Máximo was furious, not only because of the inconceivable orders his father had given him, but also because he had sent him on an absurd journey with a family that had always been his greatest competition, the Sinclair’s.

But things would not stay that way, if the great Maximilian, his father, thought that he could threaten him as if he were a child, he was very wrong, because soon, Maximus would free himself from his authority.

What would leave him without an inheritance? What would banish him from the family? That would no longer matter to Máximo, because he had a plan, he had already made his own investments abroad, no one knew it, but the boy was already making his own small fortune.

In a short time, about five years, perhaps, when his investments bore real fruit, which he would, Maximus would rise up against his father and tell him his four truths, however, in the meantime, he had no choice but to follow the orders of the highest authority of the Collins family, his father, although that filled him with courage.

Máximo was young, at just twenty-five years old he had shown himself to be an eminence in business, so he had more than enough time to hope that his plan would go well, and the boy was completely sure that everything would go as he had planned.

"That's not my problem..." Máximo growled into the phone.

He vented his rage against one of the managers of his foreign companies, who, moreover, had become his best friend in a very short time.

An instant later, realizing that he was paying his frustration with whom he shouldn't, Máximo emitted a long sigh, trying to take on a diplomatic tone.

"Diego, I agreed to let you make that trip just because you're one of my best managers, but I want you back right now, I'm going on a trip today and I need you to take care of everything abroad..." If you are so worried about the girl, hire a private investigator to find her. “Máximo ordered.

"Of course..." Diego replied on the other end of the line. "That's what I'll do, don't worry, I'll take my flight today."

"Good.

Máximo hung up, throwing the phone on the seat with boredom, at least he had left that arranged, because he trusted Diego, who had shown himself to be a more than capable man.

After a second of silence, the countless words of her sister, Emily, resumed, who was only waiting for her brother to finish with his important call.

"Can you believe it, Max? What a thrill! I can't get enough of it... I never thought there was a chance that I would inherit the head of the family, I was always resigned to what you would be..." She murmured excitedly.

"Of course, I'll still be happy if you're the chosen one and you inherit, but just thinking that I have the possibility... It seems that dad has changed and no longer has those stupid man prejudices... "

She was still chattering, when in a matter of seconds, Máximo saw a figure that appeared out of nowhere, crossing itself in the middle of the road.

The tires of the car emitted a loud squeal, Máximo held on to the back of the driver's seat and before he could do anything, he saw how his sister stamped her face on the passenger back.

A slight blow was felt, Maximo's pulse immediately accelerated, what had happened? What had he done?

In the midst of her daze, she heard her sister complaining of a pain in her nose, but when detailing it, she noticed that she only had something red in it, nothing to worry about, however, what had happened to the person who had crossed her path?

"Sir, miss, are you all, right?" The driver turned to them.

"Yes, what happened?" Máximo asked, confused.

"A girl..." She got in the way... Wait here.

The driver got out of his seat, through the window you could see some people watching what happened, voices could be heard outside, it seemed that the driver was talking to someone, then, ignoring his sister's complaints, Máximo got out of the car.

After the terrible scare she had gone through in the shelter, Isabella had done nothing but run, her heart was racing, her eyes full of tears and although she was exhausted, the adrenaline rush did not allow her to stop, until she heard the sound of a screeching tire and she stopped.

She only had time to close her eyes and squeeze the suitcase and the envelope she was carrying in her hands when she felt the blow.

It was painful, obviously.

She let out an instant groan when she felt the impact, but a second later, when she opened her eyes, with her pulse racing, Isabella realized that she was still alive and standing, with nothing more than a cramp in her hip and leg.

The car had hit her, but not so hard, because fortunately she had braked in time.

In the midst of the slight pain, the young woman tried to turn around to continue her scamper, still scared and in a hurry to get to the cruise ship to which she had been invited, when she heard the car door open and then a man calls her.

"Hey, girl! "

"What?" She turned around confused.

A middle-aged man, dressed in a dark suit, approached her. - I hit you, does it hurt? Feeling bad?

"No... No, I'm fine". She stammered somewhat unsurely.

She was listening to the man who was talking to them just a few steps away, when she noticed that someone else was getting out of the car, another man, tall, elegant, and very handsome.

Isabella felt an abnormal startle in her chest, she hardly saw him, for she had never seen such an attractive boy before.

Máximo peeked out, curious to know what had happened, who had been beaten, when he saw that in front of the car was a shaky young woman, somewhat dirty and with quite disheveled clothes. Full of curiosity, Máximo approached.

"You must go to a hospital..." He listened to the driver.

"No, no, I... I'm fine. The young girl's soft voice answered".

"What happened?" Máximo asked, intervening.

