Chapter 15

Today, my body chemistry says I shouldn't perform any activity whatsoever; you know, things like waking up, going for a jog, eating, going to work...basically anything that requires motion. So I am damn well going to remain under my covers for another hour or two. But Mom has a different idea.

"Adelina!" I groan at the ring of my name across the house, "There's a cute guy out here looking for you."

My brow furrows in confusion and anger.

"Who?" I lazily sit up, blowing strands of stubborn locks from my face.

"Just come out first," she advises and the next thing I hear is her retreating footsteps, "It's a delivery guy named Josie."

Pulling the comforter off my body roughly, almost tripping on the drapes of it that sweep the floor, I zombie-walk toward the couch and snatch up my robe, throwing it over my body.

I ordered a new iPhone case yesterday and I was told I would get it by 6:00 PM but somehow, they didn't show up. Why exactly did they assume it was right to come and disturb me so
