Chapter 14

"Please," I whisper, curling further into the wall as if that's the best hiding spot.

A whimper is released from my lips, my eyes widening in fright when the shadow hovers over me; skinless face and darkly grinning eyes.

"No!" I try to make a run for it, but I don't make it far as his bony appendages quickly curl around my forearm, jerking me backward.

"Where do you think you are going?" He beams evilly, his fingers wrapped around my neck, "You can't run away from Papa. You know that better than anyone, don't you?"

"P-please s-stop!" I choke on a sob as his hold only got fiercer, "you are h-hurting me."

"Shut up!" He growls, slamming my head against the wall.

"P-please, Papa." I whimper in agony, while his talons dig deeper into the skin of my neck.

"I begged you that day, didn't I?" He releases a dark chuckle, and I gasp in fright when a single drop of sun's rays falls on his eyes. The eyes are like a black hole of never-ending doom; so sinister I fear them more than the owner.
