed through her chest instantly.
Felix.
His here to drag her back home.
Blood on his handsSliver didn’t know what to say. Azuka finger had already left her wrist but she could still feel the warmth of his touch on her skin. She quickly pulled her hands back “am fine”Azuka eyes stayed on her “No you are not”. There was something about the way he said it made her chest tighten. Sliver looked away. Felix had said the same thing to her not because he was worried about her but because he was checking if she could still smile for the guest, whether she could still stand beside him or whether the injuries would show under her wedding dress. But azuka didn’t seem to care about appearance instead he cared about the bruises, now she doesn’t know what to do with that.“I said am fine” she repeated. Azuka jaw tighten.“Fine people don’t hid their injuries” sliver frowned. “why does it matter to you if I frown” she questioned, with fire blazing out of her eyes. For a moment he said nothing, then a sound came from the corridor above them. More like footsteps, Azuka ex
Sliver still couldn’t believe what had happened earlier. She wasn’t expecting Felix men to be this scared of Azuka nor his men. Just a look from Azuka had them running with their tails behind their legs. She let out a tired sigh, she looked exhausted and needed somewhere to rest and think of her life.Sliver raised her left hand to feel her face then she remembered what Azuka said, that she didn’t belong to anyone but herself. The confidence he said it with made her proud, No one has ever said those words to herNot her fatherNot Felix, she had always belonged to someone. Her husband, her fatherTheir future plansTheir expectations but Azuka has reminded her of her freedom which should have been hers all along. She shock her head trying to push those thoughts away. She didn’t understand Azuka and doesn’t trust him either. Yet she felt safer living inside this church than any where she has Evered stayed, and that thought frightened her.The church felt unbelievably quiet since Felix
Chapter 5Azuka noticed Sliver reaction immediate, his jaw tightened.“take her upstairs” one of the guard suggested quickly.“no” Azuka spoke calmly. That single word made everyone go silent instantly. her heart began beating more faster and harder. Azuka looked twards the church entrance, completely calm. Like he already knew what was going to happen next, then he spoke without looking at her.“stay close to me”The word sounded like a command, something strange went down her stomach. Before Sliver could process what he said the church door flew opened violently.Three men entered.Felix men, she recognized them immediately, their eyes landed on her. “there she is”Panic burst through her chest, one of them moved forward then stopped after seeing Azuka standing beside her. the whole atmosphere changed instantly, fear passed the man face so fast it almost died.“Loretto” he breathedAzuka expression never changed for once“she’s coming home with us” another man forced out, shaken.S

Something under the churchThe scream dragged sliver out of her sleep. Her eyes snapped opened instantly. For few minutes, She forgot where she was. Then lightening flashed through the bedroom windows, showing the unfamiliar stone walls around her.The church. Her stomach sank as another scream echoed faintly through the floor under her. a woman. Fear prickled across sliver skin instantly, she sat up slowly in bed listening carefully for the voice.Silence followed.Only rain hitting against the windows, maybe she imagined it or maybe exhaustion was finally making her lose her mind. she rubbed her cheeks tiredly before swinging her legs over the side of her bed. The room was strangely warm inside despite the huge storm outside. she turned and saw that someone had left folded dryed clothes on the chair near the fire place sometime during the night.Black sweater with loose pants. Her soaked wedding dress was gone, that realization hit her more than it should have. Instead, her attentio
Sliver pov {the devil rules}She should have been terrified enough to run away like before, instead sliver wouldn't move. The man near the alter watched her in complete silence, his unreadable expression as rain fell hard on the church scarred windows behind them. Her instinct screamed danger, bloody not because he screamed at her or threatened her but because he looked like someone who would never do so.She suddenly felt pain in her throat. “i-I’m so sorry” she whispered quietly. “ I was just desperately looking for somewhere to hide”His eyes stayed on her face for few seconds long before dropping slowly to the soaked wedding gown clinging to her body.“so you ran from your wedding?” it didn’t feel like a question. Heat burning beneath her skin despite the cold weather.“ yes” she answered. Then silence between them. Heavy , very uncomfortable like he was studying her. then he finally moved making her heart jump instantly. sliver stood still watching him as he walked down the alter
