Selene’s POV

“What?! What do you mean, what’s wrong with my baby?”

I burst into the room, panic clawing at my chest. The healers stood motionless, their heads bowed, refusing to meet my gaze. Their silence suffocated me.

“My Luna… she’s in…”

“Speak up!” I roared, the desperation in my voice echoing off the walls.

“She’s in a coma,” one of them finally mumbled, barely audible. “It’s… severe.”

My world tilted. I staggered, clutching the doorframe for support as my eyes darted to Ella’s still, fragile body on the bed. My baby girl, my heart, lay motionless, her tiny chest barely rising.

“Her treatment was delayed... There was nothing we could do in time.”

Delayed. The word struck like a whip, and I knew exactly who was to blame.

“What’s going on here?” Natasha said in a whisper as she and Alexander walked into the room.

That was it. The dam of my restraint shattered. I lunged at her, grabbing her by the collar before she could feign innocence.

“You are the reason! It’s all because of you! You did this!”

My hands moved on their own, slapping her face with all the fury of a mother’s broken heart.

“Selene!” Alex barked, his grip tightening around my arm as he dragged me away. But I fought against him, my rage unyielding.

“What’s wrong with you!” He yelled at me,

“What’s wrong with me?! I should ask you that question because you are the dumb one here! She’s playing with you, and now our daughter might not survive because of it!” I yelled at him.

His jaw clenched, his Alpha power radiating through the room in a suffocating wave. But I stood firm.

“Yes, I said it! Ella is in a coma because of her! And you’re too foolish to see it!”

“Shut the fuck up, Selene! I didn’t mean to make things this difficult since, after all, you had been with me for some time. But are you sure now you want to be insane with me, just for a bastard?”

I was first confused, but then I saw the disgust in his eyes—the way he looked at me, like I was nothing.

“Stop pretending, Selene,” he sneered. “We both know Ella isn’t mine.”

For a moment, the world stopped spinning.

“What…did you just say?”

“You heard me,” he said, his voice colder than I’d ever heard. “Stop the lies. I know the truth. Ella isn’t my child. She’s Lucian’s.”

“Lucian?” My voice wavered, caught between disbelief and laughter. His dead brother? Was this some kind of sick joke?

Before I could respond, Natasha’s crocodile tears filled the room. “It’s time you faced reality, sister,” she sniffled, her voice trembling with mock sympathy. “Everyone knows Ella isn’t Alex’s. You had your daughter out of wedlock, and that’s long before you married the Alpha. You only claimed it belonged to Alex to secure your place as Luna.”

I turned to Alex, searching his face for a shred of the man I’d once loved and adored. “You can’t possibly believe this,” I whispered. “Alex, you know the truth. Tell her. Tell her this is all a lie!”

In the whole world, Alexander should be the last one to accuse me of adultery! He was the only one who knew what happened between me and his brother; he knew I hadn’t slept with anyone before we married!

But his silence said everything.

“You…” My voice cracked. “You of all people... You knew I had nothing to do with Lucian! How could you—”

“I always knew you were a slut,” he cut me off, his words slicing through me like a blade. “I just needed proof.”

He pulled a paper from his pocket and tossed it at me. My hands trembled as I unfolded it, scanning the text.

A DNA test. A forged one, no doubt. It claimed Ella wasn’t his.

“You’d rather believe this? A piece of paper? Over me? Over the years, we’ve shared?” My voice cracked under the weight of my devastation, “Alex, this is—”

“I don’t need your explanation. Stop playing the victim,” he growled. “Everyone knows about your lust towards my brother while he was still alive. Don’t act like you are innocent.”

“It’s impossible! Alex,” I pleaded, the tears streaming down my face. “Ella’s life is at stake. How can you even think about this nonsense right now? She’s our daughter!”

“She’s your burden to bear, not mine,” he snapped, his tone devoid of any warmth. “And as for this sham of a marriage, I’m done with it.”

His worrisome look was replaced with a smile, as he pulled my sister by her hands, he placed a kiss on her forehead.

“I have found my new mate, and true Luna, who would take care of my pack and bear me an heir.”

“Oh, Alex,” Natasha cooed, her voice dripping with false modesty. She kissed him back, her eyes sparkling with victory.

The room spun as humiliation and rage coursed through me. They were shameless, flaunting their betrayal right in front of me.

“You’re pathetic,” I spat, crumpling the paper in my fist and throwing it at him. “Both of you are shameless and disgusting!”

“How dare you—”

“Six years!” I screamed, shoving him back. “Six years of my life, wasted on you! I gave you everything, and this is how you repay me? With lies and betrayal?!”

He pushed me away from him. “Don’t you dare lay your hands on me again; otherwise, I would have you beheaded,” he spat at me in disgust.

“Go ahead!” I dared, my voice shaking with fury. “What more can you take from me? You’ve already stolen everything!”

He stared at me for a long moment, his gaze filled with disdain. Then, with a smirk that made my blood boil, he uttered the words that shattered my soul.

“Selene Hawkmoon, I reject you as my mate.”

The bond between us snapped, and the pain was excruciating. My wolf whimpered in agony, its voice fading into nothingness.

But I wouldn’t let him see my weakness. I straightened, wiping the tears from my face with trembling hands.

“I, Selene Hawkmoon, accept your rejection.”

The words tasted like ash, but I forced them out, my voice steady.

Alex’s lips twisted into a cruel smile. “For your disrespect, I sentence you to life imprisonment. You’ll rot in the darkest dungeon.”

