Happy Monthsary!

The strong aroma that permeated Kiara's chamber awakened her up.

She opened her eyes gradually as she took in the pleasant smell. She was surprised to see her bed already filled with flowers and another bouquet of pink roses that read, "Happy 86th monthsary Love!"

After taking a whiff of her beloved pink roses, Kiara smiled and called her boyfriend, Drew.

"Good morning, Love! Thanks for the surprise. Happy 86th months full of love!" Kiara said to Drew.

"Did you like it, Love? Get ready later, I'll pick you up at 6 p.m." Drew replied.

Inspired, Kiara answered, "All right, I'll finish office responsibilities early, see you later. I love you!"

Drew ended the call with, "I love you too, Love."

Quickly rising, Kiara dashed into the restroom to use the restroom before taking a shower. She made an effort to look and smell her best today because she and Drew would have a date tonight.

All day long at work, Kiara had a positive attitude. She extends a smile to everyone who passes by. She sung as she worked in her workplace.

Shane, a close colleague, walked up to her. "Looks like we had a fantastic day today. What's up? Has Drew proposed to you?" she asked Kiara.

"Oh no, no, no. I'm just happy because Drew surprised me early with flowers for our monthsary." Kiara replied with a smile.

Shane hugged Kiara and said, "Happy to see you smile and inspired. I'm hoping you two will soon tie the knot."

"Soon, sis. If both of us are prepared to settle down and at God's right timing."

"Don't wait for God's perfect timing. What if there may come a point when you simply feel that your love for one another has faded. You'll come to terms with the fact that there is no spark, and you will no longer be happy. Do you have any plans for that?"

"Hold it! Today, I don't want to hear any unkind words. I want to unwind and enjoy myself." Kiara said while pushing Shane out of her office.

Shane stopped walking and said, "Fine! Enjoy your date tonight. Make Drew satisfied so he won't need to find another woman." 

After saying that, Shane gave Kiara a wink and left.

Kiara and the other employees attended an urgent meeting after lunch. Their Supervisor claims that a manager of their company in a branch experienced a negative incident. They must appoint a new replacement manager. A reliable and effective employee.

Their supervisor said, "Since you are the next in rank and also have high experience in this company, the board of directors entrusts our branch to you, Ms. Kiara Santos. You will be promoted as the manager of the said branch."

Kiara was surprised by what their supervisor said and all the employees applauded. They were all happy about Kiara’s promotion and they knew she deserved it.

Kiara is still in disbelief at her unexpected promotion. Finally, her efforts were rewarded. There is no questioning Kiara's excellent performance, intelligence, and dependability at work. 

She would reveal her pleasant surprise to Drew later. He will be overjoyed about her promotion. They have always been there for one another.

Even before 6 p.m., Kiara had already prepared and changed her clothes. She was wearing a backless dress and the beautiful shape of her body was obvious.

She combines it with a pair of red stilettos and does her hair simply yet elegantly. Every man can fall completely in love with her because of how stunning she is.

On that night, Kiara makes sure she will be the most attractive girl. She has a strong passion for Drew. If he does propose, she is prepared to marry him.

Five minutes before 6, Drew came in his black BMW vehicle. He got out of the automobile and his handsomeness was also floating. He had a delightful smell and was tall and muscular.

Kiara approached him right away. Drew was absolutely astounded to see his lovely girlfriend.

"Wow. You look perfect tonight, Love," Drew said while kissing her hand.

Kiara pouted and replied, "Is it just tonight?"

Drew giggles and whispers, "Of course not. You are always beautiful!"

Drew took Kiara to an expensive restaurant. The theme of the place is very romantic and obviously classy.

While eating, someone was playing romantic music on the piano. Drew asks Kiara to dance. He caressed her gorgeous waist firmly with one hand while holding it with the other.

They both appear to be made for one another. Drew mumbles, "Let's have a very fantastic sleep later."

Kiara answered, biting her lip, "Sure. Let's fill our night with love."

Drew then gave Kiara a deep kiss.

After they danced, Kiara was excited to tell what happened earlier in their office to Drew.

"I have a surprise for you, Love, by the way. Did you know that I was given the position of branch manager in Baguio?" Kiara said excitedly. 

"Wow! Really, Love? Congratulations! You deserved it!" Drew said while hugging Kiara.

He paused for a bit and said, "But wait, does that mean you're going to live there too? Love, Baguio is too far. I'm not used to us not being together every day."

"I am aware, Love, but I don't want to miss the opportunity. Many people desire it. There is also an internet connection there. Video calls are available every day and every hour."

Drew remained silent and only looked at Kiara. He did not want them to be apart in his thoughts. They have been together for more than seven years, and during that time they have never missed more than five days of each other's company. As a result, he finds this circumstance to be pretty disturbing.

Kiara values her profession highly, and Drew is aware of this. Additionally, she has long desired a promotion. His girlfriend's career success is unavoidable. Even though it may hurt him, he must support her because he loves her so deeply.

"Love?" Kiara asked while holding Drew's hand and enticingly look at him.

Drew inhaled deeply while holding their hands even more tightly.

"Okay Love, just make a promise to me that we will always communicate and, most importantly, don't replace me for another man. Perhaps you'll find someone there later who is more attractive, and you'll break up with me." Drew said while pouting his lips.

Kiara was shocked and replied, "Are you crazy, Love? Is there anyone more handsome than my boyfriend? Hello! Whoever else I see there, I will never trade you. You are already my Mr.  Right."

"Perhaps you will be the one to find someone else, Love. What if there is a moment where you are unable to reach me and you later start looking for another woman? Don't you ever try to do that!" Kiara said while pinching Drew's nose.

"Of course I can't do that to you. I'm faithful to you, right? And I know we trust each other. So no matter how many times that we need to be in a long distance relationship, we will never part ways." Drew said and softly kissed Kiara's lips.

Kiara smiled and said, "I know, Love. I love you so much! Happy monthsary!"

She then give Drew a sweet and passionate kiss. 

Drew stood up at once saying, "This drama is over. Let's go to my condo and enjoy the rest of the night."

Kiara knew what her boyfriend meant. She immediately got up and got into the car.
