A luxurious dark-colored car parked in front of the property, the bank representative, very sure that it could be a potential customer, with more than enough money, adjusted his tie to receive the newcomer.

A tall, elegant, attractive young man, dressed in a designer suit, got out of the car, and showing an expression full of concern hurriedly walked towards the guy on the bench.

"Good morning, excuse me..." I'm looking for Isabella Sinclair. He announced, extending his hand.

The guy on the bench stretched out his hand to give the stranger a squeeze, showing an expression full of confusion.

"Who is this man? Didn't she and that the girl was alone? Well, as far as I know, it was only the mother and daughter... And after the death of the mother, the girl had no one else to turn to," pondered the man from the bank.

"Could it be...? Is it possible that the Sinclair family was really involved with this riffraff and now they would come to extend help to them?" he ended up assuming, so he immediately changed his expression to a pleasant smile, not just any day could one of the members of that prestigious family be in front of him.

"Nice to meet you, young man, I'm Robert Lowell, a representative of the bank.

"Diego Ortiz". The young man blurted out and immediately, Lowell changed his expression to a grimace of disappointment.

"Well, well, Mr. Ortiz... I am very sorry to have to inform you that young Isabella Sinclair no longer lives here. He tried to sound condescending.

"What?! But... What happened? I learned of the death of Mrs. Patricia de Sinclair and traveled as quickly as possible; how come she no longer lives here? " Rebuked Diego, alarmed.

"Oh, yes... The lady died a couple of weeks ago from a terrible illness, a very unfortunate death, especially considering the number of debts she left to her daughter, so the bank had no choice but to retain the house as part of payment... " Lowell explained very calmly, while young Diego opened his eyes wide, surprised.

"What?! Isabella..." Diego took a step forward. "Isabella, where is she?!" He said desperately.

The man on the bench took a step back, somewhat afraid of the boy's reaction.

"I don't know, I don't know where she's living, the girl was here about an hour ago, she came to pick up the mail, but from there, I don't know more". Lowell made a gesture with his hands, as if he were washing them, and turned around.

Diego was stunned and stunned; how could he have been so late? He had made a promise to Isabella several years ago and was unable to keep it, he had left her alone and unprotected.

Suddenly, the voice of a woman makes him come out of his daze, confused, Diego looks around and sees a lady, leaning against the fence of the neighboring house.

"Hey, boy! I heard you're looking for Isabella..." The lady caught his attention, he approached quickly, hopefully.

"Yes, yes, thank you... Do you know where it is?" He asked quickly.

"I know it's none of my business, but I'll give you some advice..." I recommend that you don't look for her anymore..." The woman replied with a contemptuous expression.

"What?"

"When the bank took her out of her house, I offered the girl to stay with me, I felt very sorry for her, because I thought she was a good girl who always took care of her mother... But I had to throw her out..." The woman explained with a wrinkled brow.

"How?" Diego looked at her in horror.

"I gave her shelter and food, I thought she was helping me with the housework, but I discovered that the very ungrateful one was trying to seduce my spouse... That girl turned out to be a dead fly, that's why I chased her away... And I think he went to a homeless shelter. The lady murmured under her breath to Diego, who felt a prick of pain and indignation.

He stood up and stepped back, unable to believe what he was hearing, while the woman nodded as an affirmation of what she had just said.

Diego looked up at the woman's property and noticed, how a middle-aged man, potbellied and somewhat bald, was cautiously peeking out from one of the windows of the house.

"I recommend you, madam, that I kept a very close eye on your spouse...

"What?" The woman looked at him confused.

"Why am I sure you live with a pervert and a would-be rapist!" He growled angrily at the top of his voice.

"What?!How dare he?! How can he say something like that?! " The woman began to scream, indignant, while Diego turned around ignoring her completely.

He turned again to the bank representative, Robert Lowell, who was still stationed on the front porch of the house.

"Sir, do the paperwork right away, I'll buy the property!" He said with determination.

"Of course! Of course, Mr. Ortiz! Mr. Lowell stammered in surprise.

The man quickly entered the house, to begin the preparations, he did not doubt for a second that this young man had the financial capacity to buy that house immediately, with that car and that expensive suit, he said it all.

Diego rushed in behind Lowell and just as he passed the door, his cell phone started ringing.

"Hello?" He answered, returning to the porch.

"Are you done with your personal business yet?" Asked a male voice that he recognized immediately.

"No, in fact, everything got complicated, I didn't find her and now I don't know where she might be..." I have to find it. Diego growled, squeezing the device in his hand tightly, full of frustration.

"I need you back to take care of everything, your flight is already scheduled for today and..."

"I know, but she”" Listen, I need more time, she may be in danger, she's alone and they left her on the street..." Diego tried to explain, when he was interrupted.

"That's not my problem..." He heard a growl on the other end of the line, followed by a long sigh. “Diego, I accepted that you make that trip only because you are one of my best managers, but I want you back right now, today I am going on a trip, and I need you to take care of everything abroad... If you are so worried about the girl, hire a private investigator to find her.

"Of course..." Diego inhaled deeply. "That's what I'll do, don't worry, I'll take my flight today."

"Good. " He hung up.

The young man stood for a second, static, listening only to the beep of the line.

"Mr. Ortiz?" Diego heard a voice calling him behind him, it was the bank representative, who had a bunch of papers in his hands. "Will you do the shopping?"

"Yes, yes, of course" He reacted with a start, entering the house quickly.

