Nadia's pov.

Everyone in the realm knew who the Sebastian were. They were one of the leading, richest family houses and even my house couldn't compare to their status and wealth.

Their daughter, Valerie Sebastian, was known to be an introvert and weirdo whom every other young lady tended to avoid. She barely attended functions and when she did, I only caught a glimpse of her till she caused catastrophe.

Rumors were that she was insane and I never believed it till I met her some minutes ago.

'What the hell was she saying though and who wouldn't avoid death after knowing their fate?' I pondered.

"Valerie is in no condition to see him now." Gaius said, reminding me that the Lycan twins were here, meaning my bethroted wanted to see me and probably asked why I threw myself off the cliff.

Come to think of it, I don't blame Valerie for doing so. I might have done worse if I was in her shoes before I was reborn. Noah Whitmore's cruelty was no news or fairytale.

He was the terrorist twin, the beast whom every lady feared due to a horrifying incident that happened between him and his childhood lover. Rumors were he just snapped one day and broke her neck.

Even his family avoided him. I wasn't going to be like Valerie, I wouldn't run from this man, I would marry him and not because I cared, but because I needed to use him.

If I wanted to go against those bastards who betrayed and killed me, I needed someone of a very high status, higher than the Sebastian's as well or a combination of two huge, family powers.

Lucien wasn't someone ordinary, neither was Malia. They coming together was enough threat and I was sure they would have started controlling my household now, even if Dad was still alive.

I wonder if they had found my body now. Was Dad sad or nonchalant as always?

'Should I reach out to him, wouldn't it be too risky?' So many thoughts dashed through my mind.

"Tell him to come back." My new mum said but I reached out to touch her. She flinched, turning to look at me immediately.

I couldn't speak so I signalled to a sheet of paper laying on the desk opposite me. A pen was brought towards me too so I steadied my hand to write, with Gaius' help.

"I will see him." Mum read out loud, mixed emotions flashing in her red eyes.

"Would that be wise?" Gaius tightened his grip on me, but not in a harmful way.

"What if she gets triggered to commit suicide again?" He questioned and I realized mum and him were so protective of Valerie.

Their gestures moved me. I touched Gaius with my other hand and nodded at him, smiling a bit.

He let out a weary sigh and turned towards the young butler who was still standing by the entrance.

"Let him in." Gaius said and the butler bowed again before exiting the room.

"But how will she communicate with him? She can't talk." Mum pointed out and I froze.

"That's true. What if he calls off the engagement due to that?" Gaius threw back the question at her and I bit my lower lips again.

I always do that wherever I was nervous or bite my nails.

"I hope he does. I can't bear to lose my daughter again." Mum said, looking away and I felt my heart aching towards her.

She reminded me of my own mother and I was sure if she was still alive, Lucien wouldn't have dared to do that to me. Even Malia's existence wouldn't be known in our Pack.

Mum died due to a rare illness but I feel she was killed. Could it also be related to my death or was I overthinking?

A knock sounded on the door again and we all held our breath as the butler opened the door for him to walk in.

I could feel my heart pounding heavily against my chest as I stared at the most beautiful man I had ever seen in my years of living.

His long, dark, braided hair cascaded down his back, his light blue eyes flickered around the room before landing on me. He stretched out his tongue to lick his glossy, pink lips and I could feel saliva gathering in my mouth.

His features were chiseled and he looked muscular.

"I heard you tried to kill yourself." He said, his deep manly voice sending shivers down my spine as he batted his long lashes at me. They were so full and looked soft.

I could feel envy clawing at me. How could a man look so good?

Please don't tell me this was the fearsome Lycan king Noah or was this his twin?

"So straight to the point as always, Noah." Gaius snarled and Noah turned to glance at him.

So he was Noah? I almost dropped my jaw in disbelief as tension rose in the air.

"W-what d-do you want?" Mum inquired as she clutched to me and I could feel her shaking.

Was he that scary? Well, yes. His aura was overwhelming and his eyes were darkening as he kept staring at us.

"I can't check on my bride-to-be anymore?" He threw back the question.

"Really?" Gaius huffed and the side of Noah's lips curled into a smirk.

"Yes, she is mine, after all." He expressed dominance and I could feel my cheeks burning, a warm flutter in my stomach.

What was this weird feeling?

Our eyes locked and I swore I could feel myself swimming in those gaze.

"Get well soon." He said and turned to exit the room but then the most delicious smell hit me, my wolf came alive in my head and I could feel my heart racing.

I sniffled the air, the scent was getting stronger, alluring and enchanting.

"Mate." My wolf growled in my head but it wasn't towards Noah, it was towards.....

