Chapter Eighteen: The Poisoned Goodbye.

Julian gradually opened his eyes, turning to his side but Caesar wasn't there, it was only the teacup that lay on the nightstand.

Julian goes to the bathroom, but Caesar wasn't there. He paces to almost every room and living rooms in the mansion but no sign of Caesar.

“Have you seen Caesar today, madam?”, he asked a maid. “No, Master Julian”.

There was one place he hadn't checked, the garden. He makes his way there to check around. Yesterday, he wanted to kill this man but now he desperately looks for him regretting his actions.

“Good morning, pet. Are you looking for something?”he felt a cold voice against his ear. It was definitely Caesar's.

He flinches, almost stumbling to the ground. Caesar was fine, standing before him, he was shocked.

Caesar locks eyes with him, making him squirm.

“I just didn't….see you in bed”, he shutters.

“I decided to check my flowers and meditate a little”, Caesar replied.
