Chapter Sixteen

It's seven in the morning, and I haven't slept at all. Not that I didn't want to, but Aiden's snore was so fuckin' loud that I couldn't sleep. I got up from the chair, and my back hurts like hell. I got out of the office and went to the cafeteria. I took two coffees and two avocado toast and got back to my office. I got inside my office, closed the door behind me, and saw that Aiden was now awake.

''Good morning,'' I said, handing him the coffee and a toast. Then I got to my desk and set up my chair.

''How do you sleep on this couch? All my bones hurt." He says getting up from the couch and sitting in one of the chairs that are in front of my desk. I took a sip of my coffee, looking at him with an "I don't have another choice" look.

We finished our coffee and toast, and I got back to the work I have to do today, but all I could think about was Aaron. He must be hungry. Ema has taken some days off because she is sick and no one else is here to replace her.
