Irrevocable Mistake

Kiara was traveling back to Baguio. She made an effort to evade Luke's attention.

Kiara screamed in her brain, "My God Kiara! You are an idiot! Why did you have sex with him?!"

She was concerned about what happened to her and Luke. She found it hard to accept that she had sex with someone other than her boyfriend. She cares deeply about Drew, but she is unsure of what he might do if he learns what transpired between her and Luke.

Kiara looked for her phone the moment they arrived at the location with a signal. She was aware that Drew had already texted her numerous times and missed calls since there was no signal wherever they went, so she hastened to find it. The two bags Kiara was carrying were thoroughly searched, but she was still unable to locate her phone.

Luke pondered as he regarded Kiara. He appears to be searching for something, and there is a hint of worry on her face. "Miss Kiara, are you okay? What are you looking for?" he asked as he walked up to her.

Even though the vehicle they were in was still moving, Kiara mocked him and kept looking. Kiara said grumpily, "I'm looking for my phone, but I can't find it!" Luke advised her to calm down because Baguio was drawing near and she might trip over while looking through her bags because of the road's zigzag nature.

He tried to convince Kiara to listen to him, but she ignored him. She got to her feet and started to reach for the bag perched on the seat when the wave of their bus knocked her off balance. Luke, who was still in front of her, fortunately, caught her right away. Luke's right hand seized Kiara's waist while his left hand firmly grasped the chair. Kiara quickly stood up correctly as they exchanged more intense looks.

"Are you alright?" Luke asked.

"Yes, so go back to your seat," Kiara firmly answered.

Kiara gave up looking and appeared humiliated by her colleagues after being unexpectedly grabbed by Luke. She will just call Drew when she arrives at the condo.

Everyone stepped off the bus when they arrived at Baguio. Kiara refused Luke's offer to assist her to carry the bag. Kiara responded fiercely, "I can do this, okay?"

Luke simply shrugged and continued to be curious about Kiara's treatment of him. She no longer communicates with him after what happened to them, and she frequently exhibits signs of rage.

Luke queried, "Are you upset with me?" Kiara kept waiting for the taxi without responding. There were only the two of them remaining as Luke turned to look around.

Luke inquired again, "Are you mad about what happened to the two of us?"

Kiara halted and turned to face him, saying, "Stop! Everything was a mistake! So just forget about it!" Kiara responded in disbelief.

Luke responded to Kiara with a smile, "Huh? Seriously? Forget? Hell, no! That was the best sex for me."

Luke's response surprised Kiara. The term "sex" made her shudder, especially when Luke grinned sweetly in her direction. "Luke, please! Drew can't know that! I love him and I made the biggest mistake of my life! I don't want him out of my life!" she exclaimed after taking a deep breath. Kiara responded sobbing. Kiara's response saddened Luke. He appeared to be hurt by what he heard, for whatever reason.

Luke was still unable to talk. He envisions telling Drew everything so that they can end their relationship and he can have a chance with Kiara.

Kiara, unable to control her sobs, pleaded with Luke, "So please, don't ever tell anyone what happened. Just this once, give it to me."

Kiara's tears were wiped away by Luke's hands, who then grinned a little. "If that's really what you want, go ahead. I'll just stay silent. I just hope it's all worth it," he said.

When Kiara got into the taxi, Luke was still looking at her.

"I want you again, Kiara," Luke said to himself.

While on his way home, Luke still couldn't get Kiara out of his mind. He didn't understand but he was hurt when Kiara said she loved Drew. What Luke knows is that he is a playboy and he cannot fall in love with a woman. He doesn't want to be like his father who his mother just left after he was born and went with another man.

As soon as Kiara arrived at the condo, she immediately pulled everything out of her suitcase to search for her phone, but she was still unsuccessful.

"I need to call Drew, where is my phone, oh my gosh!"

Despite her best efforts, Kiara was unable to clearly see her phone. She gave up looking and acknowledged that she lost it at the resort. She took a shower right afterward and made the decision to get a new phone so she could call Drew right away.

It was 2 p.m. and Kiara came back with the new phone, she immediately called Drew.

