Chapter Fifteen

Dex leaned back in his chair and rubbed his tired eyes. He knew that he would be busy after breaking everyone out of Bernard’s cells but he was beginning to feel like he had bitten off more than he could chew. He could feel the beginnings of a stress headache building up. Dex sighed and pushed back his chair. He stretched out his legs and back and then went to the kitchen. He poured himself a cup of hot coffee and sighed. 

He had so much to do plus needed to see Ronald to finalize the article he was writing about Bernard and Margo’s escape from his prison. Dex groaned when he realized that he would spend at least a few hours on a conversation that shouldn’t last more than thirty minutes at best. He hated dealing with people like Ronald more than anything. 

Dex leaned against the counter lost in thought until the sound of voices alert
