The Disguised Son In-Law Only Quest

He walked out of the bathroom with a towel tied around his waist, his broad chest and biceps dripping of water.

His muscles danced around his back as he walked towards his closet. He grabbed another towel and started drying his hair as he moved to get dressed. He was no other than Dan castello, the only heir to the castello family. Today he was going to end her, the woman that almost ruined his life years ago.

He fell in love with her when they met in the public bus. That day his car broke down on the road which made him decide to take a public bus. When the bus arrived, it was already filled up, not used to the life of standing in the public bus with others, Dan found it so uncomfortable and obviously showed it when people tried to make body contact with him. This got the people in the bus talking and cursing at him nonstop, it increased when he refused to allow a little boy to hold onto his legs to aid his balance.

The passengers got more enraged and we're now ready to throw him off the bus. A pretty lady stood up and walked up to him. She offered him her seat which he accepted immediately and rushed to sit on it, making the lady chuckle while the passengers jeered at him. When the bus stopped, they exchanged contacts after he thanked her profusely for coming to his aid, and in less than a month they were already in love and started dating, little did he know that she was a gold digger who was only after his money and properties.

Her name was Isabel Jacobs, and her mother Catherine Jacobs was the mastermind behind everything that happened. She forced her daughter Isabel into it with the lies that the rich don't settle for less and she was less with no family name.

So they planned together to strip him of his money and he, oblivious of their intentions towards him, fell for it because he loved Isabel with everything that he had and went as far as proposing to her after two years of their ryearsionship against his family's wish.

On that unfortunate day, he got a call from the office that his attention was needed. He rushed towards the office not knowing that it was one of the strategies of Isabel and her mother to end his life. They paid a truck driver to run into his car on his way home, his car caught fire after the accident with him still inside of it, his face and body got burnt but not so much.

With the timely intervention of passersby, he was rushed to the hospital and the relentless effort of the doctors saved him but he didn't wake up immediately. It took him months to wake up from coma and after that he underwent a plastic surgery to correct his face and heal the scars fast which made the doctors provide a temporary face mask whthatooked real for him to be putting on until his face recovers.

After he got discharged, he found out it was all the plan of his fiance and her mom, they had already made away with all his money and properties and had relocated out of the states. A year later he got the news that she was getting married to an unknown man.

So today, which was the wedding day, he had decided to pay them a visit.

He got dressed in a black suit and mask and went down stairs, he got into his black tinted car and immediately a call came in.

"Good day Boss, the wedding is about to begin," James, his right hand man right-hand

"I'm on my way, keep a close eye on everything going on there," Dan replied.

"Okay," James replied and the line went dead.

Dan started the car and drove to the main road, there was lots of traffic due to an accident that happened a while ago, this pissed him off and he sighed with impatience. After waiting for some time without the traffic reducing, Dan cornered his car to another route which no one was allowed to follow. The road safety commission around the area asked him to stop but he refused, instead he added speed to his car and started racing down the road, the road safety commission went after him but never caught him, after an hour, he got to the church.

*SAINT LUKE'S PARISH*

Dan drove into the parish and parked his car among the others, he made sure he parked it in a way that he could easily drive out.

He stepped out of the car majestically and walked to the church, he pushed the doors open and went in.

Friends and family were already sitting happily as they waited for the arrival of the bride, the church was beautifully decorated and the people in it added more beauty to it. Dan made his way to the seats and sat down waiting too.

*FIVE MINUTES LATER*

The doors came open and Isabel matched out in the company of her mother. They walked down the aisle and she was handed over to her groom. The priest immediately began the rites.

"We are gathered here today to witness the holy matrimony of…" he went on until the big question came.

"Is there anyone here today who thinks these two are not meant to be joining in holy matrimony? Speak now or forever hold your peace," after a few seconds with no one speaking up, he continued.

"I am against their marriage," came Dan's voice which left the congregation gasping.

"Show yourself," said the priest and Dan walked out of the congregation with a mask covering his face.

"Who are you and what is your reason?" the priest asked.

"I'm Daniel Costello, the bride in question here was my fiance. I was almost killed a year ago after they tried to tamper with my life, so they could make away with my properties." Dan explained which made the entire congregation start murmuring amongst themselves.

"If I'm not mistaken, Isabel, we were supposed to be married this time last year," Dan added in rage. Isabel immediately felt as if she was trapped in a coffin with no air.

"Dan!" she called in a shaky voice.

"What do you want from me?" she asked with fear.

"Oh I want nothing from you and your wench of a mother apart from death, you both deserve to die for what you did to me, "Dan said with a finality.

"We did nothing to you, Dan," came Mrs Catherine's voice.

"Oh really!" Dan said with a chuckle.

"That's enough! Guards throw this man out of this place, we cannot allow such a person in a holy place," Mrs Cathrine said. Immediately, five guards came in and marched towards Dan to drag him out but he shot them down before they could any come closer. At the sound of gunshots the entire church was thrown into jeopardy. Everyone ran Helter Skelter for their lives. The worshippers didn't hesitate to run out with the priest.

Isabel tried to run away with her husband but Dan shot her twice on her chest and shot her husband on the stomach. He shot at her mother but the bullet flew past her shoulder, missing the target, she ran out of the church into the parking lot to hide. Dan walked towards Isabel who was now lying on the floor struggling to breathe, a smile of victory curved up on his lips and she stared at him with tears streaming down her eyes. He shot her again on the forehead and she became cold and lifeless. He turned towards her groom and tried to shoot him but the sirens of the cops stopped him.

He ran out of the church into his car and zoomed off, the Cops chased after him on sighting his racing car, they kept asking him to slow down but he refused, they started shooting at his car to stop him when Mrs Jacobs, Isabel's mother identified him as the culprit over the phone.

Unfortunately, at this point, Dan was already running out of gas, he sighed with frustration and hit on the stirring. The cops were already getting closer, the remaining gas could only sustain him for the next five minutes, he looked afar and saw tons of police cars coming in the opposite direction.

With no choice left, he started thinking on how to escape from being arrested, luckily he remembered that there was a big river around and cornered his car to the lonely path leading to the big River, when he got closer to it, he stopped his car and started running towards it. The cops also stopped and started shooting at him, as the last gunshot came, Dan jumped into the river