Selene’s POVJoan, Lucian, and I were in a room. Secluded from all the noise outside.“Tell me what happened?” Joan started.“Casper… he’s not just rich. He’s a wolf.” I started their eyes popped to the horrors of it, a wolf in the human realm is diabolical.“Not just a wolf, but also Emily’s brother, turns out Emily leaves the pack to the human realm to talk with her brother. He knew what the stone was for all along, he knew about me and also my aim to take it, he knew about you, and my powers, all this was told to him by Emily. In good faith, she had no idea her brother, whom she had kept a secret, was a psychopath.”The room went quiet.“What? “ Lucian finally broke the silence.“He waited for me, kidnapped me, and then injected me so in wouldn’t have the courage to leave, or the energy.”“Shit…if you had something in your system, you would have said it first thing, you know you can’t heal yourself.” Lucian stood up from his seat, about to leave, but I stopped him.“There's more. Si

  • The Disabled Luna’s Vengeance    Chapter 238

Selenes POVOh, I have prayed to the goddess that one day this would happen. Looking down at Lucian's red eyes. My dream came through. I lowered my head, kissing him again, then wrapped my arms around his neck.“You are dying,” I said with utter bitterness and pain.“Let me heal you.”“I won’t let you risk your life, or that of my baby.” He knew…I hugged him tighter. “We have to find a solution, Lucian. I just had you back, I can’t, I won’t let you go.” He wasn’t dying on my watch. Never.“I can’t,” He protested, pulling me down, then swooping me off my feet again, he carried me to the truck they came in, placing me in the back seat and telling Joan to drive. The weather was brighter now. I could see Joan's face. She wasn’t exactly the happiest at the moment. When I left, I knew I could trust her with Ella because I knew she would do anything to make sure Lucian is safe and that he achieved all he set out for. She loved him. I didn’t know what else to tell her to console her broken he

  • The Disabled Luna’s Vengeance    Chapter 237

Selene’s POVIt was early in the morning, and the windstorm had taken a long chill. The weather wasn’t so bright, but it was a new day and the perfect time to get on with my life. I bet Casper's presence had been cleansed and his abomination wiped away in the rain.“Are you ready to leave now?” A familiar voice resounded from behind. Rowan the rogue, who had saved me and also given me stale bread overnight, said behind me, sluggishly pulling himself off the bed. I watched him turn off the lamp, slowly burning, making the room a little bit darker than it should be.“My daughter, she must be so angry with me. I have to go back now. Thanks for last night, I would not have done it without you.” I bowed a little, normally, I would have given him something as a token of my appreciation. He was obviously a rogue like me. No pack and no partner, it's rare to see people who act alone, and still choose to be kind to strangers.“I have to leave. I hope to see you some other time, and maybe we wil

  • The Disabled Luna’s Vengeance    Chapter 236

Selene's POV “Don’t thank me yet,” he replied lightly, though there was a seriousness in his eyes that told me he’d seen more than I cared to admit. “Rest now, and when you’re ready, we can talk. But first, you need to recover.” I looked away, remembering the sharp, bitter taste of the wind and the haunting sound of those rogues’ voices. “I’m a rogue,” I repeated, as if to convince myself that I could still be the fierce, independent warrior I’d always been. “I don’t usually need help.” He paused, his hands still working over my wounds. “Maybe not,” he said softly. “But even rogues have scars that run deeper than the skin. Let me help you patch those up tonight.” I wanted to protest, to cling to the pride that had kept me isolated for so long, but the truth was undeniable. I was tired—physically and emotionally battered. And deep down, I knew that letting someone in wouldn’t make me weak; it would simply make me human. With a sigh that seemed to come from the depths of my soul, I n

  • The Disabled Luna’s Vengeance    Chapter 235

Selene’s POV I lashed out with my free arm, slamming my elbow into my attacker’s ribs, and he grunted, loosening his grip on my wrist for just a heartbeat. The chaotic sounds of the forest—the relentless storm, snapping branches, and the harsh murmurs of the rogues—filled my ears. I scrambled backwards, my heart pounding hard enough that I could almost hear it. I knew I had to run. I couldn’t stay here and be caught by these desperate fools. I bolted through the underbrush, adrenaline pounding in my veins, each step fueled by fear and fury. My breath came in ragged gasps as I dashed blindly through the forest, blood seeping from fresh cuts and old bruises alike. I didn’t dare look back, though I could hear the snarls and angry shouts trailing me in the distance. The wind still whipped at me, unrelenting, and for a moment I thought it would sweep me off my feet entirely. I fought it, clinging to the wet ground as if my life depended on it—because it did. I could almost taste the meta

  • The Disabled Luna’s Vengeance    Chapter 234

Lucians POVIt came to me like a blow, and for what seemed like forever, I remained stuck to a spot, just thinking about everything that was said.Seleene… Human realm, Impossible. She would die. My child would die, I would not be able to keep my promise to Ella, I would lose the love of my life, I would die, I would fuckin die.“Lucian….”“Lucian. I swear to the goddess, we had everything under control. She wasn’t supposed to take this long, we planned everything, and I trained her. I think something happened. I was going to look for her, I would go to the human realm, I was going to find her.” Joan said, equally panicking.Standing from where I sat.“You said. You said you wouldn’t be angry, now you are pissed and I .”“You kept it away from me, what do you expect? Do you know that Ella needs her mother?” I was holding it in, mostly because Joan had just witnessed a near-death event, and fighting and struggling to let her see that I can’t be sane when my mate is out there would not b
