(Ernesta POV)
I was stunned as Marcus's shadow disappeared.
Does he care about me?
That's not right, the person he cares about is Eulalia.
Obviously I knew it all from the beginning, but right now I still couldn't help but feel sad.
Eulalia, she's so lucky.
Even knowing her disgusting past, the most cruel thing Marcus could do was just detain her, he didn't even say anything harsh.
I really don't understand why she rejected him anymore.
Because of those rumors?
If so, that's ridiculous, she hasn't met Marcus even once.
But that's really Eulalia, isn't it?
So if I tell this truth to Eulalia, will she come back?
I laughed and shook my head, I immediately had an answer in my heart.
Probably not. Even if it were true, she wouldn't believe me, maybe she even thought I was deliberately planning to trick her into going there.
At least, that's good news for me, this half-year period probably won't be difficult to live, but I still thought.

That night, I didn't see Marcus again, Heli said our bedroom was now mine, and he was going to another room.
I'm not surprised, just a little disappointed, but given the current circumstances, it's probably the best outcome for both of us. Anyway, I'm not his wife, but Eulalia.
The next few days, Marcus didn't come home, Heli said he was on a business trip, I didn't have any special reaction, just nodded to show that I knew. I came here to replace Eulalia as his wife, not to take on the task of warming up their conjugal feelings. Wherever he wants to go, I don't care.
Although I was under detention, I was actually quite comfortable because I had more time to focus on design, and there was no need to worry about being discovered when calling Silas.
“Mom, remember to eat well, don't stay up late, okay?” The immature voice rang out, making my heart melt.
The boy said as he ate, his small mouth swelling like a squirrel.
If it weren't for the current situation, I would really want to rush forward and pinch those chubby cheeks.
My son, that's my son.
“Okay honey, I remember.”
“Mom remembers, but you never did, your eyes are about to look like pandas.” The boy raised his voice.
I looked at myself on the phone screen.
That's true.
Because I took advantage of the opportunity Marcus hasn't been at home these past few days, I made full use of the time, working nearly 18 hours a day.
Looking at Silas's frowning face, I accidentally imagined Marus's mature face, feeling guilty inside.
“Silas, where's Kathryn? Mom wants to talk to Kathryn.”
“Mom, you can't be like that.”
Like seeing through my intentions, little boy was about to raise his voice when the phone was stolen by Kathryn.
“Silas, let me talk to your mother.”
She ran to the next room with it and slammed the door shut, then sighed.
“Ernesta, my friend, when are you planning to come back?”
Kathryn's face was a little worried.
“I don't mind taking care of Silas, but even if he's close to my family, he can't be as good as you. Ernesta, Silas is only four and a half years old.”
I was silent and did not speak.
I know.
I originally planned to arrange a time to at least visit Silas once a week. But since I'm grounded, because I don't want others to find out, I can only change the plan. Otherwise, how could I break my promise to my son.
“Kathryn, me ...”
Knock! Knock!
The knock on the door interrupted my words, I took the phone and went out to open the door slightly when I saw Heli standing outside.
“Lady, someone is coming to see you.”
“Who is that?”
“It's Mr. Willems, your father.”
As soon as the answer ended, Kathryn and I looked at each other on the phone hidden behind the door.
Arthur didn't mean it well here.
“Okay, please bring him up here.”
“Yes, madam.” Heli responded in a low voice and left.
I closed the door and asked Kathryn.
“Has he come looking for my child lately?”
“No.” Kathryn shook her head, “After that day, Neron came to visit once, your parents didn't come.”
“Okay, help me pay attention to the boy, tell me something right away.”
“Yes, Ernesta, be careful.” Kathryn said cautiously.
I nodded and hung up, my eyes rolling around.
It seemed I could guess his purpose.
Eulalia hasn't been affected lately, and the swap hasn't been discovered, so the reason Arthur came here must be because of Marcus, because of business.
But even so, I still had to face him, I couldn't hide.
***
After I finished preparing, Arthur was taken to my room.
As soon as the door closed, he looked around the room and smiled.
“Looks like you don't live badly, right?”
Ha, look, that's his attitude towards his daughter. Outsiders don't know that sometimes they even think I'm the one who live off his house, not the biological child.
I sat down on the sofa, poured tea and asked: “What are you doing here?”
“This is how you talk to dad, Ernesta?”
Arthur's voice was harsh, he must have known that this room was soundproof, so he freely raised his voice like that.
But this is the Johansen family, not Willems, so I'm not afraid of what he can do to me.
“There's no need to act to waste time, after all you don't consider me your daughter. Say whatever you want.”
Arthur's face stiffened, obviously not satisfied with my attitude but not around anymore, “Eastern City Project, your husband said he would let me participate after the wedding ended but until now he always avoid. I don't care what method you use, you have to get him to let me participate in that project.”
I put down the tea cup, stood up and looked straight at Arthur.
“First, Marcus Johansen is Eulalia's husband, not my husband. Second, it's an agreement between you and him, on what basis do you think he will listen to me?”
“Based on you're still here.”
Arthur's words made my whole body immediately stiffen.
What does he mean?
Arthur smirked, displaying a disdainful appearance.
“The women who were brought to Marcus Johansen's side for the sake of benefit, no one could spend the night with him. My daughter, you don't know, right? What other people can't do, you can accidentally.”
I pursed my lips, suddenly speechless.
He continued, “Looks like my method is correct. Girl, you gave me an unexpected surprise.”
Marcus didn't send me away, which meant he accepted me.
I've been here for half a month, if it's true what Arthur said, then I'm indeed an exception and this exception accidentally becomes Arthur's bargain from the sky.