Diego had made a long trip with the sole purpose of finding Isabella Sinclair and it wasn't that he wanted that house, he only bought it because he thought that perhaps Isabella would like to have it back, since it was her parents' house.

This whole situation was shocking to him and unfortunately, he had found out about everything very late, Diego did not stop thinking, imagining, what calamities the love of his life would be going through.

***

Isabella stood paralyzed, with the small purse in one hand and the envelope, with the letter and the cruise pass in the other, while those pair of men looked her up and down with evil shining in their eyes.

"I'm so sorry Isabella, it was you or it was me. Jade blurted out, with a downcast expression.

Isabella looked at her friend, the only person who had reached out to her in recent days, had betrayed her, however, she could notice how the girl, had some bruises, surely the men had forced her.

Jade turned and left, leaving Isabella with those horrible men.

The young woman took a step back, terrified, and immediately, one of the subjects entered the small room, licking his lips, which caused Isabella disgust.

"Don't worry, little princess... If you do your part, it won't hurt so much..." He growled maliciously.

"Oh, no, I like them to fight, so they turn me on more." The other blurted out from further back.

She clenched her fists, holding on tightly to the things she was carrying in her hands, that suitcase and the envelope would be of no use to her to defend herself, her eyes filled with tears when she realized that she had no escape.

The man held her by the neck tightly and pushed her, making her hit the back wall, his face approached hers, with her mouth open and her tongue sticking out, causing the girl to gag.

"Do I disgust you, dog?" He growled angrily, sticking his face to hers even more, which caused the girl to gag more, as she felt his fetid breath.

Full of anger, the subject raised his hand, with all the intention of hitting her, when out of fright, instinctively, Isabella kicked with all her strength right in the man's crotch, who let go of it in pain and fell to his knees.

Isabella barely had time to take a breath when she noticed the other man walking at a determined pace toward her, his fists clenched.

Quickly, she threw herself on Jade's cot, reaching under a spouted pillow, and by the time the guy pounced on her, Isabella found what she was looking for, a small electric stun that Jade kept, which she stretched towards the man, releasing a shock that made him tremble.

The second man fell shuddering on the ground, Isabella looked at them for a moment, still not believing what had just happened, how did she get rid of those men? How could he...?

He saw how one of them tried to get up and panicked, he quickly took the small suitcase and the envelope with the papers, to run away.

In the hallway, she saw Jade crying, but Isabella did not stop, there was so much fear, that her body, her legs, only asked her to run and get away from that horrible place, to which she mentally begged never to have to return, ever.

Several minutes passed in which the young woman was running through the streets shedding tears, not looking to the sides, pushing people in the street, when the sound of a screech of tires, stopping abruptly, stopped her.

In the tears, she could only make out a dark car that was coming at her and seemed to want to brake, there was no time to jump or resume the race, Isabella just squeezed her eyes tightly.

Aiden asked from the other end of the line."He's not here, he went out with grandma to the beauty salon, they're getting ready for the ceremony..." Máximo answered the phone."What a pity, I wanted to congratulate you, it's a shame that we can't be at Isabella's graduation, we really wanted to attend, but with so much work, it's been impossible for us..."Okay, she understands..." muttered Maximus."Even so, I must say that... I admire you, brother. I don't know how you managed all this alone..." Aiden said. Maximus smiled to himself. - Hey, tell her that I called her and that we send her congratulations and greetings from here..."Yes, I will," said Maximus when the shouts of a little boy interrupted the conversation."Is that Albert?" Don't tell me, they left you as a babysitter again..." Aiden blurted out in a mocking tone.- I'm not the babysitter, I'm the dad... and I do what I came to do, take care of my son, an

Máximo clenched his jaw, a clear sign of how tense he was."Collins, you're making me nervous... Don't tell me something else happened, because..." Aiden blurted out, leaning back in his seat anxiously.- No, nothing bad has happened... It's just that..." Maximo exhaled heavily, clearly uncomfortable. "I called them to ask them for a favor...""A favor?" Emily raised an eyebrow, in disbelief.“Yes, a very big favor...- Speak now, man... So much extension to ask for a favor? Aiden asked, somewhat amused.- Well... As you know, Isabella will give birth in the next few days, in fact, we are just waiting for the moment to come and, well, I thought that after a few months, when the recovery process passes and we adapt, I... I'd like to... Taking her back abroad...- What?! Aiden and Emily looked at each other, confused.- Listen... It i

Maximo growled, wielding the weapon at Ricardo."I... Lord... Hey... Collins..." Richard stammered, raising his hands slowly, as surprised as he was frightened.- You hurt my spouse, you disobeyed me, and you are going to pay dearly ... - Maximo said without cleaving looking at him frowning."Mr. Collins..." groaned Ricardo, swallowing thickly, trembling, closing his eyes when he noticed Maximo's determination."Max..." Isabella muttered, approaching her spouse, while speaking to him in a tone full of sweetness."They tried to hurt you..." Maximo growled at Isabella, without turning to look at her, because he knew that she would give in as soon as he met her eyes."But they didn't, look at me, honey..." Isabella insisted, getting closer."This is just something dirty, Max... I'm fine, I'm safe... Safe and sound. Isabella was already a

"Those wretched Sinclair’s, they're going to pay me."Máximo murmured thinking about what he had heard and seen on the video call, with that recording it would be more than enough to sink Héctor Sinclair for the death of Isabella's father. As for Ricardo Sinclair, Máximo did not see him appear on the scene, but for Máximo, it was certain that this man would also be implicated.Immediately, Máximo dialed the emergency number, remembering that Isaac said that there was a smell of burning wood.
