Kori trudged into her house after a long day of work and plopped down on the bed with a heavy sigh.
She grabbed her phone from her purse and scrolled through it, forgetting that she had to lie down properly.
Her phone buzzed in her hand and she rose a brow at the caller ID.
"This is a surprise"
"I can hear the smirk in your tone" Paisley replied on the other end and gave an eye roll."Well, forgive me for being surprised. You rarely call. Is anything up?"

Chapter 19 Staring at Carter's childhood home, Paisley couldn't help but feel like she knew nothing about him. It was not at all what she expected it to be.
