55. What Painting?

Everything happened so fast.

After Logan left, Trisha came down and started asking me questions I couldn't answer.

"I heard something about a fire. Is everything okay?" she asked me.

"There is a fire in Logan's company building, so he went there to help," I told her.

"Oh my god, that's horrible. Wait, you work there too. Does that mean you will be jobless?" Trisha gasps.

I didn't even think about that. Surely Logan has enough money to recover from the damages today. And he probably has insurance.

I don't get the chance to think more as the door suddenly bursts open, and four men come barging in. I look at their faces and don't recognize them from the office.

One of them glares at me, then his facial expression changes when he sees Trisha. "There she is, that's the girl."

"What is this supposed to mean? Who are you?" I growl, but he ignores me and walks straight toward Trisha and grabs her arm.

"Hey! Don't touch her!" I cry out and go to attach him, but one of the other men grab
