Chapter 12: How do you know?

Oliver’s POV

“Be careful. I smell something different about this man,” the usually silent Draven warned us as we get closer to the man in the hut.

He was right. Even though we are still ten steps away from the man, something feels weird about him.

When the man noticed us, we went into alert mode, but he only smiled and waved at us. He put down his broom and approached us.

“Hello, hello. What brings you to my humble abode, gentlemen? Please come inside.”

His smile was very warm that he doesn’t look suspicious at all.

I looked at both Draven and Jethro. When our eyes met, we had a tacit understanding. We cautiously went inside the small hut.

Just like how small it looked, it was also small inside. There was barely a space for four men to fit inside. On the left side, I noticed a bed and a worn-out mosquito net. There were some hanging things on the ceiling. I guess they are some kind of herbs or jerky.
