Nikola POV
As we flew over the ocean Cyra stirred slightly in the seat next to me. I kept my eyes on her, truly amazed that such a strong woman came from such a crap hand of life. She was almost set up for failure at every major turn in life, yet she managed to get past it. I was relieved she finally had some answers.
The story of Cael and Helga kept playing over in my head. Theo is no angel, but in a way, I could understand the similarities. Maybe Cael was wrong. He told Cyra she needed to be prepared for loss. After my conversation with the king, I know I have a way to stop that.