Drew's phone keeps ringing and he doesn't answer it. Kiara did it again and again until she reached ten attempts and got tired.

"What are you doing, Love? Why aren't you answering? Call me asap. Love you!" Kiara texted Drew.

Kiara just lay on her bed while waiting for her boyfriend's call. While looking at the roof, Luke's face came to her mind. Even though she was intoxicated, she recalls everything that happened. As she reflected on the wonderful kisses she and Luke had shared, she pursed her lips and closed her eyes. Warmth spread throughout her entire body, and the lust she had that evening with Luke appeared to reemerge. Luke's hands messed with her thoughts as they kissed her all over and massaged her breast. Kiara was startled out of sleep when her phone rang.

"Kiara, what the hell are you thinking?" she irritably yelled to herself.

It was Drew. She immediately answered it.

"Love!!! I'm sorry we just talked. There's no signal at the resort and I even lost my cellphone."

"Hi Love, so that's the reason why I can't contact you. It's okay, at least we talked now," answered Drew.

"I miss you, Love! Wait, where are you now? Why is that noise?"

"Huh? By the way, I had an emergency flight yesterday here in Cebu. I attended a conference and at the same time had a meeting with our investors."

"Ahh. Is that so? Who is with you, Love?"

Drew couldn't answer right away. Kiara can't find out that he and Mika are together, she will definitely be angry.

"Ahhh.. just my colleague at work, Love. Excuse me, Love. I'll hang up because we're not done here yet. I love you!"

"I Love..." Call ended.

Kiara wondered why Drew immediately hung up and didn't wait for her response to say "I love you too."

Kiara told herself, "Maybe he's just busy. Don't overthink Kiara. It's you who has a fault. Don't analyze negatively of Drew."

Drew's POV:

Mika walked over to Drew and grabbed his arm.

She pulled him and said, "You're just here. Come on, it's a photo op with the speakers and VIP."

Drew didn't say a word and was about to remove Mika's hand from his arm, but it was tightly clinging to him. Even in their pictorial with the speakers of the conference, Mika still doesn't let go. Drew couldn't hold back a smile and was obviously taken aback by her clinginess.

Before they left, Mika took her phone.

"Drew, hold on, let's snap a selfie", Mika said.

Drew replied, "Huh? I'm good. Just do it on your own," and turned to leave.

"Just one selfie, please," Mika added.

Mika posed next to Drew before he could respond.

He was confined to staring at the camera and remained expressionless, in contrast to Mika, who grinned broadly in the photograph.

Mika quickly followed Drew as he hastily left the hallway.

Mika asked, "You're going home?"

"Yes," Drew replied as he kept walking, "The conference has ended. There's no reason for me to stay here. I already booked my flight."

Mika tried to entice him by grabbing his hand. Mika suggested, "Let's just go home together tomorrow, can you stay one night with me first?"

Drew swiftly retracted his hand from Mika's.

Drew snapped back angrily, "Please, Mika. Stop that foolishness! You know Kiara is my girlfriend, and I love her!"

"What? You love her? Seriously? Why did you agree to what happened between us last night? You don't really love her, Drew. Admit it, you had a good time last night, right? I can be your perfect girlfriend, Drew. Leave  Kiara and I swear, you won't regret it." Mika exclaimed.

"Shut up, Mik! Can you hear yourself? You deserve someone else. Don't mess with Kiara and me. She's the only woman I'll ever love and marry," Drew said seriously.

Mika was moved to tears by Drew's words to her. She knew she looked like a fool for what she did but she didn't care. She loves Drew and will do anything to get what she wants.

Mika brought wine to her hotel room. She sobs as she drinks.

She swore to herself, "You can't do this to me, Drew. I know I made you happy last night. You will be mine."

She took her phone and grinned like she was about to do something evil.

She vilely remarked, "Let's just see if Kiara doesn't break up with you with what I do."

On I*******m, she shared a selfie of herself and Drew and added the caption: "Had a great night with you last night! Thank you!"

Before she posted it, she made sure Drew's account was tagged.

"Good job, Mika. You have nowhere to go, Drew. Kiara will never accept you," she grinned.