  • The Dumb Cursed Heiress and Her Mates: Reborn For Revenge    The Cage

Nadia's POVThe walls were closing in. I could feel them.It started the morning after the feast. I went to the healer’s hut, like I always did, to help . But two warriors were standing outside the door. Kael’s men.“Healer is busy,” one said, not looking at my face. His voice was flat. “No visitors today.”I stood there, holding my basket of clean bandages. Agatha was never too busy for me. I tried to step forward, to show him the basket. He moved, blocking the door with his whole body. “I said, she’s busy. Go back to your room.”His eyes were empty. There was no arguing with them.I walked away, my face hot. I could feel his stare on my back. It wasn’t the only one.Everywhere I went, they were there. A young warrior leaning against the wall, watching me cross the courtyard. Two more by the kitchens, stopping their talk to stare as I passed. Their eyes followed me, cold and heavy.I went for a walk in the gardens, to the quiet patch of herbs by the eastern wall. It was my place to

  • The Dumb Cursed Heiress and Her Mates: Reborn For Revenge    The Doubt

Noah's POVThe feast was over, but the feeling in my gut wasn't. It was a cold, hard knot. Valerie's face at the table kept flashing in my mind. The way she’d gone white as a sheet. The way her eyes had looked through all of us, like she was seeing a nightmare right there in the hall.I was in my study, trying to shake it off, when Maya came in. She moved like a soft breeze, closing the door quietly behind her.“Noah?” she said, her voice a gentle whisper. “Are you alright? You seem troubled.”I rubbed my forehead. “It’s nothing. Just tired.”She came closer, her hand resting lightly on my arm. “It’s not nothing. I saw it too. At the feast. It was… strange.”I looked at her. “What was strange?”She bit her lip, like she was unsure about speaking. “It’s just… Valerie’s reaction. When Lucien’s name came up. It was so… strong. So full of fear.” She moved her hand, her fingers tracing a worried pattern on my sleeve. “Most people, they get angry at the mention of an enemy. Or they get dete

  • The Dumb Cursed Heiress and Her Mates: Reborn For Revenge    The Ghost at the Feast

Nadia POVThe great hall was full of noise, but it was the wrong kind. It wasn’t the happy noise of a pack sharing a meal. It was the tense, sharp noise of a pack holding its breath. Every laugh from Noah’s end of the room felt too loud, like a challenge. Every quiet word from our end felt heavy, like a secret. You could see the split right down the middle of the room, clear as a knife cut.At the head table on one side, Noah sat in his big Alpha chair. Maya was pressed to his side like a second skin, her arm linked through his. Around them sat Kael and the other younger warriors, the ones who liked Noah’s new, bold way of talking. They laughed loud at his jokes, they cheered when he spoke, but their eyes were hard, always watching us.At the other big table, Neal sat. I was right beside him, my chair close to his. Old Man Hermlock was there, his wrinkled face serious. the healer sat with us too, and a few of the older, steadier warriors with grey in their hair and scars on their arms

  • The Dumb Cursed Heiress and Her Mates: Reborn For Revenge    The Viper’s Rattle

Maya’s POVNoah is soft in my hands now. Like warm clay. After his big fight with his brother, he came to find me. He held me close, his face buried in my hair. He told me I was the only one who truly understood him. The only one who saw his vision. It is almost too easy now. But easy is boring. I do not just want to be loved. I want to be listened to. I want my words to be law. I want people to hear my voice and jump.It starts small. In the kitchen after the noon meal. The head cook is there, a large woman with a red, sweaty face, stirring a big pot.I walk in, smiling my sweetest, most harmless smile. “Hello there,” I say, my voice like a soft song. She turns, wiping her hands on her dirty apron. “Oh. Miss Maya. Do you need something? Something to eat?”“The Alpha Noah was just talking with me,” I say, my voice light and airy, like I am sharing a happy secret. “He said the smell of strong onion is too much for him now. It hurts his head. For dinner tonight, he wants only the gentle

  • The Dumb Cursed Heiress and Her Mates: Reborn For Revenge    The Divide Widens

Neal's POVThe morning felt wrong. The air was too still. My Valerie was too quiet. She had kissed me goodbye, her lips soft and sure. But her eyes… they were somewhere else. A place I couldn’t reach. She had written Just stronger on her pad. And she was. I could see it in the straight line of her back, in the way she watched everything now. But the stronger she got, the farther away she felt. Like she was building a wall of that new strength, and I was on the other side of it.I pushed the worry down. I had to. The pack was coming apart like old rope, and my brother was the one fraying the ends.I found him in the war room with his current closest warrior, Kael. Maya was there too, of course, sitting in the corner like a pretty manipulative thing.“Noah,” I said, my voice flat. “We need to talk about the northern border. Lucien’s wolves are testing us. They’re getting closer every day.”Noah didn’t look up from the map. “I know. I’ve decided to pull the patrols back. Tighten our circ

  • The Dumb Cursed Heiress and Her Mates: Reborn For Revenge    The Unspoken Burden

Nadia's POVThe morning light felt different on my skin. It wasn't just warm. It was sharp. Clear. Like the world had come into focus while I slept in Neal's arms.He was still sleeping beside me, his face peaceful. I watched the steady rise and fall of his chest. Last night had been real. The love was real. But something else was real now, too. Something that had slept inside me for a long, long time had woken up.I slipped out of bed without waking him. I dressed quietly. My movements were smooth, silent. I felt calm. But it wasn't the calm of peace. It was the calm of a wolf before a hunt. My mind was quiet, but my eyes were seeing everything. In the kitchen, the morning gossip was already flowing."Did you hear?" a young cook whispered to another. "Lucien's scouts were seen near the northern river again. Getting bolder, they are."My hand didn't shake as I poured tea. I just listened. The name Lucien didn't make me flinch anymore. It made my blood go still and cold."They say he's