“If it's like this, then maybe Eulalia's return won't be a problem.” Arthur's voice rang out again, “Even extending the term, or abandoning the contract to become an in-law, is better.”
Arthur looked around the room and muttered.
It seems that from my current living space, he sees more than I think.
But will I let him get what he wants? No.
If Marcus has accepted this ‘Eulalia’ then once Eulalia returns, I will run out of value and become an obstacle to Arthur. At that time, will he let me and my son live in peace? Definitely not.
What will happen when Marcus discovers that Eulalia still has a twin sister, me?
And what if he finds out that Silas is his child?
Marcus won't let me go, Arthur will chase and kill me even more.
I understand my biological father's personality very well.
“It's not that easy.” I speak up.
Arthur turned around, his eyes as dangerous as a predatory fox looking straight at me.
“What do you mean?”
“Marcus Johansen is no fool. My personality and Eulalia's are completely different. He has come into contact with me, so even if he meets someone with the same appearance, he can still tell the difference. So, if Eulalia wants to come back, then the only way is to become me.”
I became Eulalia simply because Marcus had never actually met the real Eulalia before, I just needed to dress and work like her. But he's already met me, so if Eulalia wants to come back, she has to become me.
Eulalia, must become a fake version of her.
Arthur also seemed to realize this, he frowned as if concentrating on thinking about something. The moment he was about to open his mouth, I pulled the wig, revealing my original short, red hair, which made his eyes widen.
“You...”
I curled my lips, my voice a bit complacent.
“This hair too, because Marcus saw it, she had to cut it the same way.”

(Ernesta POV)Marcus did not immediately respond.I sat nervously in the passenger seat, regretting asking that question.Where he goes and what he does is his business, what right does a contract wife like me have to interfere?Marcus suddenly spoke up when I gave up trying to find an answer.“When we're having sex, you call 'darling’, why now 'Mr. Johansen' already?”My face suddenly became hot, my hands tightened around the seat belt, and last night's lovemaking was like a replay in my head. His voice rang out, still containing some anger.“Or do you call everyone that way?”The feeling of embarrassment quickly passed, and I was stunned by his next words.“Anytime, anyone who goes to bed with you, you call them 'darling', right Eulalia?”Just as it reached red, the car stopped, Marcus also turned to look at me, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly, blue veins showing. His deep black eyes seemed to want to see through my soul, making me shiver.I don't understand, yesterday
(Ernesta POV)The cancellation of the contract means what? It means that the party deciding to cancel will have to pay the cancellation fee, and once it's paid, of course, there's no connection between them anymore. In other words, right now, in their eyes, I'm the one who ruined the product, so I have to compensate.Yes, it's not Eulalia, it's me, Ernesta.Farah doesn't want to tarnish Eulalia's relationship with the brands, and this is how she's making me suffer.SW is just a new company, but they deal with jewelry, and their investment is not small at all, even the least expensive product costs five figures. This amount is neither small nor large for me right now.But I didn't do it, so why should I take responsibility?"What's going on?" I furrowed my brows at Farah.Farah seems to think I don't understand the situation, with a hint of mockery hidden in her eyes but appearing concerned on the outside."What are you still clueless about? Eulalia, how could you be so careless? The c
(Ernesta POV)After figuring the whole thing out for Silas, I started looking for ideas for the design.Having an idea is not difficult, but having an idea that can meet the requirements is not easy.Celebrating a decade is not a long time but for Noble Dame, it is an extremely important milestone and I want to make it as grand and meaningful as possible. But it's often easier said than done.Even though I've been walking along this street for more than an hour, I still don't have any inspiration.I blinked and saw a flower cafe on the corner of the street. Just as I was about to turn, the phone rang.It was a strange number calling the number Eulalia gave me.I turned a hidden corner and carefully picked up the phone:“Hello, who is there?”“Ernesta Willems?”I frowned, this was not the time to easily give up affirmation. I suddenly rolled my eyes and looked around.Good, no one is suspicious. Before I was about to speak, the woman proactively introduced herself:“No need to worry, I
(Ernesta POV)Heli says I can do whatever I want because I am Mrs. Johansen; from now on, this is my home. After last night, I somewhat understood the man, Marcus, he was not like the rumors, but this result still surprised me. Even though we have registered our marriage, I am still just a bride exchanging benefits as an item in a trade, who would have thought that I could be so free? This is truly an unexpected pleasure. While Marcus was not at home, according to my previous appointment, I went to pick up Silas. As soon as I arrived, the boy ran up to me and hugged my leg, behind him was Neron."Mom, you're finally here."“Good morning little man, how are you today?” I ask."Good, Uncle Neron takes good care of me," Silas replied.I still have a smile on my face, but my mood is a bit down.I understand Silas's personality, if he's really happy, he won't hide his feelings. As for this answer, it shows that Neron really cares about Silas but his days there must have been uncomfortable.
(Marcus POV)It was a hot, sweet night. I've been almost unstoppable since I started touching her, Eulalia is like a drug to me.It wasn't until she fell asleep from exhaustion that I stopped. I was very satisfied but most of all, I hope she is too.I carried Eulalia into the bathroom to bathe her, after drying her body, I dressed her in a simple dress and immediately put her on the bed and covered her with a blanket to keep her warm. It's usually cold at night in Nevy at this time, I don't want her to catch a cold. After her, it was my turn.Finished, I slowly lay down beside Eulalia and that's when I got a good look at her.Five years have passed, but there are certain features of Eulalia that I still remember clearly. She seems to be taller than before, her body is also better, I can even feel her muscles, she must be doing sports regularly. What a hardworking girl. Her face no longer looks young and instead is the seductive beauty of a mature woman but extremely young and dynamic,
