Accept my fate? That was a whole load of crap. I was going to find a way out of this mess by all means. I would never get married against my own will. I shoved the few clothes I could find in my wardrobe into my small suitcase. I didn’t want to take much for easy carriage so I limited my things as much as possible, only taking things I would necessarily need. When I figured I had grabbed everything I needed, I made to move. Now, I knew escaping wouldn’t be easy, because as a mafia Don, my father had planted cameras everywhere for safety. But that wasn’t going to stop me. I knew all the routes of the CCTV’s by heart, and I already figured out the blindspots. My plan was simple and I was sure it would work. I climb out of my room window, and wait till the guards exchange shifts. They do that at exactly 12:00pm, and it was currently 11:55pm, just five minutes. While the guards rotate, I would swiftly move within the camera's blindspot to not be seen. After I have successfully passed those, I would jump off the fence. Perfect plan. I set my plan in motion and began to move. I climbed out through my window, and headed to the guard post. I hid behind a bush that had a blindspot, and when it was exactly 12, and the guards left their posts I moved skillfully. Getting past the guards was a success, now I just need to climb over the fence. I wasn’t much of a climber but to get the hell out of here, I was willing to do anything. I grabbed the cement laid wall, and threw myself up, I turned, and threw my legs over the fence first to be more balanced by the time i would fully land. Immediately I jumped down, I felt a force lift me up into the air. “What the hell?” I tried to wiggle my way. “Where do you think you are going?” Don Alejandro asked, and that was when I realized that I was on his shoulders. Shit! I thought my plan was foolproof? How did he know that I was here? “Let me go!!” I kicked my legs in the air and tried to force my way out. But it wasn’t working. He just stayed silent while he took me to God knows where. “Let me go you nitwit!” I screamed again, as I tried to force my way out. I was definitely not giving up. Not now, not never. Not when I was so close to achieving my plan of running away. Why did he have to appear at that particular time? I could have gotten away. He took me over to a car that was parked in front of my house, and when he got closer, he finally dropped me. “Get in” he instructed, but I shook my head. There was no way I was getting into a stranger’s car. He moved closer, and leaned in my ears “Get in, or I will do what will make you regret why you didn’t listen to me” His voice sent shivers down my spine, and for the first time since this morning, I felt fear. But I wasn’t ready to back down. “What are you going to do?” I crossed my hands. “How about you think about your boyfriend, Danny, before you make stupid decisions? I mean, I'm sure you wouldn’t want to see him in the pool of his own blood?” His voice was fierce and my eyes widened in shock. How did he find out about Danny? Oh no, did he stalk me? “How did you know about him?” I felt a lump stuck in my throat. He smirked “i know a lot about you Lucia” “Now get in” I knew I didn't have a choice anymore, so I did as he said. I didn’t want anyone close to me getting hurt. Especially Danny. I sighed, and got into the car. He turned around and got into the passenger’s seat too. My suitcase was shoved into the boot, and the driver started the drive. I had no knowledge of where we were going, but I wasn’t even excited a tad bit about it. For all I know, he could be taking me away for trafficking. I closed my head, and slumped on the headrest. This wasn’t over. I would make sure i escape the first change i get, and board a fucking plan back home. I wasn’t going to get stuck in a country where I had to get married to a man I barely knew. We got to the airport about forty minutes later, and then we boarded a plane. Don Alejandro sat beside me, but he practically paid me no mind. You stole someone away from her comfortable home and now you want to keep quiet and not say anything? That wasn’t going to happen. I was going to strike up a conversation. Maybe that would be helpful for my escape plan. “So… how did you know I was going to be at the fence?” I asked, not caring if he found my question boring or not. I didn’t care, this could be my one way ticket to escape and I wasn’t going to lose it. He didn’t turn to look at me, but he replied. “You are quite predictable,” he calmly said. Predictable, me? We would come back to this by the time I have successfully escaped from your grasp. I nodded, and pushed further “so where are you taking me to?” I asked. He flipped through the pages of the book he was reading “Italy” Hmmm, Italy. Nice. It’s close to home. I moved further “so…what is your son like?” This time, he turned to look at me, as he shut his book close. I guess he was already frustrated? “You can ask him when we get there” his response was cold. I rolled my eyes “you basically kidnapped me against my will, so you shouldn’t act like I’m disturbing you” I sat properly in my seat, and turned to face the window. I guess I could ask questions again later. Now I just wanted to get a few minutes of shut eye, so I would have more energy to look around when we get down from this plan. I couldn’t waste any minute of my time. I had to get out of here as soon as possible.LUCIAI can’t believe he tried to shoot me!I almost lost my life in a country that I didn't live in, with a man I barely knew.Oh shit. The cold metal touch still sent shivers down my spine anytime I remembered what happened minutes ago. I didn’t expect that, that was going to happen.I just wanted to escape, but instead, a gun was placed directly on my forehead.I felt scared at that moment. A type of fear I had never felt before. It was like he meant it when he said he was going to kill me there and then if I didn't cooperate. My life was now in his hands and there was nothing I could do.We both sat in the passenger’s seat quietly. After I had asked him for my phone and he had said no, I decided to just keep quiet, and try to rethink everything.I knew a gun wasn’t going to stop me.I may have been scared shitless when he placed that gun on my head, but that wasn’t going to stop me from escaping in the later days.I would leave this place even if it takes me weeks to plot a perfe
ALEJANDROThe little one was quite optimistic and fiesty but it’s a shame that I had to crush all her hopes into pieces. She was no match for me. I could see through all her schemes and all her escape plans.I was always one step ahead of her, no matter what.I knew she had plans of trying to escape immediately the plane lands, and I was going to make that impossible for her. I already informed my guards to be alert around her and to not let her out of their sight.Any one who fails or defiles me, would face grim consequences. They do not call me the devil for no reason. My head turned to the peaceful, sleepy Lucia, and I shook my head. How could she sleep so peacefully in this situation? One minute she was all over the place, kicking and cursing at me for taking her away from her weakling of a boyfriend, who has been cheating on her, the next she is sleeping peacefully like she has no care in the world.I smirked. The plane landed shortly after, and I gave her a gentle tap.“Let’s g

LUCIAI met the devil the morning after my twentieth birthday. A buzz from my phone jolted me awake, and I scrambled to search for my phone. When I got a hold of it, I picked the call without checking the caller ID.“Lucia, downstairs, five minutes, now!” The call ended. Those four words made me jump out of my bed immediately. I didn’t even need to check the caller id anymore. From the voice, I knew it was my dad. But what I was worried about was the sharpness and tone of his voice on the call. The call might have been short and sudden, but I could figure that there was something wrong.I hurriedly dressed up in the nearest clothes I could find, and headed downstairs. I left my hair unattended, not even caring about how I looked. All I just wanted to do was get downstairs and find out what was going on.On getting there, I was shocked to find unknown men lined up at the doorway of my father’s study room. My heart sank as my steps grew slower. What was happening? Who were these hefty
