Yara stood in front of the large mirror in her room, staring at her reflection. Her face was pale, her eyes puffy, and her lips chapped. The small cut at the corner of her lip from Damian's bite a few days ago was still painful. She rubbed her lips lightly, remembering the man's cruelty. However, one thing began to occupy her mind: fighting Damian would only make things worse.

"If I keep going like this, he'll only get rougher," Yara muttered softly. Her hands clenched into fists, then she slowly took a deeper look at herself in the mirror. "But how can I control that monster?"

Yara thought hard, remembering every moment where Damian lost control. The man was explosive, but he wasn't completely invincible either. There were moments where Damian's emotions softened a bit. That was when he seemed weak, even if only for a moment. Yara smiled slightly, then gave a small grin.

"If I can't fight him with violence, I'll fight him in other ways," Yara said as she stepped towards the dre

The sound of the ventilator machine buzzed softly in the ICU room. White lights shone on Damian's pale face. Yara sat beside the bed, holding Damian's cold hand."Damian... I'm here," Yara whispered. Tears fell from her eyes, wetting the hand of the man lying unconscious. The door to the ICU room opened slowly. Hugo entered, carrying a cup of coffee."Miss Yara, you need to rest," Hugo said, placing the coffee on the side table."I can't leave her, Hugo. I'm afraid... afraid that she..." Yara's voice choked.Hugo sat down in the chair next to her."Mr. Damian is a strong man. He will survive," he said, trying to calm her down.Yara looked into Damian's face. "I feel guilty. All of this... is because of me.""Don't blame yourself. Mr. Damian chose to protect you," Hugo said firmly.Yara was silent, her mind drifting back in time."At first, Damian approached me out of spite. But now... I don't know what I feel anymore.""Do you know everything, Miss Yara?" asked Hugo. Yara just nodded

Damian got out of the car with quick and steady steps. The night breeze blew through his sweat-soaked black suit. His eyes swept over the rickety building in front of him - old, rusted, almost like a worn-out warehouse that was no longer in use. But inside, Yara... "Set up positions, do not enter until I give the signal," he told his men. "Yes, Mr. Damian," replied one of the gunmen behind him. Damian clenched his fists. His head was still throbbing from lack of sleep, but that didn't deter his anger. He took a deep breath, then kicked the warehouse door hard. "RICARDO!!!" his voice echoed loudly, full of exploding anger. Inside, Ricardo had just grabbed the chin of Yara who was tied to a metal chair. The man's face instantly changed when he saw Damian standing in the doorway. "Ah, the savior has finally arrived," Ricardo chuckled. "You're late, Damian. He almost had me-" Bugh! Damian delivered a hard punch to Ricardo's jaw, sending him crashing into the wall. Without g

A few days later, liquor bottles littered the floor. The room was a mess, full of documents that Damian had thrown around. Cigarette smoke still billowed in the air, signaling how chaotic his mind was at the moment. Damian sat in a chair with his head bowed, his fingers clutching a glass that was almost empty. His eyes were red, his face crumpled. A few days of no sleep and a lot of alcohol made him look like a man on the verge of losing his mind. The door opened. Hugo entered with a serious expression, but upon seeing Damian's state, he could only let out a long sigh. "Sir, you need to stop like this," Hugo said, taking the bottle from Damian's hand. Damian raised his head slowly, staring at Hugo with a sharp gaze. "You think I can relax, huh? Yara's still out there, probably being tortured, probably..." Damian stopped, his jaw hardening. He couldn't imagine the worst-case scenario. Hugo tried to remain calm. "We're still looking, sir. Ricardo is too cunning. He doesn't use

Damian stood by his mother's bedside, his eyes still fixed on her pale face. However, his reverie was broken when his cell phone vibrated in his coat pocket. With a quick movement, he pulled out the phone and looked at the name on the screen. One of the servants at the mansion. "What is it?" Damian's voice was cold, slightly impatient. "Sir, it's an emergency," the servant's voice sounded panicked. "Miss Yara... she's not at the mansion. We've searched the entire area, but-" Damian immediately gripped his cell phone tightly. "What do you mean no one?" "We believed she was still in her room since morning. But when we checked again, it was empty. It looks like she ran away, sir." Damian's breathing became heavy. His jaw hardened. "Asshole. That little girl is really looking for trouble."Without another word, Damian immediately switched off the call. His hands clenched into fists, his temper peaking. "Hugo," his voice was sharp and deadly. Hugo, who was standing in the

Yara only realized something was wrong when her breathing became heavy. Her vision began to blur, her head felt unusually dizzy. She tried to move her legs, but her body relaxed instantly. She raised her hand to her neck, feeling something strange. "You... What are you doing...?" her voice was soft. The man smiled wryly, his eyes flashing triumphantly. "I'm just helping you rest for a bit, Miss Yara." Yara tried to back away, but her body was losing strength. The world around her began to spin. The man was still looking at her with a triumphant gaze. "Damn..." That was the last word that escaped her lips before everything turned dark. ***When Yara came to, her head felt heavy, her eyes hard to open. Slowly, she tried to move her body, but something held her back. Both her hands were tied behind the chair, as well as her legs. She gasped, immediately opening her eyes. The room was dark, lit only by a dim lamp in the corner. The smell of dust and iron filled her nose. Her

Yara was now walking carefully through the city streets. She managed to get out of the mansion without being spotted. Yara still wanted to find information about Felix Lucano. Although the man was like a shadow-not easy to find, as if the man had deliberately eliminated his traces. Yara sat on a park bench after almost two hours of searching for information. Her hands were busy on her phone, typing Felix Lucano's name into a search engine, but nothing came up. All that came up was old information about his company, Lucano Group, with no news of his current whereabouts. "Where should I look for you, Felix," she muttered in frustration. Yara bit her lip, resisting the urge to give up. After all, this was about the past of the man she said was her biological father. Yara closed her eyes for a moment, recalling how her mother had always avoided talking about Felix. If only her mother wasn't sick anymore, maybe Yara could have urged her mother to tell her about Felix Lucano. Someon