"Sir, excuse me..." The driver bowed to him. "I think I hit the girl, and I insist that she go to a hospital, but she doesn't want to listen to me.

"Hey... What's your name?" Maximo addressed the girl in a stern tone.

"Isabella..." she muttered, backing away slightly.

"Did he hit you?" Feeling good? - Máximo asked with a frown, he seemed quite angry.

Isabella raised her face to him and their eyes met for a brief moment.

She had a slightly dirty face and somewhat red eyes, even so, a fleeting thought passed through Maximo's mind, "Her eyes... They are beautiful."

"No... I mean, I barely brush, but I'm fine..." Isabella murmured, frowning, for she couldn't help but think that, although they hit her, they seemed angrier than really worried about her.

"Are you sure?" He insisted, with an authoritarian tone. Isabella just nodded, squeezing the suitcase and envelope in her hand.

Máximo stared at her, staying serious, unable to ignore the fragility of the young girl, and as her body trembled, he did not understand why, but that girl worried him, even though she was no one to him.

But a strange instinct, which he had not felt before, told him that she needed to be taken care of and he was about to step forward, to insist and take her to a hospital, even if it was by force, when a shrill voice caught everyone's attention.

"Max!" What are you up to?! We're going to be late! Emily shouted as she got out of the back seat of the car. Noticing the young girl standing in front of the car and how the people around her were looking at them, she blushed with indignation and walked towards her brother. "What are you doing talking to this riffraff?" Don't you see that she's just a homeless woman, a street woman? And you here, talking to her? What a shame! She muttered under her breath, although the driver and Isabella heard her very well.

"I think we ran over her..." Maximo growled.

"And what is that?" I see her very well..." Emily looked Isabella up and down, contemptuously.

"It's whole, isn't it?" And I don't see any blood, I'm sure she was already dirty, UFF, how disgusting! Just give him some money and that's it, let's go... If we don't arrive on time, Dad will kill us. She turned and walked back to her seat.

Maximo rolled his eyes in disgust, his sister could be very dramatic, but he also remembered his father's words and threats, which made his temper reawaken.

It was true, he had an important trip to make, and he could not continue wasting time with a stranger who, apparently, was fine.

So, without further ado, he simply took his wallet out of a pocket and extracted a good amount of money from inside, which he offered to Isabella.

Máximo answered the phone."What a pity, I wanted to congratulate you, it's a shame that we can't be at Isabella's graduation, we really wanted to attend, but with so much work, it's been impossible for us..."Okay, she understands..." muttered Maximus."Even so, I must say that... I admire you, brother. I don't know how you managed all this alone..." Aiden said. Maximus smiled to himself. - Hey, tell her that I called her and that we send her congratulations and greetings from here..."Yes, I will," said Maximus when the shouts of a little boy interrupted the conversation."Is that Albert?" - Max, for what did you call us? Emily asked after greeting her brother and settling in front of the desk, next to Aiden."First, thank you for coming..." Máximo clenched his jaw, a clear sign of how tense he was."Collins, you're making me nervous... Don't tell me something else happened, because..." Aiden blurted out, leaning back in his seat anxiously.- No, nothing bad has happened... It's just that..." Maximo exhaled heavily, clearly uncomfortable. "I called them to ask them for a favor...""A favor?" Emily raised an eyebrow, in disbelief.“Yes, a very big favor...- Speak now, man... So much extension to ask for a favor? Aiden asked, somewhat amused.- Well... As you know, Isabella will give birth in the next few days, in fact, we are just waiting for the moment to come and, well, I thought that after a few months, when the recovery process passes and we adapt, I... I'd like to... Taking her back abroad...- What?! Aiden and Emily looked at each other, confused.- Listen... It i

Richard stammered, raising his hands slowly, as surprised as he was frightened.- You hurt my spouse, you disobeyed me, and you are going to pay dearly ... - Maximo said without cleaving looking at him frowning."Mr. Collins..." groaned Ricardo, swallowing thickly, trembling, closing his eyes when he noticed Maximo's determination."Max..." Isabella muttered, approaching her spouse, while speaking to him in a tone full of sweetness."They tried to hurt you..." Maximo growled at Isabella, without turning to look at her, because he knew that she would give in as soon as he met her eyes."But they didn't, look at me, honey..." "Those wretched Sinclair’s, they're going to pay me."Máximo murmured thinking about what he had heard and seen on the video call, with that recording it would be more than enough to sink Héctor Sinclair for the death of Isabella's father. As for Ricardo Sinclair, Máximo did not see him appear on the scene, but for Máximo, it was certain that this man would also be implicated.Immediately, Máximo dialed the emergency number, remembering that Isaac said that there was a smell of burning wood.
