I scan the table and stop my gaze at Elder Ian. Confusion clouds his vision as he turns his attention towards Jacob and Hunter. A flicker of sympathy flashes through his eyes before he turns his focus back to me. He clears his throat and sits up straight. “We are here to formally vote on and to change the structure and power between the alphas, lunas, and their elders for Dark Moon and Moon Sun packs. Do you understand what this means to your pack and to the delicate balance of power with your packs?”

He looks at Jacob first and then at Hunter. They both nod and reply, “Yes.”
