Fiona’s POV

I needed my friends to meet Mitt.

I just wanted to rip the band-aid off. Who cares if he’s older? Who cares if this started off as a sugar daddy situation? All that mattered now was that he loved me and I loved him.

“What about Friday night?”

“I don’t know.”

“Mitt!” I whined. “Do you not want to meet my friends, is that it? You can tell me if that’s the case.”

“Fine, I don’t want to meet your friends.”

“They’re gonna start thinking I made you up and that I robbed a bank or something.”

“I just know it won’t go over well,” Mitt sighed. “I’m just sure of it, trust me Fiona.”

“So what? They never get to meet you? I’ll always be a seventh wheel when my friends and I go out. Is it me? You’re ashamed of me or something?”

“What? Of course not, Fiona. I love you.” He kissed me. “I could never be ashamed of you, my love. It’s me. I’m just worried your friends will lose respect for you for being with a guy like me.”
