Chapter Sixty-five

Maribell frowned as she held Aoife in her arms. Her little girl nuzzled her neck as she slumbered in her mother’s arms. She needed all of this to end and fast. Her little girl didn’t need all of this hanging over her head. She had done nothing wrong and deserved to live a full life. She had grown over the months and was trying to explore the world around her. Being stuck in this place had to have been hard on her. 

“Are you okay?” Dex asked, coming into the room the three of them shared. 

“Yeah. I’m just worried that all of this will keep her from being able to live her life to the fullest.” Maribell whispered. 

“We’ll end it before that ever happens.” Dex whispered, kissing her forehead before sitting down next to them.
