The volcano pushed her forward with his staff, and Rori stumbled into the center of the courtyard, falling down next to a pile of what looked like firewood with a large pole in the middle. Rori did not move. She seemed frozen with uncertainty. Her mind was still numb from the amount of information trying to be shoved into it. Then she felt a familiar set of arms, and she peered up to see Kristi and Mason pulling her to her feet.
Rori flung her arms around them both sobbing and Kristi hit her knees, “Oh my god, Kristi you, are ok,” Kristi was crying so hard Max had to pick her up off the ground, “what did they do to her Mace, why are you guys here, what is this place?” Rori asked and Mason looked at her with tears in his eyes, followed by an emotion she had never seen from him before, fear.
FUN FACT: Max & Kristi's last name "Scopuli" comes from the mythological (SIRENUM SCOPULI) Islands....just little clues to WHAT the twins might be... any guesses? Happy Reading <3
Murdok did not proceed to comfort Rori, but he also did not move to separate himself from her desperate grasp; he simply snaked his arm out of her grip before placing his hand at the small of her back, ushering her forward once more until she was again standing in front of Arthur, Ezekiel and the others. The yellow-eyed woman was pulling herself to her feet, snarling in Rori’s direction. She launched at Rori like a missile but all of a sudden, was caught in what looked like a giant bubble with her limbs frozen. “Release me witch,” the yellow-eyed woman screamed as Mina walked between her and Rori,“Ezekiel,” Mrs. Scopuli roared “you cannot seriously think you would get away with probing her, she's human, you know her mind could never handle that.” Rori was shaking. She had never heard Mina talk that way. And what the hell was she doing to that wo
Rori felt the cold prick of The Hex’s nails against each of her temples and she inhaled sharply but did not move. She felt the almost sickening pump of calm rush through her, and she sighed almost sleepily. Rori felt a sharp pain pulse through her brain, then another followed by a a burst of color. The pain kept going first in long-drawn-out pulses then in shorter waves, each time more colors would burst and mold. As they moved, they began to form shapes and sounds, and soon Rori could make out people speaking. The shapes morphed into that of Rori’s Mother first, then another figure she really didn't recognize. He was yelling at Alma and Rori’s mom was standing with her head down and her back against a wall crying. The man began to punch the wall next to her before grabbing her wrist and twisting it until she cried out in pain. Rori groaned at the memory, “how coul
Rori was now watching herself get into the bathtub and drift off to sleep. She started to breathe heavily, as her body felt like it was warming up. For some reason The Hex began to move her nails around inside Rori’s skull. “Please, it hurts,” Rori whimpered and tried to pull away, but Kristi was holding her as she cried along with her friend. Suddenly, Kristi fell to the ground, grasping her forearms while she drew ragged breaths. Arthur looked on in complete shock as Rori grabbed The Hex by the shoulders. The two women continued to scream in an agonizing struggle before The Hex finally ripped her fingers out of Rori’s head and the two sank to the ground panting. The Hex reached for Rori, “No!” Kristi screamed, and the obsidian woman hissed, bearing her sickeningly long, thin teeth. Arthur grabbed his daughter and pulled her t
Rori rolled over in her sleep, groaning, the weight of her body felt like lead. “That is definitely the last time I will go to some party with Kristi,'' she thought. Rori nestled around the blankets, she was the perfect temperature underneath them but was pretty sure she would be disturbed by Kristi any minute for breakfast, so she opted out of going back to sleep. Rori stretched her body still covered by heavy blankets when she noticed the bedding smelled heavily of smoked wood and burnt sulfur. “had there been a fire at the party last night?” Rori decided to get up and go to the bathroom, she could still feel one of her shoes on, and that could only mean she also desperately needed a bath. Sitting up, pushing the bedspread from her head, Rori opened her eyes and let them adjust to the stra
Once more the door burst open and Rori screamed louder. Sinking to the floor, she clutched onto the chain on her ankle like it were a security blanket. “Jelly soup Murdok! You scared her again!” Destiny sounded like she was scolding him and Rori was afraid for her. Murdok ignored the young woman's questions. “What the hell are you doing in here? I told you to wait until— why is she loose?” Rori was curled up so tight on the floor her entire body was beginning to cramp, she sobbed softly into her knees until she heard the pitter-patter of small feet flutter across the floor and soft cool hands touched her shoulders “Hay calm down, nobody is going to hurt you here ok?” Rori looked up at Destiny and noticed that her eyes seemed to twinkle almost as she smiled sweetly. Rori was so very overwhelmed with everything that her br
Rori couldn't help but gawk at Destiny. Her body was the perfect caramel color, her skin looked soft to the touch and the way the water lapped over her small perky breasts had Rori’s heart beating rapidly. The sound of coy laughter had Rori jolting her eyes up to Destiny’s, blushing at the thought of being spotted. “It's alright, I don’t mind, Murdok said you are from the neutral world, and you don’t know anything about us.” Destiny stretched her arms out to the side “come on turn around, so I can clean your hair, the big guy gets cranky if we make him wait forever.” Rori nodded and turned, as Destiny began to wash her hair Rori wondered how she could have ended up in such a crazy world but the melody of Destiny’s voice captured her attention. “Go ahead, ask” Destiny said as she lightly put pressure on Rori's shoulder to get her to lean down more in the water, “tip your he
The Hex snapped her long nails against one another, causing Rori to jolt her attention back to the hauntingly elegant creature. The Hex stepped forward and reached for Rori’s temple when Murdok again snatched her wrist out of the air like a kung fu master. “You will be as gentle as possible, or I will send you back to father in a Lycan Silver casket.” The Hex simply sneered at Murdok’s statement and knelt down to face Rori. Rori licked her lips and tried her best to smile, “don’t worry little pet, I will be as tender as possible,” The Hex reached down and stopped as Rori’s soft cold fingers gently brushed The Hex’s wrist, “did he hurt you?” she asked and for a moment The Hex’s expression was pure shock. “Have not a worry little flower... takes more than an angry dragon to take down The Hex of the Vail.” A genuine, wide toothed smile spread across
