5. Kitty

She saw how the church was grandly decorated, she couldn't believe that Tom would spend so much on decoration. They planned a simple wedding because he kept complaining he didn't had any money to spend and waste on things that ain't important-and to Tom, decorating the church and the party hall was too much.

Gripping her wedding gown, and gulping down her saliva every minute, Kitty walked slowly towards the church front door. Her heart kept pounding fast and her whole body shaking, what if it's actually Tom she thought and gripped her gown even tightly.

She slightly opened her mouth audibly breathing heavily. When she got to the front of the church, she beheld the decorative entrance. It was lavishly decorated, hers was plain and they didn't even paid for booking, the priest was a friend of her Aunt.

Her gaze travelled straight up to the alter, she espied how beautiful the bride's gown were, hers was cheap and plain, Tom told her he had no money, that they needed to cut down on their expenses.

When she looked at the groom, she got the shock of her life, he was happily placing the ring on the bride's finger.

Then he removed the veil, and she witnessed that it was truly her best friend.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride." The priest said.

She was shattered, taking two clumsy steps backwards almost slumping on the ground.

She hit the decorative rod-stand by the side of the chairs, stirring up loud noise. The guests at the back seats turned and looked at her, they kept muttering words within themselves wondering what another bride was doing at the scene of the wedding.

She felt so shameful, used and fooled. Why he did that to her-she had no idea. Tears kept falling from her eyes, she turned to walk away and almost slumped, but she was caught by Jason.

She was shocked to see him, she thought he left. Having someone there with her encouraged her a bit, she leaned on him and gave him a tight embrace.

The guest at the back seats kept muttering within themselves, and it stirred up disturbances. The guests at the front seats kept looking behind curious to finding out what the disturbance was all about.

It caught the attention of the newly wedded couple, as they also tried to figure out what was the reason for the chaotic noise.

The couple looked startled at the sight of Kitty.

"I knew she'd show up." The bride said rolling her eyes.

Kitty stood on her feet with the help of Jason, and when she took a quick glance around, she noticed all eyes were fixed at her. Slowly, she set her gaze towards the alter to look at the couple, her eyes instantly met with Tom's.

She breathe a sigh of relief, finally she saw for herself how she had been fooled. Wondering for how long they could have pulled it off- she kept walking towards them slowly.

Silvia, Margret, her sister Mirabel and few of the other guests at the other church walked in just in time.

When Mirabel saw the man who drove her sister down there, she approached him

"Where is she?" Mirabel asked him.

Jason pointed to Kitty who was few steps away from the alter.

"Oh no, I don't think its a good idea." Mirabel muttered.

Before she thought of to approach Kitty, Jason beat her to it. He ran to her, and pulled her backwards to himself. She fell with full force on Jason's chest.

He swings her around and grabbed her by her waistline, with their eyes fixed at each other. Her hair tied up in a bun loosen up and touched her shoulders. She looked even prettier with her hair down. She noticed the slight glimmer of passion in Jason's eyes, but in an instance it disappeared.

She felt her stomach summersault, she had been with this stranger for few minutes only now did she noticed his beautiful deep sea blue eyes. She quickly looked away and tried to get off him, but he still held on tightly to her.

After much attempts she set her gaze at him, her brows furrowed and her eyes travelling between his eyes and his hand around her waist signaling him to get off.

"How about you get married today?" He said to her.

She outbursts into laughter, and suddenly frowned again. She thought if she wanted to get married who could she possibly get married to.

"Get off me." She yelled at him trying to force him off her.

"How about we get married right now?" He said to her again.

She stared at him and saw how serious he looked, how could he possibly wanted to get married to a stranger he just met.

She felt his grip on her loosen, then she pushed him away. She turned and glared at Tom.

"Don't blame me, I just couldn't marry you, you are so naive and so inexperienced, I just couldn't imagine my life in a long run with you." He said to her with a mockery look on his face.

She walked to him and hit him on his face, then she turned to her best friend and spat in her eyes. Tears started falling

from her eyes, she kept gnashing her teeth and then bent her head with her hands placed on her knees, she groaned in so much anguish. One of her hands held her belly and the other on her chest, wailing-she moved slowly backwards and then she felt someone touched her.

And it was Jason, the stranger who had been with her all morning, with her pleading eyes she kept staring at him, but she was interrupted when she heard Tom's voice again-

"Give up Kitty, I don't think any man would ever want to marry you. Stop causing a scene and go fix yourself."

Her heart crushed and an excruciating pain followed, the man she had spent five years of her life with, was publicly mocking her.

"Let's get married." The strangers voice whispered in her ears.

"Let's get married right now, right here." He whispered the second time.

Kitty knew getting married would prove Tom wrong but to a total stranger-she dared.

"Let's get married and divorce later. Deal?" She said to the stranger.

"Deal." He responded with a devilish smile.
